    S10. Peking Duck (Half)

There are few places in town that offer whole fried snapper, crispy Peking duck and Shanghai noodles. Ok, who am I kidding, there is only 1! Red Ginger! Peking Duck is one of my favorite foods EVER! So knowing they carried this got me to stop by REAL FAST! Crispy skin, with juicy brown meaty goodness that melts in your mouth. So many delectable things to choose from on their vast menu... we just couldn't decide so we just ordered... well, everything we couldn't choose between. The service was kind, and attentive. They were even able to make some customizations upon request. The atmosphere is inviting and the establishment was very clean. Crispy wontons with sauces were the complimentary appetizer. They might look simple, but the sauces had so much flavor! Loved this little surprise. The wonton soup was truly the best I can recall ever having. The wontons were huge and the broth was like a warm hug. The whole snapper was SO crispy. I could eat that everyday honestly. Super tender white meat (but be careful of the bones if you have never had it! Not a meal to be rushed.) The beef and broccoli was also excellent! And red ginger has been the only place we have found that have crispy Shanghai noodles (my husbands favorite) I truly can't wait to go back! There were so many other tantalizing offerings on their menu to try!

Nice service and atmosphere. Restaurant smelled good when we entered. Sushi was good, chicken dishes were just ok. Appetizers off the new menu were delicious

So it's been a while since my last review of Red Ginger. Lately instead of dining in I have ordered take out. I'm not talking sweet n sour chicken, broccoli beef, or shrimp in lobster sauce. I'm talking Peking Duck and they do it very well here. At Red Ginger they make very nice soft but still very moist pancakes which you roll your Duck in. I like to lay them flat and coat them with the hoisin sauce. I add the desired amount of Duck with skin and then top with a little scallion for texture. I like to roll it up with one tucked end to hold in the sauce and then chow down. I enjoy some steamed rice with my peking duck and when I'm dining in I finish the meal with some green tea ice cream. If I've thought ahead, and I'm doing take out. I pick up some Häagen-Dazs green tea ice cream at Publix.

New chef's table in neighboring YanZi is awesome. You shouldn't skip it. Red Ginger is great but this is better.

With first day of school was anyone guilty of stress eating today?!? . What is your go to comfort food? Mine is is either burger and fries or #chinesefood . Red Garlic hit the spot with their shrimp in lobster sauce ! The lunch portion was 6 huge shrimp with a salad and a side of #lomeinnoodles or #friedrice . It was everything this anxious momma needed! . #firstdayofschool #comfortfood #foodie #brevardcounty #spacecoastliving #melbourne #eats #yummy #shrimp #supportsmallbusiness #supportlocalbusiness

It was really good. Early bird specials from 3-6 pm, we were here on a Sunday. I had the Pineapple Shrimp w Pork fried rice & egg roll. Husband had Red Ginger Spicy Chicken, white rice & egg roll. Portion sizes were generous and everything was delicious. Server was friendly and available to answer all our questions. We will be back.

Oh my goodness! How have I missed this place? What a delightful little restaurant in a strip mall that serves an amazing variety of Chinese dishes. My friend and I had a real decision to make considering everything on the menu sounded delicious. I had the pineapple shrimp and my friend had the snow prawns. The lunch comes with your choice of egg roll, soup or salad and either white rice or fried rice. We both opted for the egg roll and fried rice. My pineapple chicken was listed as "spicy " on the menu and it had just the right amount of spice; not mouth burning but subtle. My friend liked the sauce on her snow prawns so much that I thought she was going to lick the bowl. A nice little bowl of fried wonton with a dipping sauce is served as you take your seat. I will definitely be back to try some of the extensive items on the menu. Both lunches were less than $20 which was within my budget. Go and enjoy. You'll be glad you did.

The food was really tasty and you can tell much better quality in their ingredients compared to small local carry out spots.

All I can say, this place simply blew my mind!! I never expected this resto to be this GOOD! Came in around 7:15 pm and there's were a few people waiting and I signed up on their Yelp waitlist kiosk. But I got seated about 5-10 mins upon arrival. So when looked at the menu, they had 3 dishes that were Michelin guide recommendations. The first one is their wonton soup, the pan fried Peking duck buns and the steamed buns with bokchoy and mushrooms. So I was curious and had to order the wonton soup and since I love Peking duck, I ordered the buns. Here's my assessment: 1. Pork and shrimp wonton soup - 15/10 - the soup was pretty neutrally flavored but still good to my liking but oh boy, the wonton was out of this world!! It came with 6 large wontons, some bokchoy, seaweed and the broth. I always ask for chili oil and when I took a bite of the wonton, the sudden burst of deliciousness that I felt in my mouth was indescribable. Then I dipped the wonton in the chili oil and it added another layer of umami flavor. This is prolly my Top 2 wonton soup I've had in my life next to the one I've tried in Hongkong years ago!! Every wonton I ate the more I just want to eat more wontons . It's INCREDIBLE. 2. Pan fried Peking duck buns - 20/10 - this should be a Michelin star dish!! The bun was a little sweet, soft but that first bite felt like all my salivary juices just exploded. This is the BEST BAO BUN I've had in America. The most perfect combination of sweet, savory, salty, with a touch of five spice and a gastronomically out of bounds dish - It's UNBELIEVABLE!! Every customer should not leave this resto until they've tried this one!! Trust me, you may want to eat at least 4 pcs of this. I would have wanted to get 2 more but I was already full. 3. Steamed bokchoy with garlic - 10/10 - love the freshness of the bokchoy, well poached and the garlic was just enough that it was not overpowering yet it was garlicky. I wish we can have Kung Fu Kitchen in CA but I guess FL is more business friendly. They also have their sister flagship resto in NY!! So if ever you come to Disney World or Orlando for a work or business trip, pls do yourself a favor and make sure you put this resto as part of your itinerary!!!

I don't know how else to explain, but you can tell when proteins haven't been "washed". There is a raw, gamey like taste that was present in the chicken wings, then again in the fish. It was to the point I could not eat it and my wife had to share her shrimp and grits. The grits were well attended to, stirred occasionally, seasoned well and very creamy. The shrimp was flavorful and it all paired well. The sauce on what I believe was called "miami" flavored, was good, but the chicken was not edible unless you would bite a chicken in the wild. I had heard great things about it and hadn't gotten the chance to go until recently. This is mostly because they're located in Windermere, which is a bit aways from most of Orlando. It was chosen as the dinner location for a work dinner for Asian American Heritage Month. May might be over, but Asian food is forever. It's in a very cute location with shops around and ample of parking. They had tables set aside for us and they have a full menu as well as the dim sum menu, which you mark how many of an item you want. Family style dining as is most Asian dining. The interior is super nice and it does feel upscale. They have large tables and some smaller ones but it's not a huge restaurant space. This means the meals feel very cozy and intimate. We got the squid ink shrimp dumplings and regular shrimp dumplings. They were both a 9/10. I will say that squid ink anything does not add to the flavor, just the color of the food. Squid ink is slightly more expensive. The shumai was a 9/10. By the way the dumplings were huge and about 4 pieces per order. We tried the curry fish balls, which essentially is fish balls like the ones you get at hot pot cooked in a yellow curry. It was my first time trying this and I thought it was just ok. This was a 5.5/10. Some ordered beef and broccoli for the table and it was delicious. Definitely a large dish to be shared. That was an 8.5/10. We tried their wonton soup which came with noodles and bok chop. This was an 8/10. The fried shrimp balls were excellent and is a 9/10 for me. Normally, I think they are either too savory or oily. However, these ones had great crips and really well balanced flavor. We tried my favorite dim sum dish, which is the rice rolls with shrimp. This was a 6/10 for me. It just wasn't my favorite one that I have had. We also tried the mango custard bun, which was a 8/10. Overall, I would give them a 8/10. It is a little on the more pensive end for dim sum but the atmosphere is nice and service is pretty good. I love dumplings. I could eat dumplings any day, all day. The place is elegantly decorated with an Asian theme. However, some of the benches attached to the booths had worn out upholstery. Our server, Yumi (spelling?) was polite and efficient. We had the salt and pepper squid appetizer. It was plentiful and great with the accompanying sauce. However, we didn't like the breading. And I dared to bite into one of the peppers that accompanied it and it set my mouth on fire. For dinner we had the Szechuan scallops and the XO fish. The scallops were tasty and the dish had lots of broccoli, peppers, and mushrooms. The sauce was a bit sweeter than we expected. The XO fish sauce was very similar to the Szechuan sauce and though the fish was a tad salty, it was still savory. The asparagus that accompanied that dish was chopped (easier to eat) and there were plenty of sweet snap peas and bell peppers. We adore snow pea tips and were in the mood for lots of veggies. So, we got an order to accompany our meals. We did take home most of it, along with lots of broccoli (for me) from the Szechuan scallops. We were treated to a complimentary Chinese-style dessert made with peeled split mung beans and thickened with tapioca starch into a gooey, translucent pudding that was served warm. Our meal of 1 appetizer, 2 entrees, 1 order of veggies, a pot of tea, tax, and tip was $138.
