1/2 snow crab 1/2 shrimp combo
    Kisha F.

This is probably one of my favorite places to get a seafood boil based on the sauce. I ordered the 1/2 snow crab 1/2 shrimp combo. It includes 1 snow crab claw, 1/2 lb deveined and headless shrimp, 3 sausages, 1 corn on the cob, and 1 potato. I got it mild and Kickin' style, which is a combination of their sauces. You get a lot of sauce and it's very flavorful. The mild is just enough spice for me. It's also very reasonably priced, staff is friendly, and service is fast. Highly recommend.

The best Cajun restaurant I have tried outside of Louisiana! I didn't expect it to be this delicious when we came, but the flavor was the freshness was perfect. They provided gloves and apron to put over your clothes, but my gloves broke half way through the meal. Maybe get an extra pair in advance. Besides the tasty food, our order took much longer than other customers who arrived later than us. It was quite busy during that time, but the wait was about 30 minutes for us to get the seafood.

I love coming here when I'm craving a seafood boil. I think for St. Louis, this is the best that we're going to get. I love that they line the tables with paper, they also give you bibs and gloves to eat with. The service was fairly quick, but it was hard for them to hear us at times, so we got some of our requests wrong (the room was loud on a Friday night). The prices are alright, but it definitely beats cooking it and cleaning at home. I love getting the snow crab legs, crawfish, and mussels. For seasoning, I get the medium with the kickin style seasoning.

The seafood restaurant was open on Thanksgiving, bless their hearts. My family of 4 and another table were the only ones in the restaurant. Very clean and a lot of tables with plenty of space. The people that work here are so friendly and love children. We felt like we were home. The food: My husband and I ordered Cajun Mild with extra crab legs. This was by far the best seafood bag I've ever eaten. We live in Hawaii where we are surrounded by ocean, and the crab legs at Kickin Crab were way bigger and meaty. The seasoning was delicious. Couldn't get enough of it. We had potatoes, corn, sausage and shrimp (with head) along with our crab legs. Truly and great place to visit if you are in town. Our daughters had chicken with fries. Huge fan of the fresh, crispy fries. Good size portion of the chicken tenders too. Thank you for the great customer service.

3lb snow crab. Includes potato + corn + sausage. Easily feeds 3 people

Decor is not fancy but the snow crab is the bomb $30 for 1 lb of snow crab + corn + potatos + a choice of boil flavors with varied levels of spicy-ness + Free garlic bread? Yeah - I'm a fan. Or $72 for 3lbs of snow crab to share between 3 people is economical enough to do regularly. The Old Bay garlic sauce, mild heat must have crack in it because I crave it once a week. My only criticism is the state of the bathroom....Guys - it needs a clean. Other than that, the snow crab is worth the trip

ive been coming here muitple times and always recommend to freinds. But Is this what will you get while telling them the shrimps headon the last few time was too soft n not really fresh? Looklike my food wasnt wash tho

We walked in with a couple of friends for a late dinner. It wasn't really busy so we got seated right away. We got a dozen of raw oysters, coconut sea snails, sweet potato fries and combo #3 Kickin style( snow crab legs, clams, shrimp head on and crawfish). I wasn't a fan of their oysters. Shrimp was pretty dry from overcooked. My friend got herself a bag of shrimp head off and it was much juicier and more firm than the shrimp in our combo. Service was good.

The location has a parking lot so easy access, the crab legs special was delicious! So nice and flavorful! Had a dozen oysters and those were a decent size. Reasonable pricing! The restaurant is very causal and has a beach vibe to it. Service was pretty good as well. Would be back again!

5 stars! And I'm not even a huge fan of seafood. The Kickin Crab is a Californian seafood restaurant that is opening a few locations around the country. You order clams, crawfish, shrimps, crabs, lobsters, etc. You order your seafood boil by the pound and it's served in a bag. You order whatever you seasoning you want and the level of heat. You can also choose to make it into a combo and choose from corn, potatoes or sausages with your bagged seafood. I ordered gumbo and a half of pounds of shrimps in a mildly hot Cajun seasoning. All I can say is... delicious! Very hands on experience--messy and fun.

My filet au poivre and my husband's French dip were forgettable at best. My steak was overcooked (ordered medium rare and came out close to medium well). With such a lean cut of meat, the overcooking of it ruined it. The Au poivre sauce which likely had cognac needed to be cooked off as it was extremely bitey (and salty). There was no peppery flavor at all. My cocktail, on the other hand, was delicious and well made (old fashioned) and our server was efficient, helpful, and timely. Overall I enjoyed the atmosphere. I've had the crab cake before so I didn't get it this time, and it's as good as people say. It is huge and can be shared with at LEAST two people. I'd likely visit again but I'll probably stay away from these two entrees next time.

We were just in time to order a calamari happy hour appetizer. it was hot can cooked perfectly. I then moved on to the halibut and orzo - it was exactly what I was looking for! The cookies arrive hot and gooey to the table - yum. The only 2 drawbacks I will mention...it seemed very loud and we were sitting under one of the arches so we were trying to determine was the restaurant really that loud or were we getting conversations from other areas because of the arches? The other item I will mention is the website does not seem to be up to date with the latest selection - or maybe it needs to be broken out into Lunch and Dinner menus...a person in our party looked at the menu online and when he went to order, he wanted one of the sandwiches shown online (which was not identified as lunch only) and he was not able to order the sandwich. General observation: I would guestimate 90% of the seating is booth seating...it just seemed high and just an observation - not good, not bad.

Nothing divey about a hip cocktail or hip deviled eggs -- these are sophisticated modern twists, the exact move wine bars make and dives don't. A chalkboard of specials and weathered seating gesture at the aesthetic; the rest of the room knows. Kendall Roy of restaurants -- comes from privilege, wants badly to be of the people. It's a bit, and mostly the kitchen and bar back it up. Nevertheless, we arrived to a full room, hour wait for a table, but we fortunately arrived to snag the last first come patio table. The bar was also full, by the way, which felt neighborhood like, people clearly like this place during happy hour. The old fashioned makes the case: Old Grand-Dad Bonded, pickled rye, cognac, butterscotch bitters. Two whiskeys and a bitter you won't find at an actual dive. Rich, a little sweet. The harissa deviled eggs keep going -- fried shallots, roasted red peppers, cilantro, marinated tomato jam. You know, just like the old dive with the $1 PBR.Deviled eggs for people that don't like deviled eggs. However, we love deviled eggs...foreshadowing. The short ribs are the headline -- fall-apart tender over whipped potatoes substantial enough to stand up to the meat, gravy spot on. Eats like a perfectly executed roast dinner. The brie burger is the sneaky second hit, genuinely decadent, bacon with the cheese melting into the beef. The service was good and pleasant and that felt more like dive-friendly, where you might expect a wine "bar" to be snooty or full of themselves. 4.4 Stars Picking Nits: hip deviled eggs that reach past what they can hold. Tomato jelly on top is a lot going on, in the wrong way, and the egg disappears under it. These are trying to be hip deviled eggs more than they're trying to be good deviled eggs. Every ambitious kitchen has one plate that tries too hard; this appears to be one. A 5 needs those eggs landing, in the same way the entrees excelled. Regardless, we'll be back.

We started with the Korean fried cauliflower and it was honestly some of the best I've ever had. The batter was light, fluffy, and crispy, and the gochujang sauce with the mayo was sweet and sticky in the best way. Since it's a butchery, we had to try the steaks. I ordered the 4oz filet Oscar style. The meat was tender and very well seasoned, the crab was fresh, and the homemade hollandaise really pulled it all together. My husband had the ribeye. It was a flavorful cut, a little fatty (as ribeye tends to be), but exactly what you'd expect from that cut. The steaks come with a twice-baked potato and vegetable (or you can swap for different vegetables). The potato was flavorful but fairly dense. We also did the bread service - it was good, but felt a bit pricey for the portion. We ended with the flourless chocolate torte, which was very rich and the perfect way to finish the meal - especially on Valentine's Day. Overall, the food was good and the menu is solid. The quality was there, but the portions, bread service and sides didn't fully meet expectations. That said, it was still a lovely experience and a great date-night spot.
