I was not overly impressed by this hotel in terms or room and amenities, but it is a budget hotel. I will say the breakfast was better than I expected, the tv worked and had plenty of channels to choose from, there's a heated pool, and the staff was pleasant and helpful. Every interaction we had with the folks at the front desk was a positive one. The lady that checked us in gave us the rundown on everything about the hotel (amenities), and she gave plenty of recommendations for us while we were in the area. The ladies that checked us out were also very helpful especially in that they let us cancel the last 2 nights without and fees or hassles. This hotel is rather old and outdated. My room didn't have the best scent, there wasn't any body wash in the bathroom, and the key cards could easily become demagnetized. Some tips: Take advantage of the complementary breakfast. It starts around 6am and lasts a few hours. And remember to bring body wash Again, for what it is, it's not a bad budget hotel. It's just outdated. This is really 5 star because of the staff working. Their manager was accomodating and the one who caught our eye doing the 5 star service was Lorena, the house keeper who is running the breakfast hall. Ive been to other hotels but she will make sure you are raken care of. Always not missing a beat in cleaning the tables. She keeps an eye which needs to be refilled without anyone having to ask for it, she will almost make yhe waffles for you if you ask her. She is a gem of an employee, you can tell she gives 100% care in what she does. I do wish the bathroom fixing would be updated if theres anything that needs improvement. read more

My daughter and I were in town for a bowling tournament she was participating in and the hotel offered a discount for those in the tournament. We had planned on staying 3 nights but decided that 2 was 2 too many. The people were the best part of this experience. We weren't treated bad, is that a compliment? From me it is. The reservationist was kind. I mentioned that I'm a disabled veteran who has an "emotional support bird" that travels with me everywhere I go. Most people don't have a problem. He's quiet, neat, and most people don't even see him or know he's there. The VA hasn't passed legislation about intelligent birds being "service animals", though my bird helps me in many ways to cope with situations. Even so, I declare everywhere that he is technically just an "emotional support animal" and NOT a "service animal". That most hotels consider that a "pet". The man said it would be "no problem" that he would place me in a ADA compliant room where people bring service animals and that I would not be charged a "pet fee". I don't do confrontations well, so I was pleased to handle this so well over the phone. When we arrived, the receptionist was pleasant and kind. She was honest in not displaying some fake happiness within the lack-luster work space and it was greatly appreciated. She helped me to feel comfortable. The room was on the ground floor which was nice as they do not have an elevator and we travel with a bunch of gear. (cage, stand, bowling ball/s, food, etc.) The room appeared "OK" at first glance, but upon further inspection, we discovered a lot of issues that were pretty gross. I'm trained ex-military, so I know "clean". I've traveled around the world also, so I know "dirty". The room was "gross" by third world standards. I took pictures so you can see for yourself. As I was taking pictures, the room phone rang and it was the manager. She was explaining that it was written down that I had a "service animal" but that the lady saw me bring in a "bird". I walked the manager through the run-down of the conversation I had with the reservationist and I could hear and feel the tone from her as if I was telling a lie. She asked me if I booked online and I told her, "No." With a bit of a "tolerant" tone she explained that I wouldn't be charged a pet fee "this time" but that next time they would make note that it's a bird so it's a "pet" and there "is a pet fee". I thanked her and hung up a bit sick to my stomach that I had to thank her for the emotional/psychological "keel haul". The manager should have looked at the reservation and identified who had taken it, contacted that person before calling me and I would not have had to deal with that. After the call, I went back to my "inspection", taking photos of damage and filth so we would have evidence of it so as not to be charged for it. EVERYONE SHOULD DO THIS. I walked up to the front desk and asked to speak to the manager. Betty came out and she appeared curious but postured. I explained nicely that there were a few issues with the room that I wanted to point out so that we wouldn't be charged for it. I went down the images including the fecal build-up behind the toilet, in the corner, and under the toilet, dripping stuff down the wall, stains on the lamp shade (?), ripped chair, damaged and filthy carpet, scored flooring, missing parts of the toilet, bent refrigerator, etc.. I explained that it's understandable that housekeeping can get into a "routine" and feel like things are "clean enough" according to their personal standards and that most people probably don't complain. The manager offered a "thanks" and I walked away. She called the room when I got back and said she would like to refund $67 off of my 3-night stay but did not offer to have the room cleaned correctly nor another room that has been "properly cleaned". I took the discount. Moving in was a disaster. The only luggage trolly they had that carried hanging items was welded and the sharp welding had not even been ground down smooth, it snagged my finger, but whatever. THAT caught my attention. The wheels we wonky and would not roll straight. There was a sticker on one side that said, "PULL" and on the other side "PUSH". Tripe "PULL" side or pulled the "PUSH" side. Very frustrating. The red carpet photo was from the trolly surface.. gross. Tried to heat up coffee and the paper cup began to smoke. The rotating function stopped and began to burn the cup on the inside and out just above the coffee line. They replaced the microwave. Tried to get hot water from the sink. Let it run for 30 minutes and only got luke warm water. Knowing plumbing, I ran the tub to get more volume. 10 minutes to warm water, not hot. BEDS WERE ITCHY BOTH NIGHTS. Breakfast lady was sweet. Bulk steamed omlettes and mystery extruded sausage patties, if you're wanting protein options. Bleh. I've stayed in worse but at $105 a night (after the $67 refund, bowling and military discounts). Don't stay here. read more

Once again, another stop on the 2017 West Coast Eclipse trip. We came to Longview for the Squirrelfest (really!) and found a place to stay that was nearby, had free parking AND we got a discount through the NMU alumni group. The woman that checked us in was abundantly friendly and super helpful. I felt at ease right away and knew that we were in good hands. The next day, for checkout, we had a similar experience with a different person. The hotel is a ways from the town (I mean, not walking distance) and the staff that we met is top-notch. Should we find ourselves in Longview again, this is an easy pick; stay here! read more

Drove by based on Yelp reviews, left. Bad area, not well lit. Next to an oil refinery. On the drive over I had to shut off the car circulation system because I started getting irritated from the fumes. Petrol is great for cars, not so much for humans.... Maybe best not to sleep in oil refinery waste fumes if you have a choice. read more

Staff was very helpful, which is the only thing that kept them from being a 1-star. Dried blood and other body fluid on the sheets, and old, dilapidated rooms make this a must-pass hotel. On the bright side, it is only a couple of hours to Mt St Helens, and is only 9 miles from the high school where Twilight was filmed! read more

My husband and I checked in around 8pm after being on the road all day. Hotel front desk (Laura) was kind and helpful. Our room was very clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. There were plenty of pillows and the sheets were soft and spotless. Even though this hotel is located in the "industrial" area - it was VERY quiet. Breakfast consisted of DIY waffles, yogurt, fresh fruit, scrambled eggs and sausage. I would stay here, again! read more

Really pleased with this establishment. It's extremely clean, both and in and outside the inn. I was actually pretty surprised, as often inns in small towns seem to take a step down in terms of cleanliness and quality. Free wifi, continental breakfast, and flatscreen TVs. Mini fridge, clean coffee maker, and even a microwave. A great location for a family planning on visiting Mount St. Helens, Astoria, Canon Beach. Golfers: if you're planning on spending a day or two hitting the Southern Washington courses, I'd recommend this inn as a great, clean and comfortable place to spend the night, fill up on a hot breakfast, and then spend all day on the links. read more

Definitely not worth the $100+ per night. The hotel staff were completely disorganized from the beginning and there was no management on sight. We checked in after 3pm (the check in time) and walked into our room to find it completely undone, ie. bed without sheets, bedding on the floor, cleaning supplies in the middle of the room. The housekeeper who was cleaning the next room apologized and said that she still needed to clean the bathroom in tha room. No big deal. We went back downstairs and requested a new room as we were in a hurry to be checked in and leave. We were assigned a SECOND room and boom! The door was open and the room completely undone (without a housekeeper in sight). We went back downstairs, at this point ready to get back in the car and look for a new hotel to stay. Instead, we were assigned a THIRD room, and surprise, surprise! Room not fully cleaned yet. Rags in the floor and one bed without blanket. We went back downstairs to cancel our stay and get a refund. The receptionist said she needed the managers' approval for "canceling our reservation", since was over the 24 hour grace period (huh? since there wasn't a room for us, that we paid for, we wanted a refund . After waiting for a while, the manager wasn't reachable by phone we were promised we will get a call back about getting a refund. In the interim I talked to hotels.com, whom indicated that they couldn't guarantee a refund without the manager's approval. Hotels.com also tried to call the manager and they couldn't reach him/her. We kept the reservation and went about our business since we had somewhere to be (we didn't put our bags in the room in case the refund was approved). The receptionist said she'll call us when she got a hold of the manager. We never got a call. We returned at night. The stay was uneventful. The carpet was dirty and the room looked ran down overall. We checked out and there was no acknowledgement of the check in fiasco. No discount offered, despite that we didn't use the room (because it wasn't one ready) until we returned in the evening. This hotel is not worth the $100+ a night. Go somewhere else. read more

At least I know the germs are dead. - The building is somewhat dated. The walls, fixtures etc could have been in better shape, but I understand this is not a luxury hotel. - Relatively small dining area, so you could be having breakfast standing up. - The bed was soft and springy, and bad for my back. It made me groan every time I turned over; I missed my tempurpedic - They have this pathetically small pool and Jacuzzi I would likely stay here again if I was in the neighborhood. Quality Inn & Suites is a decent chain that I've had a modicum of success with. Like Best Western their locations seem to vary greatly in quality. The difference is Best Western always seem to come in above the bar. Quality Inn generally does not so I was not necessarily looking forward to this nights stay. When we arrived at the hotel we noticed that the location was not in the nicest area of Longview. Then I noticed they were the Gold Award Winners. This is encouraging even though I have no idea what that award is or what weight it carries. For all I know some guy who works there was like "Hey, lets just say we won the Gold Award!" While I was waiting to check in the lady at the front desk answered the phone saying "Thank you for calling Quality Inn & Suites Longview the Gold Award Winner, how may I help you?" Wow, they are really pushing this Gold Award. I was starting to become impressed. (I looked it up later and like hundreds of hotels have won this award) After checking in we headed to the room. My wife noted that the room didn't smell right. I didn't notice but then again I have allergies and can't smell anything.The room was ok but it was certainly the least comfortable I felt in any hotel so far on my trip. The room was a little dated and it was in need of some updates. Also, 5 minutes after getting into the room the door opens and one of the cleaning service people walk in. She said this room was on her list to clean but it was done and we were already in there. It was just a strange and awkward moment. The next morning I headed down to breakfast and it was uninspiring at best. The eggs didn't look very good and the sausage was not good. They did have a waffle maker so you could have waffles or cereal so all was not lost. All said and done I was happy when I was checking out because I knew my experience was over. I'm not sure who they paid to win the Gold Award but I'm not sure it's fully deserved. I give the Quality Inn & Suites Longview 2 Doubledays. read more

An OK bet as far as price, cleanliness and helpful staff (considering the city it is in), but don't have too many expectations beyond this.. I decided to stay in the Longview, WA Quality Inn Suites to earn some points toward my Choice Privileges Rewards Program membership (free to join). After passing by a few other hotels, this looked halfway decent from the outside so I went in and checked their prices. For a double queen bed room for one night, it was about $70. The lady at the desk was very helpful and courteous. One thing that struck me about the hotel is all the video cameras they have all over inside and outside the hotel. Longview doesn't seem like the safest place as far as crime goes, but I would rather stay somewhere with some semblance of security- this was a plus. The rooms were fairly clean overall, with all the usual stuff: flat screen TV, heat/ air conditioning, small refrigerator (which you have to plug back in to use- they unplug it when the room is not in use to save energy), free wireless internet (however slow). Even with all the lights on, the room was pretty bleak, and you might as well keep the curtains closed because there isn't much to see outside. The beds are comfortable. The fact that they have a Continental Breakfast is a plus, but it is nothing special (Cereal, Juice, Yogurt, Waffle maker, Fruit, Muffins, Coffee etc.) They have some tables, TV and newspapers on hand in the morning. If you just want someplace clean, safe to stay, that allows you to get a good nights rest- this is your place. If you are looking for more, keep looking. This place is bleak inside and out. read more

This hotel is NOT worth $104/night. They turn the air conditioning and the frig off in the rooms to conserve energy which results in a room that is HOT upon arrival & not cool for 8 hours (pretty weak a/c unit with a limit on how cold it will get) & a frig that is the same. Our shower was broken & we had to call the front desk asking for someone to come look at it. 'Justin' came up & acted like needing two feet up on the wall while you pulled the handle out was no big deal at all & that we were being ridiculous. We were just passing through & nect time we will continue north to Chehalis to the Holiday Inn. read more

We traveled to Longview for my Mom's funeral. I booked a room for 2 nights after seeing good reviews. The front desk staff were very helpful the manager not so much. My wife is disabled so we had a handicap room. It was very clean when we checked in however the bed was too tall for a disabled person to get into. They didn't have a stool so we made do with a toilet extender. When we left the next morning I asked for clean towels at the front desk. When we returned after 5 pm there was no clean towels and a dirty room!! The front desk brought clean towels and emptied the trash but we still had a dirty bathroom!! My expectation for a clean ADA compliant room was not met nor were we compensated!!! read more

My daughter recently took a job in Longview and we've been here several times (interview process, renting an apt, moving)... And each time the hotel has been GREAT! It's super clean and the staff is very nice and accommodating. Although there aren't restaurants and things within walking distance, Longview is a small town and plenty of places close by. Quiet area and the hotel feels very safe- there's always someone at the front desk and other from that you need your room key to get it other doors. read more

This was our first time staying here for the STP (Seattle to Portland) ride and my family were blown away by their customer service level, as well as the clean rooms and tranquil pool and hot tub. On the 1st day of the ride, just 3 miles from Quality Inn, my husband crashed in front of me, and while swerving to miss him, I also crashed - even harder. Which means we arrived at the Inn bloodied, bruised and swollen looking. The front desk clerk took one look at us, and got us several Ziploc bags of ice, extra towels and food. In fact, they put out a wonderful spread just for the STP riders which included cold water and Gatorades, fresh fruit and tasty treats. My sons were delighted by them all and we were grateful for all of it. The next morning they had extra food for the STP riders as well. After seeing our sons off on their ride, we decided to get back on our bikes too. That meant getting fresh bandages from the front desk and fixing up our bikes in the conference room. But we absolutely couldn't have finished our triumphant ride without the assistance of Elisabeth M. at the front desk, who went above and beyond excellent customer service when she loaned us her car so we could take our bags to the drop off point on time!! We will definitely stop here again - hopefully on a less eventful STP ride. read more

Stayed at the hotel last week on a business trip. Had no issues. The side door cardlock was finicky and they knew about the problem. Had issues with my credit card and they were helpful and patient as I worked through the issue. Room was great but internet was slow and disconnected frequently. Might have been the horrible ice storm - nothing more. Recommended! read more

Room very small for a "suite". At check-in I got to hear about how one employee's recent bankrupcy was impacting their business because a debt collector refused to accept the judgement so during check in the collector called no less than 50 times. The dryer plug in had something on it that looked very gross, had to leave a note on 3rd day since it still hadn't been cleaned. I asked 3 times about the sofa, the left side you sink into the hideabed and practically sit on the floor. They told it was "normal" and nothing wrong with it. housekeeping came by, promptly took care of grossness on the dryer then asked me if there were other issues, I mentioned the sofa. As soon as I sat down to show her, her first response was "that isn't right". we tried a few things, no luck. She said she would turn it in but still nothing changed. So for the week have to be at the hotel we are stuck on sitting on the bed for comfort. I do not want to change rooms - too much stuff to move & we have dogs with us that are just settling down with this room. ALso, great room location when you have pets that have to go outside. Really, how hard is it to change out the sofa to one that is reasonable or fix this one? Instead, customers are dismissed. They allow pets but no place to potty them but an overgrown field. Staff overall are nice & polite. Breakfast is the SAME thing every morning. Juice, waffles, fruit, cereal, Hostess mini muffins, sausage, dry potatoes & biscuits/gravy. Free wifi but its VERY VERY slow. Overall Not bad, not great. read more
