Caesar Salad and Cheddar Bay Biscuits

Came in on Saturday with my son for lunch. Our server Ameara was very attentive. I like that this location is very spacious. We ordered the Create Your Own Ultimate Feast. This is a sharable meal. The salmon and steak was seasoned very well. The garlic shrimp scampi and grilled shrimp were delicious. You get two sides with this meal. This meal was delicious. My Caesar salad was delicious and of course their warm cheddar bay biscuits are always delicious.

I've visited this Red Lobster on plenty occasions, And i always have missed reviews. This visit wasn't all the way bad but it wasn't the best. I'm not sure if they were busy... but there was four of us, and one of the entrees came out late, so she took the food to go. Well, it came out later than everything else, which was also late. We had to continuously ask for different things. The waiter was very pleasant, he was new and did very well. We took our food to go for the most part and it was all very good.

Got take out and don't even have the energy anymore to report you in silence. Your works think because it's take out they can miss giving things in the order. Please note I did not get my order and because I'm hungry and can't be bothered just know service wasn't cool. 11.39 for 5 shrimp ? And you didn't send the biscuits. 10.79. ? Times are hard and your works don't need a job. Next time check the order before sending it out to customers. Don't reach out.

The food was amazing. Went to red lobster to see what the new menu is about. It was cool. The hostess needed an attitude adjustment but that's okay maybe her attitude adjusted during the day. The service was great. Great lunch crowd notToo Much loud talking ordered two seafood boils pastas and some shrimps all came up to 153.00 plus three drinks. I'll be back eventually.. not anytime soon. Happy eating Brooklyn

Our waitress Melissa was on point. She checked in on us often enough. For a chain restaurant this place was better than I remember. The last time we went to Red Lobster thy automatically gave you a salad with your entree, not anymore, that costs you the customer more if you want salad. Hubby got the Maine and Rock Lobster tails, both were cooked perfectly I got the trio of shrimp, lobster tail and salmon all the proteins were cooked perfectly. The only disappointment was the water logged broccoli. Their biscuits slam as always.

Decided to try out one of the newer featured items on the menu. Not the boil but new sauce for crab legs. I'll start by saying the sauce was excellent. I had old bay and parmesan. Im more disappointed in the portion. If I'm paying $42 id assume id get at least 1lb of crab legs and maybe because i got the meatier legs it only came with one unsure but i was disappointed for the price. And one leg was missing upon arrival but I digress. I think competitively they should relook at their prices for the portion because they could knock off $5. Im still intrigued to try a boil but again $50?! Idk maybe thats what they need to charge. Just my thoughts as i said the sauce i had was good but i just expected a bigger portion.

I came back to this red lobster a couple days ago and the experience wasn't bad. The waitress we had was extremely nice and checked on us often. It was super busy that day but we were still able to walk in. The crab dip was really good but the shrimp and lobster linguine I got was decent. The shrimp was good but the lobster was really dry compared to other red lobsters I been too. Overall decent experience.

Great location. Red lobster is a stable. I came in because it was a Tuesday and they had a special on snow crabs. It was delicious. Only issue is they don't take samsung/google pay. I no longer carry my credit card but I did have cash. It's 2025, time to update the payment process.

Amazing food and service! Everything was so good, from the biscuits, to the grilled shrimp, orzo rice, and broccoli! The brownie cake dessert was amazing too! Our waiter Andrew provided exceptional service! Highly recommend this place to others!

First up ... I always love Red Lobster! The biscuits are always so delicious. There's a current special on Tuesdays for crab legs! Soooo good, it's a cajun rub which is a bit spicy but very flavorful. It's served with potatoes and you can add on whatever side you like. It was very enjoyable and all for $25! The service was descent, didn't wait too long for a table. The waiter was prompt and very helpful. I would definitely go back !

It's red lobster so what do I expect right? Garlic shrimp scampi, coconut shrimp, biscuits and service were the only good things here. Our waiter and waitress (who was training) did a lovely job. There was a piece of plastic in our lobster and spinach dip and the managers apology wasn't even sincere. My dad's broccoli was over good-- mush, basically baby food.

Haven't eaten at red lobster in years. Stopped in today for a brunch date, the hostess was very pleasant and sweet. Was sat doen right away, the waiter came right also. Wish I could remember his name, he was extremely pleasant and attentive. Food came out pretty quickly, tried the seafood stuffed mushrooms. Forgot to take a photo, I wasn't impressed by the flavor. Ordered the pick 3 shrimp choices for $22. Chose the shrimp linguine, shrimp scampi with scallops and crispy dragonfly shrimp, comes with a spicy sweet chili sauce for dipping. I'm a big linguine fan, it was creamy and i enjoyed it. The shrimp and scallops were buttery and tasty, I wasn't crazy about the crispy shrimp. They were nice and crunchy but oily and the sauce was a little too spicy for my liking. My partner had the soy salmon bowl, he gave it a 6.5 out of 10. As always their unlimited biscuits are 10 out of 10. Food is very salty and high in calories, so this isn't food I'd eat often. Overall, all seemed cleaned. The bathroom was nice and clean and we enjoyed ourselves. It's in gateway center, so you can do a little shopping before or after.

Going to Red Lobster, you pretty much know what you're gonna get period it's a family style chain, so you already know.... biscuits, salad,a side, and entree. I went for the unlimited shrimp and had a pretty good time seated at the bar. The staff was quite entertaining and friendly. The standouts were the grilled shrimp skewers and the shrimp alfredo pasta . The Walt's fried shrimp used to be my favorite. But they were quite underwhelming. Not crunchy at all. The rice was awful, I swear it's for decoration. It isn't the best or the worst. Still I had a good time.

I arrived in 2008 with very little, and when Graydon Carter revived the restaurant in 2009, I was beginning a rise of my own, first at a large global bank and then, to my astonishment, at one of the city's most powerful investment firms. The suits were daily, the walls were gold, and the pressure was so consuming that even success could feel like a form of attrition. After a few years, I moved to a smaller firm with Southern roots, where the culture was more humane, the work gave me greater autonomy, and I produced some of the strongest results of my career, even within an industry still governed by fear, greed, and status. Inside, the red booths, low lighting, generous spacing, and hand-painted monkey murals made lunch feel ceremonial without becoming stiff. The room was timeless and handsome, with polished service, quality food, and the subtle assurance of a place where you could be proud to bring someone important. I especially remember sitting in one of those booths with two mentors, each only a few years older than I was and therefore close enough in vintage to feel relatable, trustworthy, and genuinely within reach. One had entered my life after I left the larger firm and helped me understand an earlier chapter that had also ended abruptly and, at the time, felt deeply unfair; the other had guided me through the smaller firm where I finally found a more sustainable way to work. Over that long lunch, I introduced them, we discussed several promising ideas, and for a moment my career seemed to have reached the point where relationships, experience, and opportunity were finally converging. One of those ideas consumed an extraordinary amount of my time and energy, and I believed it might become the foundation of my next chapter. Instead, the arrangement eventually turned on me, the role I thought I had earned never materialized, and the business itself sputtered. My professional life, financial footing, and pride all collapsed just as COVID was beginning. Then Monkey Bar closed in 2020, which made the ending feel almost unnervingly complete: the restaurant, the city, and the version of myself built around New York finance all went dark at once. For years, I experienced that ending as devastating and unfair; now I can see it as wisdom delivered through an unnecessarily rough process. The restaurant's later revival by a Chicago hospitality group feels fitting because it still honors tradition and ceremony while allowing the old forms to evolve into something healthier, looser, and more current. I have not been back since that lunch, but a return now would feel like visiting the museum of my past, not reclaiming a life that asked too much, gave too little, and finally lost its hold on me. Even now, I remember Monkey Bar as a great Midtown lunch in a memorable room, surrounded by the residue of old ambitions and the gratitude of having survived them. The cocktails were sharp, the service was impeccable, and the dining room carried that glamorous old New York energy without feeling trapped by it. I remain deeply fond of the place, partly for what it was and partly for what it witnessed. Some restaurants become attached to a chapter of your life, and Monkey Bar holds mine with unusual grace.

It featured a crispy, sugar-glazed exterior and a soft, chewy interior, topped with truffle cheese and served with a truffle butter dip; the pairing was superb, and it tasted great both on its own and with the dip. For the main course, I ordered the miso-glazed black cod. The flavor was flawless, and while the portion was small (which was acceptable), the pool of broth accompanying it was completely unnecessary; it was inedibly salty, so what was the point of serving it? After finishing the fish, I was left with a plate full of broth, rendering the plate unusable. Plus, it was overpriced; for this dish, you're better off going to Strip House Strip House remains the undisputed king of this dish in New York. A friend ordered the chicken parmesan. It was just average. Another friend ordered the short rib stroganoff. The flavor was decent, but it was far too rich and heavy. As someone whose palate is split 50/50 between Western and Chinese cuisine, I could manage only five bites at most. If you have a palate that prefers 100% Chinese food, proceed with caution on this dish. Friends ordered sides of mac & cheese and mashed potatoes. These are dishes originally meant for low-income Americans to fill up on cheaply; there's no limit to how good they can be, but also no floor to how bad they can get. Both were on par with the average quality found in upscale restaurants. Honestly, these are two dishes I would never order myself. To sum up: the atmosphere was great. It's also hard to get a reservation; the place was packed when we had lunch at 2 PM. Aside from that monkey bread, I didn't feel like anything else justified the price or offered something you couldn't find elsewhere. I don't quite get the hype. Perhaps I just didn't order the right dishes; maybe next time I'll try the burger and the steak.
