I never had Red Lobster, and my boyfriend was telling me that I should at least have it once because of all the rumors saying that it's going to go out of business. I'm also a hugeeee seafood lover, so it kind of made sense to go here. Okay, I have to admit, the famous biscuits are so dangerous. They came out hot, buttery, and flaky--yum! I was surprised because they're also bottomless--my boyfriend and I had to refuse our server multiple times because she was so nice about asking to refill. DAT TEMPTATION THO. Boyfriend got a pound of snow crab with a side of melted butter, and honestly, if I could reorder, I'd rather have had that. Don't get me wrong, my food was awesome, but I did NOT know that melted butter could make snow crab (which tastes fantastic alone), taste that good. I had the bottomless shrimp (grilled skewered shrimp, parmesan shrimp, hand battered fried shrimp). They weren't joking when they said bottomless--again our waitress was really good about keeping my plate full; she'd ask and bring out more even before I was done, even though I already thought my stomach was going to explode. The parmesan shrimp was kinda greasy (even though it was good), and the fried shrimp was just grease overkill. Next time i'll probably get something else. Service was excellent; our waitress was really attentive. Of course it was semi-pricey, since it's seafood, but got our money's worth. tl;dr pretty good seafood spot, good biscuits, great service. Visited my favorite place for dinner. Never any issues before. Looking forward to their "baked potato with langostino & lobster" side dish . Served and there were 2 small pieces of lobster. Server very nice and said the mashed potato version appeared to have more. So that dish came to table with 3 tiny pieces of either langostino/lobster. Sent back and removed from bill @($3.99). Neither dish looked anything at all like the menu picture. Seated @ 6 pm so unless they were running out we had no clue as to issue with the dish. No explanation forthcoming. read more

2 stars because the service was great. The mashed potatoes with uncharge for seafood on top was inedible - tasted like paste and toping was minimal. Scallops were fishy (should be meaty). And most disappointing was the coconut shrimp (which I've had on many occasions) which tasted like cardboard. I will say the crab ragoon shrimp appetizer and the calamari was good. The 200$ I spent for 5 adults could have been better spent somewhere else. (My first job many years ago was at the Red Lobster on Reading Road - I know what the place could be capable of). read more

So me and my girlfriend called for reservations, they ended up not putting us on the reservation list... so we had to wait an hour. Which was okay with us. The manager was SUPER rude to the hostess and personally called out my girlfriend. The manager was telling customers how the host wasn't doing her job and how she was doing her job. Me and my girlfriend were talking, when the manager looks and points at my girlfriend and said "and I'm sorry you disagree, but one day you WILL understand". We ended up talking to the host and saying sorry about how she was being treated, and learned that she wasn't even supposed to be working ! She was done 2 hours before we got there but stayed to help! Manager also talked about "professionalism" but wasn't wearing a uniform and smelled so bad. I get working in the food business you do get smelly, but it smelled like she was super unhygienic. Food was awful when I visited last month. Not as tasty as previous company owner's. The crab legs look like they was put on a tread mill and very small portions. The shrimp scampi has also changed. The garlic biscuits was so cold they was a disappointment. The menu change is not for the good. Portion sizes have decreased considerably. Not worth visiting. Be prepared with all that seating you will be waiting to get in. Then if it is just two they do the same thing and place you right next to a bunch of children. So if you want to try to enjoy the meal you better ask not to be placed by children. But then again that doesn't mean they won't seat some next to you after your seated....then you have to usually have to listen to them scream or climb over the booths. I was always a Red Lobster fan of this location but I have no plans of going back anytime in the future. I've seen a gradual decline and looks like immediate action is needed. I was told a 25-30 wait. Went inside after waiting over an hour. We ask if we could get seated. The host told us that we were only waiting for an hour and told us that we can't be seated for another 20 mins as we walk out and saw through the windows three tables were dirty and needed to be cleaned so we could be seated. Not to mention the host was very rude. This is highly unprofessional! You should have a service that is completely honest with the wait time & always tell them how many ppl are before them. I am not happy with red lobsters ability to be professional. This needs to be addressed. read more

I use to love red lobster. Everything has its own taste and smell it was great. Yesterday I went for lunch with my husband who hates fish. But likes chicken. From the cheese sticks to the biscuits to the lobster it all tasted the same. I do not know how the food is prep. But I do know there is a lot of butter involved. Maybe different items need to have its own individual butter to be bathed in.. For the price I think I'll just cook my seafood at home. So I can taste it for what it is..... read more

Short wait time if you beat the after-work rush. It does get busy quickly though. Sean was our server, and a wonderful one at that; polite, pleasant, attentive but not overly so. Food was wonderful, no complaints. In our opinion, this is the best Red Lobster location around. Service was speedy with little wait time between appetizer and main course. read more

The food is so so. They cant seems to figure out how to steam broccoli. The cocktails are decent, but the place always smells like fish.

The prices seem to be higher every time I go and the quality of the crab legs is consistently bad. Why can't a seafood place cook crab legs properly? In addition, crab is such a low priority that you can barely find it on the menu now. I was told I could choose it with the make your own combo despite it not being listed but when the waitress came back to take our order, it was an upcharge of $4! (By the way, a properly cooked crab leg should smartly snap and then the meat should slide out in 1 long piece. At Red Lobster you have to use the fork to open every single leg like a can opener and dig every shred out because it's soggy!). To top off the $125 family of four evening, the waitress put the whole bill on one credit card when presented with two cards to split the check, thereby having to issue a refund and then start over. 2 stars only means all the rest of the food tastes good but as a seafopd restaurant it's really a shame that it's Cincinnati's only choice. read more

I've been here about 6 times, never had a real serious issue. One night my friends and I came in right before close and they let us eat and didn't rush us. Their food is really good but some of it is a bit over-priced because not all of it is amazing. I had one of their specialty drinks it had chocolate in it, can't remember the name and it wasn't that great and cost like $6, I should have just stuck with beer. read more

I had been so looking forward to celebrating birthdays here but was somewhat disappointed with our dinner. I was charged almost $10 extra for swapping out shrimp scampi for crab legs which really didn't bother me but the skimpy amount and the lack of crab meat in the very thin legs was not worth it. But on New Year's day (January 1st) and this past Sunday (August 6) the Withamsville Red Lobster....AGAIN....had NO LOBSTERS!! We walked in and the tank was on its side empty! On my birthday and for an entire month prior to my birthday this restaurant did not have lobsters! So AGAIN we were forced to drive to the Montgomery location adding ONE HOUR of extra driving just to eat a lobster. Thank you Withamsville location for ruining yet another special date night! If you can't consistently maintain your tank and stock lobsters then by all means, remove "lobster" from your name!! Really, really, really disappointed in this location. read more

Called ahead to have our name put on the list. Still waited nearly 20 minutes before we were seated. More customers were finished with their meal and leaving than were being seated. Tables were not being bussed very quickly and caused waiting guests to really stack up in the lobby. After we were seated, no one approached our table for 10 minutes. I brought this to the manager's attention who offered 2 free appetizers and said he would find our server. Another server took our drink order and then "our" server came to the table. Drinks and first appetizer came quickly. Five minutes later second appetizer came out with our salads right behind it. We hadn't eaten half of our salad before our meals came to our table. One entree was incorrect and sent back to the kitchen, the other three were correct. Server checked on us right after our food was brought to the table and we never saw her again until she brought the check. Two of us needed refills and we set the empty glasses on the outer edge of the table but they were not observed when she brought the check, even though we still had food on our plates. We used the ladies restroom on our way out and it was a complete mess with toilet paper, seat liners, and paper towels all over the floor and overflowing from the trash can. Not sure what the malfunction/confusion was tonight but we've eaten at this location several times and tonight was not the service we are accustomed to. read more
