Today at Red Lobster my experience was HORRIBLE, DISGUSTING, DISRESPECTFUL and indefinitely down right wrong. The waiter took MORE than enough time just taking my order and when he did it took OVER 40 minutes for my food to come, just for it to be DROPPED on the floor, the idiot waiter dropped my food and watched it and instead of picking it up, HE LEFT IT THERE just waiting for someone else to pick it up. This establishment needs proper training and leadership when it comes to time management and just learning how to not fall with food in your hand. On this most recent visit to red lobster (March 2018), Service not the best. No water and biscuits came out late and you know people love dem cheddar biscuits! We were seated near the to go section and there was a draft. I have been at establishments who are mindful of this and you can see they put engineering controls in place to mitigate so no excuses for Red Lobster. Apparently we had a new server but no one taught him about customer service (believe his name was Eric). Now onto the rest of the experience, ordered appetizers that didn't come out in orderly time. First time eating at red lobster. The restaurant was packed and we waited for about 30 mins or so. Our waiter Brianna was very sweet and we got all of our order in a timely manner. I feel that when your eating seafood, it should not be mixed with fruity alcoholic beverages, because it was definitely not settling well. The biscuits were soft, buttery and melted in your mouth instantly. The Parrot Isle Jumbo Coconut Shrimp were good and dipped in signature piña colada sauce made this dish delicious. I visited this establishment this past Thursday the 16th , i was with a party of of 12, the manager on duty was exceptional!!!! He was assertive and he gave us a time and sat us sooner , mo other resturant in gateway wanted to sit us . Unfortunately i wasn't about to get his name but he was GREAT ! .. the food took an extended amount of time which is understandable due to short staff and Covid .. After a few hours of shopping, starving like a hungry kid, we decided to eat at a restaurant nearby. We went to Red Lobster and the line was completely insane, so was the line at the other restaurant. The line was so long that you had to put your name down and they gave you a buzzer. Luckily, we bumped into someone very nice who gave us their buzzer and name and we got seated in a very short time. Me and my baby had the: Bar Harbor Lobster Bake A roasted split Maine lobster tail, tender shrimp, sea scallops, mussels and linguini in a garlic and white wine broth. This was delicious, the seafood was fresh and the portions are pretty big. My girl had the: Spicy Habanero Coconut Shrimp Bites and Sweet Citrus-Grilled Shrimp, this is a special which included soup, salad, entree and dessert for all less than $20, what a deal. I tried calling the store 5 times and each time someone picked up the phone and then hung up immediately. I've also called door dash because they were the ones that delivered the order.... door dash stated that they would have the items redelivered and then an hour after door dash cancelled the redelivery. I proceeded to call door dash and was told I needed to call red lobster... I called red lobster several times between 8:28pm and 8:45pm and each time they hung up on me. This is truly one of the worst experiences I've had with red lobster. When you order your food they give you a time to come pick up. Our time was 804. When we got there there was a long line outside and the gentleman at the door informed us that this line was for pick up. We waited outside for approximately 30 minutes just to come in and wait another 20 minutes until somebody actually found the food. They are extremely busy and I have to say that the employees were very kind, but I think that they may need more people working at once. Not sure how long our order was sitting around in a bag because everything was cold and soggy. Maybe some other locations are better for "to go" but I wouldn't do that again. read more

Mind you, the empty tables were still dirty while we were eating our entrees! I asked her for tartar sauce for my shrimp and she never returned. About 20 min passed and i was done so asked for everything to go including my tartar sauce since i couldn't eat my shrimp without it. My bfs meal came with a dessert. I confirmed this with Keisha, and ordered the chocolate cake. Then told her we wanted to place to go orders. Keisha disappears again. At this point we have been here for 2.5 hours and just want to go! She comes back with the dessert in a to go box without the ice cream! Never asked for my dessert as take out. She forgets our to go biscuits again. Cool. We look on the device for our bill and i see we are charged for our dessert. When She appears again i ask her about it and she seems confused. I told her we confirmed with you that his entree comes with a dessert, she says yes it comes with a small brownie. Well why didn't you say that when i asked you before? I explain to her that we wouldn't have ordered knowing that. She says she will get the manager....at this point we don't even want to order anything to go anymore, we just want to get out of thwre She returns...with no manager??? She comes to the table and says...ok what's going on now?!?! I'm so annoyed i just ask for the manager. When the manager comes to the section I'm sure he is flabbergasted by how messy it is because he starts bussing tables! Then he walks over to talk to the wrong table. When he realizes it is me, he asks what happened. I honestly don't even think he heard what i said, he just offered to take the cake off the bill. I accept that and pay using the device, left her a tip despite my bfs saying i shouldn't. While walking out with our 4 to go containers sans bag or biscuits, Keisha appears and ask...did you guys pay?! Lmfaooooo Keisha if we wanted to dine and dash please know we had ample opportunity during your numerous disappearances. If I could give less than one star I would. Two friends of mine and I were coming to dine after a long day. We are middle eastern women with head coverings. First we waited for about 45 minutes to be seated when more than half the store was empty. A black three person table walked in after us and was seated before us. (First strike of racim) We are seated and our waiter comes to take our order. We order appetizers and soups and meals all at once. 25 minutes later he comes out with our soups, that were incorrect to begin with. Another 10 minutes go by and we get the right order of soups. And I'm notified that they don't have the soda for my drink and they'll make an exception for the smoothie we ordered. The smoothie bought out is in a plastic cup, messy and with no straw. After that we wait about another 35 minutes only for him to bring out 1 out of 3 entrees, cold and not even edible. As far as I know,all entrees are supposed to come out together as well as it should be no be cold. We were told we'd get another round of biscuits as the table was empty and we never even got those. I asked for another water, nothing. Note that the table behind us, seated after us, also was tended to and got everything way before we even got our appetizers. (2nd strike) After waiting for about an hour for the two other meals and sending the first one back to be heated up, one plate was cold and the other was missing a side so another side item. was added. Not even wanting to eat anymore we ate what we could and asked to have it wrapped to-go. The waiter comes back puts 3 small to-go boxes down and walks away before we even say anything. We were just baffled thus far and didn't imagine we had to wrap our own food in these tiny little boxes. So we asked for one more. Wrapped up our food, paid on the little tablet they left on the table and left. The food was not even worth it and the whole experience was absolutely horrible. Never really had an experience this bad. It seems that everyone dining as well as working at this location was black and as for being the only 3 middle eastern females in the place, we were targeted. It is completely and utterly unacceptable to be treated this way and have such terrible service. Legal action should and definitely be taken and this service should not be tolerated. Wow. So they ran out of lobster! I don't think someone in management got the memo- how do you prepare for a huge weekend crowd without the crustacean that's IN THE TITLE OF THE DANG RESTAURANT?? The wait time is always long at Gateway's location because the waiters/waitresses do not tend to their tables fast enough, leading to longer times at tables and less available seats. My boyfriend and I just wanted to stop by for a quick lunch and we got cabin fever from being at this Red Lobster for over 2 hours waiting for a seat and then our meal. I've been trying to wait to give Red Lobster an opportunity to redeem themselves or to rectify the situation, but as it stands, none of this is feasible. In an attempt to provide some normalcy to my family, I decided to order a Red Lobster family meal on April 1st. I ordered directly from their site, and my order came to $151.23. My food was to come an hour to an hour and a half after being placed. I received a text message from door dash, who would be handling the delivery, that my order was cancelled as the restaurant was closed. I also received an email from Red Lobster saying they cancelled the order. I thought nothing of it and went to place an alternate order somewhere else. When I saw my money wasn't put back on my card, I contacted my bank and reversed the charges. April 2nd I woke up and the charges were back on my card. When I contacted my bank, they advised me to contact the store to find out why I was recharged and told me a dispute would have to be filed. I called this store repeatedly on the 2nd, as well as emailing the contact center (I called several times but their call center is closed due to covid-19). I finally got in touch with the manager, Eli Lucien, who told me to email him the screenshots of my order and he would look into it. I gave it a few days and attempted to call back because I still had not received a call back or a refund. After I received no answer calling multiple times a day, and in addition to my dispute from my bank, I contacted the Better Business Bureau. I finally received correspondence from Red Lobster's customer relations 2 weeks later informing me that a manager would be calling me by April 17th. I never received the call back by the date, but on April 18th, Eli Lucien called me. He apologized for the inconvenience and said he would process my refund and in addition to my troubles, customer relations would be sending me a $75 gift card to the restaurant. He called me back again and kept me on the phone because he said he wanted to process the refund while I was on the phone. He had me confirm the last 4 of my card number so I assumed everything was ok. On Tuesday, April 21st, I received a gift card from customer relations, but it was for $150. I thought maybe they felt extremely bad for the situation, but I was still awaiting my refund. I even contacted my bank to detail the correspondence between the manager and I to see why the refund was so delayed. The Better Business Bureau contacted me stating Red Lobster reported that I accepted a gift card for $150 in the place of my refund. I, as well as my children, are immunocompromised, and a gift card can only be physically used in the restaurant, so this just added insult to injury. Not to mention this whole situation leaving a bad taste in my mouth and me being very leery of ever doing any kind of business with Red Lobster. I feel completely helpless in this situation that during a time like this, they'd be so crooked when they're entirely at fault. read more

So I went here with a friend after a long trip returning home from Paris. We were both so hungry so we decided to stop by since it was so close and it was a tossup between this and the other restaurants in that complex. So when we arrive we ended up waiting no more than about three or four minutes to be seated. We were seated and then we just decided to order drinks which came in a very decent time. Our host her name was Patty and she was really nice. We gave her a very nice tip as well because she was an extremely good person and knowledgeable about the menu. Our food came and it taste amazing. My food was cooked to the perfect temperature that I ask for. However, my friend realized and pointed out a very small cockroach that was crawling along the side of the booth. I was able to quickly grab it and crush it and wrap it up in a bunch of napkins along with the tray that they usually give you the breading. Which was still on the table. I reported it to the manager and he thanked me for bringing the problem to his attention and he also compensated by making one of the meals free. So to wrap this all up, The food was awesome, the drinks were awesome, and the service was great. However that bug situation needs to be looked at immediately by staff and personnel because once you see one cockroach usually there are many not far behind and can be a definite health issue.
