Nice little place, comfy rooms, small but nice breakfasts, near major highways. Didn't use the pool, but enjoyed the chocolate chip cookies.

If I could give it 0 stars I would. When we were sleeping it sounded like a jet of an airplane going off nonstop. Also adding to the fact management here is bad we paid $50 for an extension, at 11 am we had someone knocking on our door saying we didn't pay for it the manager which was a girl was also not nice about it not even saying in a nice tone just constantly yelling. The owner and staff here are the worst I've ever experienced in my life. I was a traveling sales person for 15+ years and I've never had such bad experience. Legitimately the worst. Owner screamed at my kids for being too loud in the pool. They were just laughing and playing. So they had to be quiet and play in the pool. Then the owner marched out there and hung signs with tape with new rules while we were in there! After that, we went back in the morning to swim in the pool again... they locked the doors and shut it down. Then, I was sitting in the car... same owner pounded on my car window and yelled "what room number are you!" I said 223. I was just sitting there. He got in an yelling match with my mother in law and my wife as well. He's insane. Owner barely speaks English and where's a mask while he is screaming at you so you cant understand what he is saying most of the time. He is legitimately off the rails. Coronavirus has been over for like a year and he wears a mask while he is doing lawn work. Do not stay here.. especially with kids. You will regret it. read more

Dirty, and amenities not as described. Bed so old it has a permanent dip, ripped blankets. Breakfast is only coffee and granola bars. Pool closed indefinitely. The tub and toilet have not been cleaned in months, mold was growing, a lot of it! I will never stay here again. read more

First off, let me state I try not to leave negative reviews. However sadly, many of the negative reviews on this Super 8 are correct. Our room was okay upon entering. Every noise from the room above us was loud. The fitted sheets on the bed were so worn out, evertime I turned over, the sheet pulled out from being tucked in under the mattress. Took a shower the first day and left for the day. Maid(s) came in and sort of straightened up the bed. All of that morning's dirty towels were still on the bathroom floor, no clean towels to replace them. After staying at other fairly nice Super 8s on this roadtrip, this one was a great disappointment. read more

Bed bugs, someone tried to smash my car window in as I heard them outside my window and ran out, clump of hair in the shower, but with my issues I stayed up vomiting and anxiety attack after waking up to 10+ bed bugs running off my body. I punched one. I know they are just a stupid thing but I stay in hotel 200 days a year, I have had them one other time in Montana at the 50,000. Cleanish bathroom, loud neighbors above and I could hear peoples whole conversation next to me. read more

Did the job. Only reason why decided to come here was due to the fact that they had parking for semi trucks in the back. The place is not that bad but pretty decent to the fact that if I needed a place to stay in the area again I would come back here. The staff was friendly and very knowledgably. The room was what expected. Nice and clean with a comfy bed. I slept great nothing bothered me and I had peace of mind my truck was park in a safe area. Price was fair for what it was worth. the location was near a strip of mall so if you do not have transportation like me, you can easily walk to get something to eat. Huge disappointment for a Wyndham property. The most filthy motel we have had the misfortune of staying in. The carpet in the room was dirty and furniture was beat. This is a know before you go. We stayed at the super 8 motel over the Fourth of July weekend in Kelso, WA. The check-in was fine. The young man was fine. The room smelled musky and was not clean. I had to go get the cleaner out of my car and wipe down the surfaces. There were thick layers of dust on the chairs the table had leftover remnants from the guests beforehand. There was a joke in the bathroom ceiling , the shower curtain rod had been pulled down and then screw bank in all crooked. The sink had some black sludge stuff in it and they were long black hairs in the shower and on the walls. We would've complained but it was late at night and again the poor front desk guy just did not seem happy. So I clean the room pulled back the sheets which look fine but the blankets has old time cigarette burns in them which was gross and it's supposedly a non-smoking property. The cover had holes and tears too. The little piece of paper telling us who cleaned the room looked like it had been crumpled up multiple times and possibly wet and then placed back on the counter which was also very indicative of the quality of the room. I tried to find a different hotel in the area for our weekend but everything was booked out so we had to make the best of it. When I went to the front counter in the morning I was greeted by a very very unhappy employee who definitely needs better corporate support and encouragement on customer service skills which I'm not gonna get into because she was just really an unhappy person. Which made me sad for her. We didn't spend a lot of time there so it was more like sleeping in a tent with a hard frame around us and we had an amazing time at Mount Saint Helens and the ape caves. But the money spent definitely wasn't worth it. I would never ever suggest a super 8 again. I can't believe that Wyndam allows this motel to have their name on it. read more

We were very disappointed in this motel. I just had surgery, and wanted to go rest. We were 4 doors down from the laundry facility and it sounded like a jet engine running for an hour. We called the front desk to ask if we could get a different room and they hung up on us. The staff weren't wearing masks. In our fridge, there were 2 Starbucks packaged meals that were old and freezer burnt. The carpet was dirty... and out comforter had cigarette burns. The sign said no smoking allowed, but we smelled smoke. Lastly, a man who works there knocked on our door, pushed his way past my husband to see if the hair dryer worked. I called the manager and all she had was excuses. "The girl that hung up on you was new, she's training." "Oh, that was was our maintenance man." BS. read more

I was so disappointed in this hotel. I thought because it was sponsored by Wyndham it would be at least satisfactory. The only positive part was the bed seemed comfortable ( though I was exhausted from driving 11hours). The linens were clean but that was all. The carpet through out the hotel was awful! Filthy doesn't describe it. Stains everywhere. It appeared the place might have been used as a homeless shelter as there was dog poop everywhere even on the walkway into the building. The back door was propped open for anyone to enter. There were numerous people sitting on the curb in the parking lot. The service was poor. The attendants were standing outside smoking and had to be asked to come in and wait on patrons. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. read more

On the website it says pool closes at 10. We get here after a long drive wanting to spend time in the pool and get told that the pool is closed now at 9. Ruined the whole trip here. Won't come back. Most motels keep pool open until at least 10 but mostly stay open until 11. I'm not happy at all. If I would have known that the website was a big lie, I would have never got a room here. read more

The best part about this hotel is its price. Other than that, do not expect anything else for what you paid for. Rooms are old. Ceilings and part of the walls are dirty. Not so comfortable pillows and bed. Small rooms. Filthy pool. Bad breakfast. Definitely the only time I am staying at this hotel, but again, for its price, you just cannot expect more. We were evacuated from our home for repairs and had almost no options of where to stay because of the upcoming holiday weekend. First arrived to a room on the second floor closest to the park. It was a nice location but the room looks like someone got side tracked from cleaning and stopped mid way. Toilet was never scrubbed between guests, the seat was filthy. Someone else's urine on it. Scrubbed it myself. Bath tub was dirty as well. Windows all had grubby fingerprints on them. The TV guide was covered in sticky ice cream (maybe). The top decorative comforters have never been cleaned and they provide zero warmth. They are only for looks, but with stains all over them, they don't serve that purpose well either. Only one trash can in the room and it came without a trash bag. Luckily I had brought a couple of my own. Third night there the vent in our ceiling started leaking water onto the toilet. Called the front desk and they offered to move us but It was late at night and would have been a pain to switch rooms at that time. We were already in bed when we heard the waterfall in the bathroom. Asked instead if they could bring us some extra towels to get us through the night. They never brought the towels up. Luckily the leak slowed to a dribble and we were able to get to sleep eventually. Only to be woken to the sound of elephants above us. They are either body slamming each other or holding an aerobics class. After a couple more nights of no sleep, even with earplugs, enough was enough so we asked to switch rooms to the 3rd floor so no one could be above us. Unfortunately there was no rooms available on the same side of the hotel so they put us on the side closest to rite aid parking lot. Where the train passes by every half hour or so and shakes the room. The vibration isn't nearly as annoying as listening to everything in the room rattle. Second room on the 3rd floor had 2 trash cans, both with liners. Fridge, AC and flooring in bathroom seem newer which is nice. But the comforters in this room both have burns in them. It's a non smoking room so I don't know why they are burnt or why they haven't been replaced. One of the beds had sheets that were inside out. Knowing this could be a dirty trick used to save time cleaning, I pulled the sheet off to check if it was dirty on the other side...it sure was! Covered in dog hair which actually bothers me less than knowing they purposely just flipped the sheets to be lazy. I thought everyone was supposed to be extra clean during covid? This place is a cesspool honestly. WiFi in the entire hotel shows it's at full power, but hasn't worked once except to cause major frustration. They shouldn't even be able to advertise they have WiFi when it's this useless. Both rooms have stains all over the carpets and bedding. The dining chairs are very old and beat up. Stained fabric and chipped wood on the arm rests. Unfortunately we are stuck here longer than we want to be. As soon as this holiday is behind us we are hoping to find vacancy ia different hotel. Update - we drove out of our way to go camping instead. The real dirt is cleaner than this place...honestly it's cleaner than anything you will find in Kelso read more

On Sept. 17 checked in at 3:15pm, got a room #101 right next to the motel laundry room. From 3:15pm to 5:30pm it sounded like being next to a jet starting it's engine, the nose was so deafening couldn't hear each other talking or the TV, the sound could be heard all the way to the lobby. One word... Dirty. Sheets had blood on them. Comforter had crusty food or something. Towels were stained. Carpet was torn. Carpet in and out of the room needed vacuuming. Asked for clean sheets and they told me I needed to come down and get them myself. Air conditioner was old and very loud. Spa was closed for repairs. Location is ok. Continental breakfast is decent with a Belgian waffle maker. I would pay $50 a night. If I went back to Kelso, I would definitely stay elsewhere. read more

Do yourself a favor and avoid this dump I would not even allow my dogs to walk on the carpet. First thing was they left the window open next to the back door where people smoke. Lamp next to bed didn't work. Unplugged somewhere behind the bed. No soap. Only one bath towel. Stopped here on a trip from California through Washington. I couldn't have been happier with this choice. The hotel was clean, the staff was friendly, the room was in great shape. I didn't go down to the pool, but the people who were there seemed to be having fun. The parking lot is a tiny bit hard to find - you have to go in through a strip mall parking lot. I stayed at super 8 in Kelso. When I checked out a bag was left in the room. When I went back they had no record of the bag being turned. Now I am 100% positive the bag was there. My items were kept by the employees. The room had not been rented to anybody else and they wouldn't let me look in the room. THEY ARE NOT TRUST WORTHY! read more

The basics were there, except if you count the missing sugar & creamer for the not so good coffee in the room. The refrigerator was not too cold and you may have to play with the room's thermostat. The room itself was very small with a queen sized bed... no closet and a tiny bathroom. 'Breakfast' was chaotic . Finding the parking lot and which door to park near the elevator were a challenge. Wyndham Worldwide owns the property and they should review their quality standards because this one does not meet the metrics you might expect. The rate was also $20 more than a much larger room at the Red Lion, only 100 yards away. I observed another "guest" pay $40 at the front desk of the Super 8 because she wanted a larger room. read more

This place is in the traveler's coupon book you can find at most McDonalds and Denny's restaurants. With the coupon the price is reasonable for the area. They have a nice indoor heated pool with jacuzzi although people can watch you from the lobby and the water seemed a bit green. The bathroom sink had zero counter space and the sink had a very inconvenient faucet handle and you can't slurp water out of it because the faucet is too low. This is fairly trivial stuff of course and overall the place was fine although judging from all the semi trucks in the parking lot it's close to being a truck stop. It's just off the freeway and there are a bunch of places to eat right next door. read more

Very convenient spot to stay at if you are visiting Mt. St. Helens. Worst room. The shower has no curtain. The floor is covered in mold. The whole room smells terrible. We chose this hotel because it had high reviews on here, how I have no idea! I'm not impressed at all. The sheets are clean at least but the rest is not worth the $87 we paid. Never go under $100 is the new rule. Stay at red lion next door. We stayed for the labor day weekend. We reserved a Accessible room and arrived early,early morning. The room when we got in it was extremely outdated and smelled musky and moldy! When the air was turned on it just magnified the smell. I pulled the filters and they were brown and filthy! The next morning my wife and I both had sore throats, and my nose was running! We took our showers and I noticed that the tub had a dark line on the separation of the tub from the splash wall! looked closer and found mold on the sealant and the curtain! This motel in in need of a lot of TLC! If you have allergies or breathing issues, DO NOT STAY HERE! HEALTH RISK! I actually told the General Manager and she didn't seem to concerned about the issues! They have a large cleaning staff, we saw at least 6 in the hall! so why can't they clean. There is no way you couldn't detect the smell! Beds need to be upgraded but not the most comfortable bed I've ever stayed in but service was good and restaurants were close and so was the freeway. Rate was ok also. Rooms were very clean and quite neighborhood for being next to the freeway. I had the east side of the hotel. read more

Not bad for a cheaper commercial grade hotel. I normally stay at Sheratons or boutique hotels but one was actually pretty decent for the price. We were tired from driving on the road and just wanted a place to crash. It is right off the freeway and it did not seem to attract any drifter types here. Had a nice pool and the clerks were really nice. The bathroom was very clean and every room has a frige and microwave so that was nice. Good place to stop over for a budget hotel for under $100. read more

A typical budget chain highway hotel. Room was clean, and quiet (likely because of low occupancy). Staff was very friendly. Room, like most in places like this, was not set-up for laptop working - no convenient power outlets. We had to unplug the fridge and microwave to get two outlets for our electronics. The clothes hanging rack had obviously fallen, or been knocked off of the wall and was re-mounted too low to be able to hang a pair of 34" inseam pants without them hitting the floor. We didn't take advantage of the continental breakfast or the pool (it was closed when we arrived). read more
