The tempura shrimp in the Monster Roll was not cleaned, and when I called to inform the owner/manager, his response was, "we never clean our shrimp," referring specifically to the "poot shoot" and "crap vein." There was no concern for customer satisfaction, no apology, and no intention or plans to correct the issue. The dismissive attitude alone was enough to ensure I won't make this mistake again. We enjoy stopping at this location whenever we are in Arlington. We prefer their fried rice and sushi options are great. The team is always attentive and constantly checking on us. This place can be noisy just because we tend to come around the dinner rush. Their seating is very open and you can easily hear the person next to you speaking. Sashimi here was SO YUMMY. We came in for dinner on a holiday weekend, and there was no wait for a party of 3. We were told there was only 1 server for the whole restaurant. The waitress seemed pretty rushed but still friendly and did her best to take care of us. The food did take a while to come out though (maybe about 45 min), which was expected. One thing though, when we were waiting for our food, a large insect was crawling across the floor. It was not a good first impression.. Came with the Monster roll, Cordova roll, 5 pieces nigiri, 9 pieces sashimi. Tasted very fresh. The sashimi pieces were SOO THICK, and we loved it. My favorite was the yellowtail, and the salmon was also up there. Tuna was okay. The Monster roll was not my favorite, it was pretty smokey and lots of sauce, but it was a bit too overwhelming. The Cordova roll was tasty and simple, with multiple types of fish and avocado - Hibachi steak and shrimp dinner (3.5/5): It had good flavor, but the dish was not warm when it was served. Steak and shrimp were cooked well, but it seemed like they were sitting out for a while - Gyoza (3/5): The flavor was just eh. My go to's are spicy crawfish roll, spider roll, and spicy crab tempura roll! All are really good. They have a great weekend special on sushi where you get 3 rolls (one speciality) and choice of soup or salad for $11.95 which is a really good price for the quality and goodness! It's so worth it! Best deal around. I haven't been able to dine in to update on the service but whenever I call they take my order and I don't have any issues. Do avoid calling right at 12pm though!
