Fried Calamari with sweet and sour sauce

From the reviews, it sounds like this is relatively a new place, so we wanted to give it a try. We give it 4 stars as this is really one of the very few seafood boil places in the area, so we can't technically compare it to some place in the east coast where seafood (especially shellfish) is easily accessible. We came here on half off Margaritas Tuesday. The place is large and relatively empty. Our server is knowledgeable and helpful about the menu and drinks. For every pound of seafood boil, you get a corn and a potato. We got 5 lbs of seafood, and asked for only a couple of corn and potato so we don't waste the food. Our server informed us that the cooks don't speak English so they wouldn't understand what we're asking for, so we should just take the 5 corns and 5 potatoes that it comes with. Yes, we wasted the extra food... Pros: we were seated right away. The fried food is very crispy and tastes like it was freshly out of the fryer. The sweet and sour sauce goes surprisingly well with the fried calamari. Margarita was also very good. Opportunities for improvement for the restaurant: 1. For the extra corn and potatoes that we didn't need, it might just be as simple as a corn + potato per person with free refills 2. The clams are quite small. They're not little necks, they're more like button clams. Still delicious but little back clams would have been nicer 3. King crab legs are saltier than expected, so I'd recommend not cooking it in salted water. We would probably come back when we get another seafood kick.

Food was amazing with great portion sizes. My husband and I shared a boil bag. The Food was hot and fresh, we will definitely visit again!

Atmosphere fear is themed and really cool, waitress was extremely nice and the food was delicious! Created my own boil with snow crab and king crab and it was cooked perfectly. The only thing I'd change is the music, needs to be like waves-water-seagulls... neat and clean too!

The Tangy Crab recently opened in Saginaw. It is an interesting place. The food is exactly the way it sounds. You can either choose a boil or create your own boil. The boils will come out in a plastic bag. They have other items such as seafood po boys and appetizers. For the most part, the food was good. You should know, there is not surf and turf. It is Seafood and that is it. I think there may have been a chicken po boy. But there is no steak. Being it was a very new business our server did not know enough about the menu. Pretty much nothing. The waitress said she could not ask the cooks and questions as they do not speak English. Interesting, but whatever. They have a liquor license. However, the bartender was not versed in making drinks. One very important note to make. You absolutely can not send food back if you don't like it and get a refund. It is in plain English on the menu. The server will also remind you. So this is not a place to try something you may have never had. All in all it was a good experience. We will wait about six months and let them work the kinks out before going back.

The gumbo was amazing! My shrimp came out hot with the best sauces. Service was excellent. It felt very chill and relaxed inside.

I'm a little disappointed I suppose…read more After reading all the glowing reviews and looking over the menu I was sure I was going to have a delightful meal this evening. This restaurant is attached to what is clearly a dying mall, and that may be part of the issue they're having in terms of retaining staff and maintaining foot traffic. It is desperately hard to maintain a high quality standard in food when you simply don't have that many people coming in to eat. The staff I interacted with were generally friendly, but also quite busy and trying to keep up with the various tables. The seating options were a little uncomfortable, but serviceable overall. Everything appeared to be clean, although I noticed a bucket of dishes sitting out in the main dining room That was not being attended to. Given the volume of business they were having at the time this wasn't a huge deal. The food was a mixed bag. The chips were decent but a little greasy. My chicken was well prepared and had a delicious cheese sauce on it. The rice and beans were quite regrettable unfortunately. The beans were overcooked and too pasty, the rice had no real flavor to it. It really is a shame, I was looking forward to trying this place.

I was angry, I was like "no I'm not going in there, it's an abandoned restaurant in an abandoned…read moremall" I shouted in the midst of an argument with my wife who "wanted to try something new" Fortunately for me we had my mother in law with us who brought sense to the situation by just walking inside the Cazadores restaurant. This was some of the best Mexican food I've had, period.

It was pretty busy when we got there, but it was completely empty when we left. They ran out of silverware, so we had to wait a bit longer. The server didn't check on us much, didn't refill our drinks often while we waited, and was pretty scarce overall. The food was delicious. However, it would have been better if it had been served promptly, if silverware had been provided, if refills had been offered, and if the soup had been served warm.

We were seated quickly and we ordered our drinks. Quickly out came our warm fresh bread and whipped butter, yum. Then we asked for a blooming onion but we prefer ranch dressing to the typical dip they have, they said no problem and soon they presented us with our beautiful onion and ranch dip. These are a little on the greasy side. This one was a little strong as far as onion goes but, hey how can you really control that. Service was super great, constantly came asking if we needed anything else and wanting to top our water off. Highly recommend this outback. It was starting to get a little noisy from patrons in there at 5:00pm but I'm an old person with hearing in only one ear so EVERYTHING goes in.

I ended up going to Hooters on Cinco de Mayo while traveling for work. Originally, I wanted to find…read morea Spanish restaurant, but it didn't work out, so I ended up here instead. The NBA playoff games were on that night too, and unfortunately they didn't have access to the specific game I wanted to watch because it was on a different streaming package. As a sports fan, I'm not going to lie -- that hurt a little bit . For a sports-style restaurant, you always hope they've got every game available. But at the same time, I understand all those subscriptions add up. Even with that, I stayed and ordered the 10-piece garlic Parmesan wings along with a chicken quesadilla. The ranch was actually really good -- good enough that I ordered three extra ranch cups to take home with me. I didn't finish all my food there, but I stayed for the atmosphere and overall vibe before heading back out. The customer service was good, the restaurant wasn't overly packed, and overall I really don't have anything negative to say about the experience. I don't know how often I'd necessarily go out of my way to visit a Hooters these days, but for this visit, it was still a solid stop.
