It had been a while since I'd eaten at Red Lobster. Given the service on Christmas Eve, it may be a while before I return. I understand it was Christmas Eve and they had a lot of large parties. The server kept coming by informing us of that fact. She finally told us that the kitchen was an hour behind. It would have been nice to know this prior to ordering or before being seated. The food was ok. My daughter was very displeased with the lack of flavor and pool of nothing but butter on her seafood boil. NEVER again will I pay that price point for that... What can I say? The experience that my daughter and I had was amazing! Now in all honesty, I usually veer away from this particular location because I have not had the best experiences in the past however, this one left me with not one disappointment. And let me take a moment to shout out our waitress Kay because she made the experience great. She was very tentative and personable even to the point we had personal conversations which is always important in customer service. Shout out to you Kay, you did that! Everything from the biscuits and salad to the food was served fresh and flavorful. My daughter had a cheeseburger, which is not typical in this type of restaurant and they nailed it. The salad was very filling and all the ingredients were fresh. The feast has so many options and for $40 I just could not pass it up. Everything that I could have wanted, it was on that feast and it did not disappoint. As far as the margarita, those are usually always good and this one was good as well. Came in around 730pm on the night before Valentine's Day. Empty tables, 5 minutes to be acknowledged by hostess. Rolls came out warm as well as the popcorn shrimp, and Caesar salad was good. However, rating is so low due to it taking an hour for my girlfriend to get her drink from the bar after ordering and OVER an hour to get our food. People came and went as we sat here. Waitress was very nice and apologetic but if you value your time and having a good experience, do not choose this location because you will be here way longer than you'd like. Music was very loud too and felt more like a club atmosphere than a restaurant. Won't return and wouldn't recommend it for anyone who wants a good dining experience. The new CEO breathed new life into this entire chain. Love their new menus, options, and the rebrand of employees is so refreshing. A lovely group of people serving at this location. I went with family for a meal and the staff were making jokes like a family member would, we were all laughing, and enjoying our day. Forgot we were even there for food. My sister and I went for an early dinner on Saturday. Our reservation was at 4:30 and we were seated right away. Our waiter was pretty good. It took 30 mins before we received our salads. We noticed the waiter apologizing to several tables that their food would be out shortly. It took way too long for our meals to be served. We were there for 2 hours. I thought about complaining to the manager but so many others already had. I know Red Lobster is in the process of revamping their menus and services, but it's still the same high prices with mediocre food and poor service. read more

What can I say you gotta love the cheddar biscuits. There is a reason Red Lobster has survived this long and is still a hometown stable. You can't go wrong with this place, and if you have the correct server and the food is hot, you can have a 5-star experience. I believe Red Lobster is everyone's introduction to fine dining. I have always loved the ambiance of the booths and wood that reminds you of being inside a boat and picking the lobster, even though I don't eat fish. On this particular day, my family was coming in after church, and we just so happened to run into a friend of the family working there. He immediately sat us and brought a hot tray of the famous cheddar biscuits. We then ordered our salads which also came out fast. Our waiter was excellent and very attentive. For the main course, I got the NY strip with a baked potato. The family got lobster tail, shrimp, salmon, and cheese dip. We enjoyed all of our food and genuinely had a good time. This is not to say everyone will have a great experience at Red Lobster. It varies on the location, the staff, and the wait time. I got the new asian bowl with salmon and it was not executed correctly according to the item description. I called the restaurant and spoke with manager Brittany. She was so incredibly nice and offered to make me another one. My husband went back next day and sure enough Brittany remembered my phone call and went above and beyond making the a meal for me. This Sunday we attempted to sample the new boils on the menu at the Bridgeton, Mo location. We never got to the point in our visit where anyone took our order. Arrived and checked in with hostess who seemed agitated that we approached-no greeting, no smile, actual scowl on her face. There were only three other customers in the waiting area, so it wasn't like we interrupted her while interacting with others. She said in a brusk manner that our wait would be forty minutes and asked for phone number. We went to the bar for a drink while waiting. Forty two minutes later, as we watched patrons who had arrived after us get seated, one of us went to inquire where we were on the waiting list. Again, this rude hostess snapped that there were more ahead of us. Five minutes later, we got the text that our table was ready. We approached the hostess stand. The same hostess walked past us without a word. We didn't know if we should follow her or not. We chose to follow her. She stopped at a table, threw menus on the table and huffed away without a word to us. We weren't sure whether or not this was our table. As no one else was near, we sat down and waited and waited and waited. When it was obvious that no one was going to acknowledge us, we chose to leave. We used to frequent this location and stopped some years ago for this sort (or worse) treatment. Regretfully we have decided to put this location back on our "Don't go there!" list. I ordered takeout at this location due to being near here for a work meeting. I ordered the Waltz Shrimp lunch meal, with mashed potatoes. My meal was great hot fresh., all but the cheddar bay biscuits. The online ordering service was professional no issues. After coming in to pick up my meal, I asked for cocktail sauce because you need two cups for a dozen of shrimp. We received absolutely zero service and a whole bunch of attitude. The hostess didn't want to be there. She had headphones in her ears while talking to us (not the headset but actual AirPods in her ear). She didn't even walk us to our table. She just sped walked ahead of me and my older/handicapped uncle. Also, she sat my handicapped uncle at a booth. I was a hostess and server for a few years so I thought it was common sense to sit someone with an obvious handicap at a table. We were moved to 3 different tables and not once were we served. All 3 tables were dirty. We flagged down a few different servers and busboys and still had no service. We called out to a fourth waitress and she had a MAJOR attitude problem even though we had been in the restaurant for an hour and had not even a water. Pandemic or not, this place needs to shut down. Came in here for lunch today. The host said it would be a 1 hour wait but only 2 groups waiting. So I said I would just go to the bar, mind you it's people at the bar. We ended up at Red Lobster in Bridgeton this evening after walking out of another restaurant down the road because they failed to wait on us after sitting at our table for quite some time. I guess things really do happen for a reason. When we got to Red Lobster, the manager was working at the hostess desk. She took our name and immediately asked, "You want a table, not a booth, correct?" I hadn't said that to her, but she knew because she has eyes and common sense. My husband is a big guy and can not sit at a booth. I can't tell you how many times it has been uncomfortable trying to ask for a table and not a booth at other restaurants. I appreciated that she knew to accommodate us without making us feel embarrassed or uncomfortable. We sat and waited for them to call us. They appeared to be short staffed (just like everywhere else these days), but the staff that was there was working hard and not complaining. We did not wait very long before we were seated. Within a minute of us sitting down, our waiter, Luis(spelling?) greeted us and told us he would be right back. He did, in fact, come back pretty quickly. We were ready to order, so we placed our drink and food order. Our food and drinks came in a normal amount of time, but the attitude of our server was what impressed me the most! He was obviously busy but stayed attentive to us and had a very pleasant attitude. He offered suggestions for food to us and to the other table he was serving nearby. I never have servers do that these days. It's like pulling teeth to get most servers to give you a list of soft drinks they serve! He continued to check on us and keep out drinks full. I was so happy we left the other restaurant and ended up here. The food was hot and fresh and delicious! I also overheard the server at the table next to us. His name was Herman, and he was just as pleasant and on top of things as Luis was! Good job, Red Lobster! We will return soon and recommend this location to friends!!
