Beautiful countryside hotel with surprisingly good, though not oppulent, breakfast. I might have been lucky because I had a very cosy room in the main building which seems to be the oldest part - could cause some problems for people who are taller than Tom Cruise as the doors have a mediveal heights... All in all a nice experience offsite of the international brands.

As far as airport hotels, crowne plaza is a good choice. Connected to terminal 4. Clean. Standard…read morerooms. More spacious than something you'd get in central London. The carpet and some furnishings can be dated, but the bathrooms are updated and everything looks clean. Bathrooms look updated, very meticulously clean. The food: the good news: we got in late, but luckily, they have a handful of dishes served 24/7. The food was decent, nothing special but nice. They deliver it to the room. Chicken club was good, and the chips were nice, though not super crispy. The bad news: I think the chicken wing portion was a bit small for $15. The bleu cheese wasn't great. I was charged 5 pounds for a "tray charge," which was confusing, because it's not listed on the menu and I certainly didn't need the tray. The spring rolls definitely have the frozen taste and just too sweet for me. They delivered two bottles of coke, but no bottle opener. We tried to open it ourselves on the side of the counter, and the glass broke, so just a bit frustrating. I called and they brought one right up, though, so lesson learned. (I just wish they'd been a bit kinder or even given an apology for the oversight as opposed to acting like we're asking for something extreme.) Overall, I'd recommend staying for sure.

Very easy to get to this hotel in Terminal 4. Check in was easy- they even upgraded my room to 2…read moretwin beds since I was traveling with a friend. The room was small, but clean. The bedding was a duvet cover that I hope is laundered after each visit! The bathroom was very clean and I liked the walk in shower. The hotel provided complimentary bottle water. I arrived very late so I wasn't able to go to the main dining room which closes at 9:30 pm. The bar was pleasant, but I wouldn't recommend ordering the cheese platter since the cheeses IMO were not very tasty. I had to go to Terminal 2 for my flight to LAX, and the quickest way is the Tube. Just follow the signs to the train, and don't forget to tap your card when entering the tube or you will get charged about for the ride.

Positives: *…read moreExcellent location less than 10 minutes drive to Heathrow Airport * Large rooms * Big comfortable beds * Nice amenities including complimentary Tea & Coffee, Hairdryer & TV * 30 minutes free WiFi. Additional at £3 charge per day. Negative: * $7 charge for parking. If they feel the need to charge for the privilege of parking in their car park (there is nowhere else locally) then including it in the nightly charge would be preferred rather than a not so nice surprise when you arrive. Additional information: * Meal deal offered at £22 per person which includes a three course dinner with drink and an all you can eat breakfast. * Shuttle to the Airport available. We booked this hotel at short notice and were surprised at the size of the rooms here - they are a very decent size which being so close to the airport is usually quite hard to find. The rooms are also very clean and nicely laid out with a large computer desk and armchair. Bathroom is a little small but had a bath as well as a shower and a dispenser containing Imperial leather Shower Gel (no Shampoo & Conditioner though). Staff are friendly and it's reasonably priced, especially taking into consideration the location.

If I could, I would like to live here. The breakfast the next more was all perfect, none of the food was going funny from being out for a long time as the staff kept an eye on it. There was a huge variety that you could pick from so there was something for everyone.

The hotel is located about 10 minutes from the airport which makes it an ideal location to use if your in a similar situation. The hotel is clean and the staff were very helpful and friendly I found. The room was good size with seperate toilet and bathroom, coffee available and comfortable bed. The shower was large and powerful and just what you need to wake you up before a flight. I opted to have dinner here as well and the food was quite good. I had fish and chips, sweet potato soup and ice cream to finish. The soup came out after the main which was a bit weird but oh well right. The soup was average while the fish and chips were very good. Representing the way the british serve them. The ice cream for dessert was so basic anyone could have served it. Was straight from the packet without much effort. The breakfast buffet was large and offered a grest array of hot foods, pastries, fruits, cereals among other things. Plenty of selection and you definitely wouldn't leave asking for more food. Overall good hotel.

Our WIFI was better than any we had had in a public place in our 2 week vacation in England and Wales. The staff was accommodating and friendly. Parking is £10 a day, via a card just like the room key. We got them mixed up. Quick fix though. They provided two bottles of still and two bottles of fizzy mineral water, refrigerated in the Executive suite as well as a bath fizzy, a sugary body scrub, a body wash and a shampoo. Note though, they do not provide conditioner. Whatever we needed was only a phone call away. It was prompt service. They had a film and free popcorn for the kids as well as an Xbox in the lobby. The room also had a nice Bose Bluetooth speaker to play our own tunes! Great stay before the long journey back to the U.S. One thing I appreciated as well was the door that closed the toilet and door area from the sleeping area. It cut the noise.
