Ordered take out. Wow, I swear Red Lobster either doesn't care or just cannot get it right? I had Atlantic Salmon with Soy Ginger Glaze. Why would they package the glaze in a container without a lid, did I already mention I ordered take out? The baked potato is packed in the same container as the salmon. So I had a soy glazed potato and dry salmon since the soy ginger sauce was packaged with no lid. Definitely would NOT recommend this Red Lobster, especially for take out. read more

They took more than 20min to get us the water and get our order! Then we had to wait another 30 min to get our food! Then when we asKed for some ketchup and ranch, guess what? Its never came! My boyfriend and I went here for a date night. Nothing against this particular location, but if Red Lobster wasn't about the food, it'd be a top notch place for me. Loved the ambiance. The lights are low, the music is smooth and everything just feels...good. Customer service is great. Every employee made eye contact, smiled and spoke to us. Our server was the best (Jim), very pleasant and accommodating. My boyfriend speaks very little English and Jim was kind enough to piece together what little Spanish he knew to communicate with him. The biscuits are-as always-amazing, but what kills me is how SALTY the food is. It's not just this spot, either. I'm a seafood fanatic and I really, REALLY want to like Red Lobster. But the sodium content is way too noticeable for me to really enjoy my meals. When everything else is so right, it's super disappointing that I can't give the food five stars. Ah, Red Lobster. Faithful barometer of the middle class's well-being and stalwart reminder of the decorative powers of signal flags, oars, and nautical charts. It's always raining or cold when I come to this place, as if the weather wants to complete the effect of stepping off some fish gut slicked boat hull into an intimate cabin full of fresh seafood chow. Of course, "fresh" is subjective, and knowing what's in season can help your experience at any seafood restaurant. Ordering crab legs way outside the fishing calendar for them is a big no-no, but your average purveyor can't be expected to pay attention to such factors, so the giant red sea bug sitting on the sign has always struck me as a subtle nudge toward what the owners hope you'll order instead. Be that as it may, Red Lobster still delivers a nice dining experience, and the service at this location has always been solid. Management is clearly on top of things, at least during the dinner hours we typically frequent. We've never had a bad waiter, in fact most of these folks seem a cut above those at other restaurants. However, it has to be said that Red Lobster wants a lot for their food. Their eponymous namesake, in particular, is hoisted on the menu at a crazy price, given that someone who knows how to cook lobsters (i.e. boil water, insert lobster) can go right down to H-Mart and bag roughly three for what this place wants for one. Yes, I know someone else has cooked it and cracked it, but I'm not sure that's worth a $20-25 premium, even for the squeamish or those who adore those incredible globs of butter masquerading as biscuits. The situation gets worse when it comes to items like flounder and salmon. Yes, they're good, but again--H-Mart is right down the road, and you can see just what the premium is on top of what you're actually eating. (Autry's, my fellow diners. When in doubt, you can at least do that!) Still, this same phenomenon applies to most restaurants, and I don't mean to pick on Red Lobster too much, particularly this location. But it's worth noting that while this is a solid date night locale or haunt for a special occasion, what Red Lobster is expecting for seafood that doesn't really soar above other choices is as rich as their butter. SMALL CHILDREN SECTION ----------------------------------- Red Lobster is not a good kid-friendly environment, which isn't their fault--their clientele would really prefer you not seat your two year old such that they're now in a noise cone or splash zone. Specifics: Seating flexibility: 2/5 (We have kids. Park us in the back, in a table, and out of view of everyone) Extra Napkin Score: 4/5. Although paper napkins aren't plentiful, the huge cloth silverware-smotherers make them largely unnecessary. Inevitable spill \ dropped crayon tolerance: N/A. For once it didn't happen! Who hasnt been to red lobster? If you havent your either a late coming fob or living under a rock! Ricky and I went here last night because I wanted those cheddar biscuits. Since every red lobster food quality dosent change I will only review the specifics of this location: 1. parking is easy but sketchy in this location 2. this location is not busy even on friday night (seated and food comes out pretty fast) 3. service is meh (aka do they split tips here?) 4. Seems its more "casual" at this location than i remember red lobster being (dont bother with a dress when people come in a casual top and jeans). Overall, its a meh. I hadn't been to a Red Lobster for probably 20 years, not since I was a small child. It has, at least in California, a reputation for subpar seafood, shoddy service, and outdated decor. But this visit completely surprised me. We went here when my mother was in town because she had a giftcard. Just walking through door, I couldn't believe how beautifully decorated it was inside. It was--dare I say--refined! What happened to the block glass, gray speckle formica, and tubular metal details!? Such a good change. The place was packed, and we were sat in a section where a large party was about to form. Our server graciously said she'd make sure our orders were in and out before theirs, and she did a great job keeping our drinks refilled, answering our menu questions, and the like. The food was really surprising. I had a combo of coconut shrimp and stuffed flounder, and when I tried my mother's green beans, I was sad I didn't order them. They were crisp-tender and not the bland spongy microwaved things most chain restaurants serve. The coconut shrimp were crispy, slightly sweet, piping hot, and rather filling. The stuffed flounder is the only reason I deduct a star. It was way too salty. Everything else I tried from others (various shrimp, mostly) was also good. read more

I'll start by saying the biscuits were really good. I know they can be really dry and overcooked at some locations. Our server was polite but terrible!! She kept disappearing for long periods of time but the restaurant was pretty much empty. We had to ask someone to find her so we could order on 3 different occasions! I ordered the clam chowder which was kinda bland but ok after adding salt and pepper. I had two bags of crackers which I discovered were both STALE! They were near soggy they were so stale. Really really slow night and super slow service. Took over two hours from being seated to closing out the tab and leaving. I think we also wasted 15 minutes waiting to have our drink order taken. Then an additional 15 minutes to receive them. Then an additional 15 to make a food order then an additional 15 for the biscuits and salads to come out. Already an hour wasted and not even to the main course. I wonder of the manager even owns a watch or runs a regime. Also one waitress was serving customers while jamming out to her music and you can hear it two booths away. Great service and what a great way to waste $50. Never stopping or eating here again. The waitress said she was busy yet never really saw her and she forgot two parts of our order and had to be frequently reminded and requested. My husband wanted to take me out for a nice dinner, since we rarely get to spend a good time together, with our conflicting work schedules. Originally, we had agreed on Olive Garden, though couldn't located the Olive Garden location on Pleasent Hill. My husband suggested Red Lobster, instead of driving around looking for the Olive Garden. This was my husbands first time at Red Lobster. I hadn't been to a Red Lobster in about 6 years. The wait time before seated on a Saturday night was approximately 20 minutes. We finally got seated and sat at our table and waited. A server approached our table and handed us menus, came back and asked us what we wanted to drink, as well as the type of salad we wanted. I felt this was a bit odd, especially asking prior to taking our actual order. We had waited a good 15 minutes before anyone approached our table to give us re-fills and take our order. The restaurant did not appear to be that overly busy, where it should take that long for someone to come by our table and take our order. By the time another employee came by to take our order, we were ready to walk out. We felt like we were ignored and service should have been more prompt. We decided to go ahead and order, since we have waited this long, who's to say how long we would have waited elsewhere. Our food arrived and service appeared to be more prompt as the night went on. I had ordered the Wood grilled Lobster, Shrimp and Scallops. The Lobster was a HUGE disappointment. For the amount I paid for my meal, I expected the Lobster to be a bit larger. It was like an appetizer portion, for the Lobster and lacked of flavor. Not exactly something I would consider a reason to want to go back to Red Lobster. We noticed that there were a few other guests seated near by, that were also complaining about there meal. Red Lobster did not leave us with a very good experience, to consider going back anytime soon, if at all. Had lunch from Red Lobster. This was actually my first time trying Red Lobster! I've had the famous biscuits before, but today I decided to have an actual meal. Went for the Cajun chicken Alfredo pasta with fries on the side. The total for the meal was $12 which seemed pricey, but I gave them the benefit of the doubt. When I tried the meal I realized I overpaid for subpar food. It was oily and cheesy to mask the lack of quality. Plus the chicken was only 4 strips of grilled chicken, probably one 3oz cut MAX (definitely not worth the price). Overall I would never eat at Red Lobster again, but would still get their biscuits ha! read more

My husband ordered the lobster tail with a Ceaser salad( very good one of our favorites) and mash potato; he said it was very meaty ,fresh &nicely grilled. I ordered the lobster and artichoke dip and black clams which are appetizers but I had cravings so I ordered two appetizers. They were very good I love black clams and these particular were very well seasoned and sautéed in the wine ( had a slight taste not to much though just perfect). We had a coupon and a gift card to use for Red Lobster so we decided to go on a date. We don't go to Red Lobster that often, but that will change based on the service we received today. The meal was pretty good, I had steak and lobster with a side of clam chowder and my wife had lobster tacos. However, the service was incredible. If you get the opportunity, ask for Marcel. It's the McDonald's of the seafood world, so you can't expect much when you go here. Except, of course, for the cheesy biscuits. CHEESY BISCUITS!!! The only true redeeming quality of Red Lobster (followed closely by their Lobsteritas). I had the surf n turf special (sirloin and lobster tail) and it was edible. Which I guess is all you can hope for. So, no complaints on that end. We sat at the bar and our service was pretty good. The food came quickly and everyone was quite pleasant, so again, no complaints on that end. I guess, to sum it all up...it's Red Lobster. read more
