I took my stepmom out to dinner here. She had not been here in 4-5 years since my dad passed away. I had not been here in 7-8 years. The food was pretty good and the service provided was excellent. The waiter was a young man who was great, he checked in just enough. It was nice to see that the manager also checked on us to, I always appreciate that. My boyfriend and I ordered curbside pickup today... NEVER again will we be doing that. We got our food and all of it was lukewarm. The biscuits tasted like they were 2 days old. Red Lobster is a solid four stars. Good food quality, as always, and lots of great menu choices. I do have one issue.....the cost relative to the amount of food you get. It is actually kind of shameful that I spend $28 on an entree and leave hungry? I don't come here often, but I noticed a definite decrease in portion size (which I understand....but not when the prices correspondingly increase). Even the Caesar salad was noticeably smaller, and the lobster tail was so tiny it was barely two bites. I was really not a fan of this place. My daughter wanted to pick out a place to eat, and this is what she came up with. The biscuits are always great, and we ordered the deep fried calamari with vegetables. That is really good. Then we shared a Shrimp Alfredo dish that was also really good. My water glass had some white stuff smeared around the rim, and I had to have it replaced. That was a bummer. I like to think that all my dishes are clean, glasses included. What can I say, it's a chain restaurant. The menu is the same as any other Red Lobster, as are the prices and quality of food. It was a decent meal and the endless shrimp didn't disappoint. This place gets pretty busy on weekends, so make a reservation or expect a 20 minute wait for dinner seating. I'll eat here again, no complaints. read more

The Red Lobster in Bay City is by far the best one in the area. The Saginaw location lacks service, and usually doesn't seem to care about the customer experience. It is the total opposite in Bay City. Wonderful Staff. They are friendly and attentive, even when busy. Very happy with our service. My husband started out with a bad batch of expensive crab legs. The server Rich asked his manager Amanda to stop by the table. Amanda grabbed some gloves and checked out the shells in the crab legs and immediately went to the back to have a new order placed and then came back to tell us they were on the house. I'll cut right to the chase. Raw uncooked batter inside of our fried broccoli that was part of the calamari appetizer. Main course had two fried shrimp that were so under fried they were raw. Family event for my mothers 80th birthday on a Sunday afternoon , arrival at 530 . We were a table of six and were seated quickly . It became quickly apparent that the restaurant was on a false wait , and was too busy for staff on duty , ordered three consecutive items off current menu , all not available , ordered #4 and had server come back and tell me , it as well was not available . The sodas and biscuits were on point, the salads were fair and came seconds before our entrees. Now to fair warn everyone, do not get the 4 course feast here...ever...unless you are happy with a lunch entree at a dinner price! I myself ordered the Admirals Feast, and received 3 times the food for 2 bucks more than the supposed "feast" selections the rest of my family ordered...of special note, two things: 1) How do you grill a piece of Salmon to produce a flavorless piece of rubber? 2) How do you screw up chicken strips and mac-and-cheese to the point that an 8 year old child refuses to eat them? The answer to both of these things is simply to dine at this location! The desserts were mediocre at best, and one of the Lava cakes we received was still frozen!!! I never got a drink refill and asked twice, I put my empty glass at the end of the table to remind her, I finally had to take my empty glass to the bathroom and refill it with water, her excuse, at the end of the meal, " The Doctor Pepper machine exploded..Bull Crap, If it "Exploded" bring something else,cola, sprite, water even and don't charge me the full price that is suppose to include refills, And what happened to the cheep straw that came cracked in four different place and asked 2 time for a replacement and never got a replacement, same with the napkins that never came, or the extra shrimp sauce that never came..do they no longer train their service help?
