We decided to give Red Lobster a 2nd chance. When we arrived, it was extremely crowded, so we decided to sit at the bar for dinner. It took Timothy 6 minutes to take our order & 30 minutes to receive our food and I have no complaints. Our server (Timothy) was fast, proficient, hard working and pleasant. He was the only bartender in the restaurant and the server/host for the bar area. Timothy handled himself like a professional running his own business. Timothy's work ethic spoke volumes. People were waiting ALL over the lobby. We were told the wait was over an hour; however, some people were told 30-mins; others 90-mins. Pick one! We waited 5 minutes for the hostess to appear at the podium. The lady in front of us had been waiting 10 minutes before we arrived. We went on Endless Shrimp night. It wasn't that busy but it still took forever for the food to get to us. They were only seating people on one side of the restaurant and the guests only filled one half of that side, yet the servers were constantly excusing themselves to guests. "Let me just ring these folks out and I'll be right back." "I didn't forget about you." We were there for 2.5 hours and our drinks were only refilled once and I was only asked once for more rounds of shrimp. The employees were out of breath but not moving quickly, and tables weren't getting cleared. Didn't see a manager the whole night. Our server was nice when we saw her, but the employees were either apathetic or only trying to focus on one table at a time. Our last time coming here. We had a similar experience the previous time, the only difference was the managers were the ones apologizing for the same issues. It would make more sense to drive further and have quicker service. Now in all honesty, I usually veer away from this particular location because I have not had the best experiences in the past however, this one left me with not one disappointment. And let me take a moment to shout out our waitress Kay because she made the experience great. She was very tentative and personable even to the point we had personal conversations which is always important in customer service. Shout out to you Kay, you did that! Everything from the biscuits and salad to the food was served fresh and flavorful. My daughter had a cheeseburger, which is not typical in this type of restaurant and they nailed it. The salad was very filling and all the ingredients were fresh. The feast has so many options and for $40 I just could not pass it up. However, rating is so low due to it taking an hour for my girlfriend to get her drink from the bar after ordering and OVER an hour to get our food. People came and went as we sat here. Waitress was very nice and apologetic but if you value your time and having a good experience, do not choose this location because you will be here way longer than you'd like. Music was very loud too and felt more like a club atmosphere than a restaurant. Won't return and wouldn't recommend it for anyone who wants a good dining experience. The new CEO breathed new life into this entire chain. Love their new menus, options, and the rebrand of employees is so refreshing. A lovely group of people serving at this location. What can I say you gotta love the cheddar biscuits. There is a reason Red Lobster has survived this long and is still a hometown stable. You can't go wrong with this place, and if you have the correct server and the food is hot, you can have a 5-star experience. I believe Red Lobster is everyone's introduction to fine dining. I have always loved the ambiance of the booths and wood that reminds you of being inside a boat and picking the lobster, even though I don't eat fish. On this particular day, my family was coming in after church, and we just so happened to run into a friend of the family working there. He immediately sat us and brought a hot tray of the famous cheddar biscuits. We then ordered our salads which also came out fast. Our waiter was excellent and very attentive. For the main course, I got the NY strip with a baked potato. The family got lobster tail, shrimp, salmon, and cheese dip. We enjoyed all of our food and genuinely had a good time. This is not to say everyone will have a great experience at Red Lobster. It varies on the location, the staff, and the wait time. I got the new asian bowl with salmon and it was not executed correctly according to the item description. I called the restaurant and spoke with manager Brittany. My meal was great hot fresh., all but the cheddar bay biscuits. The online ordering service was professional no issues. After coming in to pick up my meal, I asked for cocktail sauce because you need two cups for a dozen of shrimp. This Sunday we attempted to sample the new boils on the menu at the Bridgeton, Mo location. We never got to the point in our visit where anyone took our order. Arrived and checked in with hostess who seemed agitated that we approached-no greeting, no smile, actual scowl on her face. There were only three other customers in the waiting area, so it wasn't like we interrupted her while interacting with others. She said in a brusk manner that our wait would be forty minutes and asked for phone number. We went to the bar for a drink while waiting. Forty two minutes later, as we watched patrons who had arrived after us get seated, one of us went to inquire where we were on the waiting list. Again, this rude hostess snapped that there were more ahead of us. Five minutes later, we got the text that our table was ready. We approached the hostess stand. The same hostess walked past us without a word. We didn't know if we should follow her or not. We chose to follow her. She stopped at a table, threw menus on the table and huffed away without a word to us. We weren't sure whether or not this was our table. As no one else was near, we sat down and waited and waited and waited. When it was obvious that no one was going to acknowledge us, we chose to leave. We used to frequent this location and stopped some years ago for this sort (or worse) treatment. Regretfully we have decided to put this location back on our "Don't go there!" list. I was a hostess and server for a few years so I thought it was common sense to sit someone with an obvious handicap at a table. We were moved to 3 different tables and not once were we served. All 3 tables were dirty. We flagged down a few different servers and busboys and still had no service. We called out to a fourth waitress and she had a MAJOR attitude problem even though we had been in the restaurant for an hour and had not even a water. Pandemic or not, this place needs to shut down. Came in here for lunch today. The host said it would be a 1 hour wait but only 2 groups waiting. So I said I would just go to the bar, mind you it's people at the bar. The host said the bar is closed. I'm thinking since it's 4pm maybe they are going to close it. Nope. I step Right outside the door but can still see the host stand. A single man comes in asked to sit at the bar at the hosts not knowing I can see him tells the man ok and he goes over to the bar. Strike 1. Strike 2 it didn't take a hour to be seated so he lied.
