I won a shuffleboard tournament with a friend and we each received a gift card to Red Lobster as our prize. My wife and I went there expecting to have a nice dinner. But I think we must have entered "The Twilight Zone." Our waitress Kristyn seated us and took our order. Then she brought us two glasses of water as per our request. So far, so good. After that the wheels came off the cart. We decided to split the "Ultimate Feast" which had shrimp scampi, fried shrimp, crab legs, a lobster tail, rice, and we selected broccoli as our side dish. Kristyn brought out our salads but no silverware. I waited a couple of minutes before I got up and approached her to request the silverware. She said, "Ok" but there was no apology for forgetting to give us utensils to eat our meal when she brought the first part of it. We have always enjoyed the warm cheesy biscuits at Red Lobster. Not tonight. They were cold. Also, we remember eating at Red Lobster and having someone come around with fresh out of the oven biscuits. Didn't happen. Before I get into a critique of the platter of food, I have to mention the tiny plates Kristyn brought us. We were sharing a fairly large platter of food, and she brought us dinner roll plates instead of full sized plates. I was too shocked to say anything. Now about the food. The fried shrimp was partially burnt. The shrimp scampi was tasteless. The crab was boiled to death and mushy. The rice was also tasteless and cold. Actually, everything we ate was cold. The broccoli, like the crab was over cooked and mushy. The only item that was properly cooked (but cold) was the lobster tail. My wife remarked that the frozen lobster tails we get at Aldi were just as good if not better. We went early for dinner. It was 4:30 PM and we hoped that by going that early the restaurant would be relatively quiet. But we forgot the little known law that states, "Every restaurant must have at least one screaming child per meal. In the case of a lack of screaming child a coughing and sneezing old person may be substituted." In our case, we had the screaming child. Sadly, we will not be returning to any Red Lobster restaurants. This did it for us. The only saving grace was that 3/4's of the cost of the meal was covered by the gift card I won. Just read on the internet yesterday that Red Lobster locations were in trouble! Since my wife and I love seafood we decided to go to their Bridgeton Missouri location hoping this story was not true or at least not for this location although they have never been good on service here. We arrived at approximately 5:30pm on a Wednesday figuring they would not be that busy. And they were not. We waiting at the hostess desk with no one there and with no one coming out to seat us! I finally went over to the bar and the bartender stated that he was sure someone would be with us shortly.....They were not.....We asked an employee (passing by us) if we could just sit in the bar area thinking this might get us waiting on. This lady went over to the bartender and asked him if we could sit at a booth in the bar. We could tell he was not thrilled with the idea but advised the employee to seat us. After 10 minutes he finally brough us over biscuits and a menu at the same time and sad he would be back shortly. He never returned which puzzled me as he worked in the bar and could easily see us waiting. No water was yet served to us at this point. My wife who is about the most patient person I know said let's give them 10 minutes and if no one comes over to us by then we would then leave........No one came. I left $5.00 on the table for the biscuits and we left and went to Olive Garden down the street. While I have been a Red Lobster fan for years I can certainly see why this chain is in big trouble! read more

I was very disappointed in Red Lobster service located on St Charles Rock Rd in Bridgeton MO. My husband & I went there for dinner with Izzy as our server. she first told me I couldn't order another side dish. I confirm that it was ok to order with $3.99 charge. I order broccoli along with my baked potato that came with my order. The broc was wet & soggy with some type of juice in it and very salty. it made me sick to my stomach & throw up. Wow. Probably the most inefficient restaurant experience I've ever had. It's five PM on a Saturday with several parties already waiting (should have been a red flag, but I'm from out of town so I overlooked this oddity). We get a buzzer and over the 30 minute wait watch maybe one or two tables leave the dining room. The lobby fills up. Now, it seems that there was a staffing issue this evening and they were short on servers. I get it. More than 50% of their tables were unseated. However, the remaining staff were unable to manage or compensate for the issues that arose. Our party got missed. We had two small children with us who, fortunately for everyone around, kept their cool and were amazing over the 2+ hour ordeal that was our dining experience. However, once the seating issue was being addressed, it took several missteps to actually get us a table. Snappy employees, communication issues, and clear disorganization finally resolved and resulted in a table. The manager was quite apologetic, but that was the extent of it. The adults in our group all bailed on the meals we intended to get (which would have amounted to a much larger bill) because everything just felt tense and our kids were losing their shit. One in our group was talked into the endless shrimp yet never offered any extra servings. Apologies are fine for minor inconveniences (and everyone there that night was inconvenienced). However, when those minor inconveniences also involve additional oversights and snappy interactions in front of customers, you do something a bit more than just apologize to make it right. I'm not even implying a discount/comp -- even just getting some sort of food out ASAP for the kids would have been a nice acknowledgement of the delay. And Red Lobster as a Corp really needs to stop serving Kraft Mac and Cheese. Really. You serve $25-$35 seafood entrees...buy some elbows and decent cheese. Plenty of other places manage to do it in the same price point. read more

Let me tell you about this Red Lobster... they do a great job! I ordered the lobster Maine with steak- this option gives you a choice of the filet mignon or Strip. I went with the strip . This meal comes with a salad. I ordered the caesar... and Mojitos. My steak (medium...slightly more to the medium rare) was cooked perfectly! Very juicy. My lobster tail was delicious. The Caesar was very good as well. This meal will run you about $40, not including the mojitos. The only reason this review receives 4 instead of 5 stars is due to my drinks, and the server. The drink wasn't terrible, but for the price they really skimped on the additives, which of course impacts taste. I love mojitos, and was disappointed by the scattered pieces of the single leaf of mint inside. I do not have the serve name for this review... however... a tall, tanned complexioned gentleman. My server responded and served, but was very standoffish and slightly abrupt in general. I observed him at other tables, this was his approach for all guests . I am so disappointed and a bit angry. I used door dash for a delivery to an airport hotel. Door Dash was amazing!! My order was shrimp, baked potato with sour cream and butter. Took my mom hear 12/10/21 surprised her with her 4 granddaughters. They were empty said they couldn't serve us because it was 7pm us unless one of us sat a a different table. Also told us they only had one server. I was shocked they turned business down when they were completely empty. The suggested we go to a larger location and advise it was their Covid rule. I don't really care for this location but hadn't been there in a while so I was hoping today would have renewed my spirit and unfortunately it did not. There was no wait but upon seating and getting our drink order I asked for some biscuits and the waitress said she would bring them out with the salad. Now I don't know if that's a new rule but I've never heard that one before. Then I wanted to get the sailor's platter and it comes with flounder but why they can't sub that out for tilapia which is not an expensive fish i don't know. When I received my fish it was small and did not have a flavor and my shrimp was soaked in the grease of the plate and missing some tails. I ended up getting it exchanged for some fired flounder and an extra 2 shrimps but the flounder was still tasteless. The waitress had a very stale attitude and then got mad that we had to put our dishes on another table because she never came back to clean them off. This place has gone really downhill with the pandemic. They only seat 5 tables at a time with at least 2 waiters/waitresses who spend most of their time in the kitchen. I see a lot of people coming and going from the kitchen, but it was about 40 minutes to seat us when they estimated 20. We were ready to order when were seated, but it was another 12 minutes to get our water and soda, salad, and biscuits. We didn't even have a waitress for a while after being seated. BOTH of our salads came with hair in it. Since the first salad took 12 minutes to make, and the next one came quickly, they probably just removed the hair and shuffled it around. One of us wanted to do the unlimited shrimp then after ordering realized what a terrible idea that was because we'll never get service to continue getting them. After the first pair of shrimp, my partner started feeling bad (unrelated to the food), and I asked to get his second pair to go, which they obliged since the endless shrimp comes with 4 shrimp if you order it to go. She brought the bill, but it wasn't put on the table kiosk thing, so we couldn't pay with a card without her coming back, which it seems she had no intention of doing. We went to the front to see if we could pay there; of course not. The hostess went to the kitchen to get the waitress, and she came out, but the waitress took another 10+ minutes to come back out. It shouldn't be this difficult to pay them. Then it took longer, because I had a coupon (the reason we came) in my email, and she didn't know how to apply it. We were there about 1 hour 50 minutes in total when it should have been an hour at most; we spent probably 70+ minutes waiting. I should note we went arrived at 3:50PM, not exactly a busy hour. This is the third time we've had an experience like this--every time we've been in 2021-2022, so if we want Red Lobster, we'll order it to go. They don't have their fresh fish menu anymore either. Unless the waitresses are doubling as cooks/prep people, which might be the case (and I'd be more sympathetic if they said so), they are just goofing off in the kitchen all the time while a dozen people wait to be seated and another dozen wait to be served. Everyone who works there acts like it's the worst thing in the world to be there, so it's a pretty uninviting place. I've come to Red Lobster for my birthday for years, apart from 2020, but I guess I'll be finding a new place, because this one seems on the verge of closing, it's so bad. On the bright side I did get a single soda refill--without asking I think, she gave enough biscuits up front that we didn't need that refilled, and my fish covered in lobster bits was good. read more

I am here to dispute the negative reviews of this red lobster! I liked my food ordered flounder and shrimp. Delicious! and the amazing cheddar biscuits of course! Our server seemed new but he was trying hard and I appreciated that. He let me order the lunch price at dinner time! Nice! The only complaint is that they seem to seat people in the small bar area booths and there's plenty of seating in the main restaurant? I have not been to red lobster in a hot minute. I went with friends and it was just 3 of us. They sat us down and the waitress came over to greet us and get our drinks. She then took a while to come back but when she did she got our order. Now we went around lunch and it was not busy at all. We ordered and she left. It took a while for us to get our drinks and even longer for the food. I ordered the dragon broccoli and a meal with it. She waited to bring out all of our meals and my broccoli was warm and soggy. Thankfully she did get another one made and it was out fast. The food was good but the service took forever for the food and getting our check. As I was standing near the bar waiting for someone to great me there was a HORRIBLE smell that caught my attention. Because of the smell I did not pick up my order and called and cancelled. We had a very nice server, but very slow service. My food was delicious: salmon, broccoli, and a side salad. My sister got some butterfly shrimp I think. It was a soggy mess of breading. Not crispy at all. She also got mashed potatoes that were cold. My mom got a shrimp pasta dish that wasn't too bad, but she got a side of coleslaw that was very sweet and gross. We left after waiting 90 minutes and being told our wait would be another 45 at least. The manager was rude to us when we inquired why do they take reservations through Open Table if they weren't going to honor them. The manager said they never honored reservations. A few missteps: - They tried to seat four grown men at a booth in the bar when there was nobody else sitting in the bar. Thanks but we prefer a table. - There was a wait but the place was less than 1/3 full. Everyone's order seemed to come out at the right temperature and I didn't hear any complaints about the food. Drinks were kept full. My stuffed fish was decent but not great. All in all, a chain restaurant for a mid-week lunch and our expectations were met...with the exception of the missteps upon arrival. Went here early on a Friday night because we had a gift card. They were busy so we had a 30 min wait, which we spent at the bar. Finally seated and service was very slow. Our server didn't come over for 15 min, although we did get drinks from a busboy. When she finally came over we were rushed through our order and weren't told any specials they might have had. Ordered mussels for an app, and when they were brought out we had to sit there and look at them for another few minutes since we were never brought utensils, plates, or even those awesome cheddar biscuits. Our server seemed to be doing a good job of avoiding us, so we had to flag down someone else to get them for us. Main course comes out, never got the salad I ordered so had to ask for that. I ordered the steak and shrimp. Asked for medium rare, got well done. Still tasty though. My boyfriend got the bar harbor lobster bake. No complaints there... Lots of seafood, three small lobster tails all over pasta. I won't get into every detail of the terrible service, let's just say it was almost comical at the end of the night how bad it got. The food was the only redeeming factor though. Pretty good for a national chain seafood restaurant. Definitely recommend the bar harbor lobster bake. read more
