I wanted to love this place. It was good. Came here for a birthday since we were in the area. The waitress seemed kinda rushed since she was covering a larger area. I feel like we should have been warned about how big the portions were since one fish could have fed 2 people. Also , the langostinos had great flavour but I only had a small portion of actual edible parts. Most of the plate was consumed by the legs that were so long and had sharp spikes. I had requested the larger ones but wasn't told they ran out until the small ones were already in front of me.I wish I was told the small ones had crazy legs like that so I could have gotten something else. I didn't say anything since the food had already taken so long. The other shrimp we ordered were sadly overcooked. The food took over 45 minutes to come out , and we had the smallest little dish of ceviche for the six of us. I get it's complimentary , but that dish of the same size is normally served to way smaller parties. Overall the size of the actual plates were comically huge, wish the service was better, and prices would have been acceptable if the quality was better.

Went out for a birthday dinner for a sibling. The service was quick although it was an empty dining…read moreroom. I had some of their cajun pasta and calamari, both were quite small serving sizes for their price. What put me off was adding shrimp to the pasta for 5.99 only to be given exactly five pieces of shrimp. The pasta had nothing cajun about it and served on a big plate to look bigger than it is, far too big for the small table! The pasta itself was nice, however it tasted like grocery store jar alfredo sauce. And the restaurant had far too loud music for so little people there, couldn't even talk properly to the server or family despite sitting so close on a tiny table. Would not recommend

Great place for seafood boil! I was craving a spot that does seafood boils/ seafood by the pound. A…read morelong time ago, in my mid to late 20s era, we would order seafood boil for Father's Day so this was very nostalgic for me. I've seen the sign for Sea Shack from Route 59 and finally got to try it when my sister was visiting Naperville. I called in an order and it was ready in 15 minutes. What we ordered for 3 adults: 1 lb peeled shrimp, mild, + corn + potatoes 1 lb black mussels, mild, + corn + potatoes 1 lb clams, mild 1 corn on the side 1 sausage on the side onion rings chicken tenders and fries 2 orders of rice We had plenty of food and enough for leftovers. My favorite part might be the cajun butter sauce with white rice... even more than the seafood. I love white rice with basically any sauce. The food was fresh, the sauce was mild as requested, still flavorful and not too salty. If you order the clams on its own, no sides, the bag might seem a little small but that's just because the clam meat is so small. For takeout, your seafood will come double bagged so it was leak proof. We decided to empty the bags into bowls since we were doing family style, and it was a hearty meal. I can't comment on the ambiance since it was a takeout order, but we enjoyed our food. We'll be back!

My hubby ordered a chicken sandwich that was just as good.. All of our food was very tasty and we really enjoyed it. Portions are generous so hopefully you're very hungry or be prepared to bring plenty home. I was only able to eat half of my food and brought the other half home and my sandwich seemed better the next day which isn't always the case when you bring things home!! I recommend giving this place a try. I don't think you'll be disappointed. We had a very pleasant experience the food and service were fabulous

Torn on how to score my review. If it was just based on quality of drinks, they would get a 5/5…read morefrom me. However, the poor service from behind the bar is what dropped down my score. Came in on a busy Saturday night after attending another event in the area. The bar was hopping and we snagged the last 2 available seats. At first, it appeared they had 4 bartenders, a manager, and a barback behind the bar. However, other than the barback consistently washing/unloading dishes I am not sure what was going on with the service. Manager was not providing any assistance to his staff. However, he was filling his own water bottle. Other staff were taking selfies with guests. It took awhile to order a second round as well as pay our tab. This was a one and done visit for me.

It was 5:45, I didn't have a reservation, a they didn't have a table available until 7:30 but there were spots at the bar which they said was full service. My friend and I cozied up to it and ate there. What a surprisingly good experience. The staff was super friendly and that bartenders had great suggestions. I hate when people at the restaurant say everything is good. Not these young ladies. They made some sound suggestions which we followed. French onion soup and the steak frites were both excellent and priced well IMO. They have a really good whiskey/bourbon selection with a few hard to find bottles. I settled on a Blantons neat. They had Pappy, but I'm not wasting money on that anymore. Food came out quickly and we ate and watched a baseball game. The locals at the bar told us about their membership program where I guess for a small mo they fee you get a bottle of wine and a charcuterie plate once a month. Seemed like a pretty good deal. I don't live anywhere near there, but if I did I'd certainly join. In any case, if you live anywhere close, this is definitely a worthwhile restaurant to visit. Seems like there were quite a few singles there as well if you are looking to meet someone. I have no idea what the dating scene is like in Lemont, but this might be a good spot to try.

The food is honestly the best thing about this spot; the vibes aren't quite right for a special date night, but might be perfect for a birthday party or girls night out and service can either be hit or miss. If you come here, definitely make a night of it in downtown Lemont - there's lots to explore, whether for a nightcap or dessert after Barrel & Vine to turn it into a night.
