I was treated so poorly at the RL on S. 72nd St. Normally the food is ok, but the customer service is usually Great! The on duty manager got upset and had a full blown argument with me because my seafood pasta had a raw shrimp, and I returned my full plate after one bite. The manager offered to take 30% off my meal. That was not fair in my opinion because I had only had 1bite, and after realizing the shrimp was raw I lost my appetite. The manager lost control to the point she kicked my whole party out and said she would take care of the check she just wanted us out. As I was leaving I was carrying my sons left overs. The manager got upset I guess because I BB was carrying out left overs, in a box they gave us. She yelled at me and said I couldn't take any food out! She got so upset she lunged at me, luckily her staff was there to restrain her. I called to report it to a manager. I informed him that I didn't appreciate the poor treatment and I felt threatened. His response was "We at RL Are Family & We Stick Together!" I have reported details to headquarters and am anxiously waiting to see how they handle this matter. Needless to say I won't be going back! I spoke with Corporate on Monday they offered a $30 gift card. I will be contacting a lawyer today. read more

The cheddar biscuits. Let's just address those first. If you took, the feeling of sitting on a warm beach with an ice cold drink in your hand, sun beating down on you as you smell that ocean breeze & someone else watching your toddlers/teenagers, and combined it with the sheer bliss of buttery garlic goodness; you have just smelled the biscuits coming out of the oven and approaching your table. If you dont fill up on those, the crab legs, shrimp & lobster tails are always delicious & piping hot. I wish they had al you can eat shrimp more often, and maybe a little more variety on those, but Im just being picky now. Enjoy! read more

So my wife and I travel for a living and are based out of Omaha. We LOVE Red Lobster. I hired an Uber. The guy was spot on and on time. I was able to have my Uber wait for me..... over 40 minutes for a take out order. That forty minutes was AFTER I arrived at red lobster. I will give this location this...they did refund me $15 for the wait. Regardless. This was their shrimp special, we did get plenty of food but never received ONE garlic biscuit! Can you imagine??! I ordered the lobster lover's dream with baked potato & crispy brussels sprouts. I was given shrimp alfredo & coconut shrimp by door dasher Htee at 4:35p. My order actually had Becca C's name on it. I informed the dasher that the order was not mine and belong to someone else. The dasher suggested I call the restaurant to rectify the situation since this was the order she was given. The restaurant employee said we have your order right here and the dasher should come back to the restaurant for it. I finally received my food at 5:37p. The biscuits were rock hard, inedible and cold. The crispy Brussels sprouts had too much glaze on them, were burnt or extra charred and cold. The shrimp and lobster pasta was cold and had absolutely no flavor. The lobster was cold and tasteless. The potato was the only item that was hot but bland. The cheese for the baked potato was insufficient and melted in the container. I am thoroughly disappointed with the below expectations, subpar food I received today. read more

I ordered the rock lobster tail. The server explained that a Maine tail is more tender, but it is smaller and can be ordered a la carte. I said I was familiar with rock lobster and wanted it. She said she mentioned the Maine because she "didn't want any problems." To me that meant that i could not return it if i didn't like it. It was ok, but somewhat overcooked and overly seasoned. I tried others' lobster dishes at our table, with smaller tails, and they were lacking in flavor. I've cooked supermarket frozen tails that had much more flavor. read more

I don't know what has happened to this place since my last review, BUT ABSOLUTELY NOT!!! I'm from the east coast, so shellfish - primarily lobster is my forte, I still would venture to Red Lobster. After the experience I had there on Saturday, I do not recommend this place. First off, we were at a table of 6 (3 couples). Two of us had water, the others had tea or soda. Those of us with water probably shouldn't have ordered water. We sat the ENTIRE meal with empty glasses. Our server, Dave, filled up the sodas and teas - once, but when we would ask about water, he said he'd be right back...never to show up again with water. Our meals started off okay, except for my salad. I understand that restaurants order their garden salads in giant bags, but the least they could do was PICK OUT THE MOLDED AND WILTED pieces of lettuce. I put one piece on my appetizer plate, Dave picked it up, I pointed out the piece, he said okay, and left with the plate. When he came to collect our salad plates, I pointed out the VERY MOLDY piece of lettuce I found shortly after he left the first time (of which had caused me to completely not touch my salad, I can handle a wilted brown piece, I will not tolerate mold on my salad). I pointed it out, he snapped at me with an "okay" and took off with the plates. At this point, I'm about livid, but being with friends, I was trying to be patient. I order the same meal every time I come to Red Lobster: Ultimate Feast, but please sub the fried shrimp (Walt's Favorite Shrimp) with broiled sea scallops - I'm not one for most fried foods, the oil churns my stomach. Four of us had ordered meals that came with crab legs. He brought out one plate with two crackers and 2 wipes...there are four of us eating crab legs, and I love my friends, but I'm taking one of the wipes! We asked for more, we got nothing. Also, one of the four of us didn't receive crab legs. My plate came with very poorly fried scallops (to the point the so-called breading was falling off and there was a puddle of clear oil under the scallops). When I brought up that I asked for broiled, he snapped at me again with a monotone "okay" and said he'll be right back...before I could even finish my sentence or my friend could say she was missing her crab legs. He comes back a little while later, still no scallops, of which my friend was able to ask about her crab legs. Those come out fairly quickly, I still didn't have my scallops. Um...I'm not eating the fried puddle on my plate, so I inquired, again, VERY NICELY about the scallops. Finally, they come out. I brought the situation up to the very tall long-haired manager on the way out but at this point, we were so mad with the service, I just wanted to leave the restaurant, in which we did. If you want to venture to this place, sure, be my guest, but do not sit in Dave's section apparently. After coming here once or twice (if not more) a month for several years, I will say, this last experience has me bittered enough to never go back. read more

What can you really say - it's a Red Lobster. The food is edible, some of it even decent depending on what you order. I had the shrimp nachos on the last visit. They used to be lobster nachos but the staff here claims there is some sort of lobster shortage. Seems odd since there are 20 other things on the menu containing lobster. It's Red Lobster, so you know what to expect food wise. My review is based on their attitude and service...or lack thereof. I travel a lot for work and end up eating a lot of meals by myself. It baffles me why there is such a negative attitude towards women dining alone. The hostess seemed baffled that I was alone. Then, after being seated, when there was clearly only one place setting, the server still felt the need to ask if I was alone. She also did not feel the need to tell me about any specials or anything else. Just took my order and left. The manager also ignored me. He stopped at the table of the man at a table dining alone to ask how he was but didn't bother to ask me. It's 2015 people. Women are allowed to dine alone! Unfortunately, the host staff is not very friendly and shall we say just rude. We came out with the family to eat. We had to get our name on the list. I asked how long the wait would be and they told me, "Well, your party checked in 16 minutes ago and we had told them 45 minutes so..." A simple 30 minutes would have been a better response. Hadn't been there in a while so we went last night. Was really looking forward to their signature biscuits but didn't get any until after our appetizer and salads had arrived, and only had 4 in the basket, the exact number of our party... The crab linguini had bits of crabshell in it and the crab tasted stringy, like the rejects from the crab legs at the chinese buffet. One kid got macaroni and cheese, which looked like they just made a box of easy mac and gave him half. The service was great and our waiter was awesome, I don't fault him for the biscuit thing. It's was a typical Red Lobster experience, which my family loves. Big fans. Everything we ordered was fresh and tasty. I love the Cheddar Bay biscuits. I have eaten at a lot of Reb Lobster's and this one is typical. With one exception, our waitress was annoying and slow. She has this super high pitched fake sounding voice, and she tried way too hard to talk her way to a big tip. But when it came to being attentive, she was hard to find. We had to flag her down for refills, and other request. For some reason, our food got to our table much much later than others ordering around us, at other waitress' tables. It seemed as if our waitress only had 2 tables, so it wasn't like she was super busy. We asked for the biscuits to come out first, and three times we had to remind her. We asked for extra condiments, and had to remind her twice. Tea glasses were completely empty for several minutes at a time. It was frustrating. But the food was good, as always at Red Lobster. Normally service is great too, but not this time. I did notice the other waitress in our area. She was really on the ball, attentive, and very good. Wish we had gotten her instead. read more

Red Lobster is not special in any way to me. The price does not compare to it's subpar food. I get the idea that people strut in like they are dining fancy for infinite dinner rolls. The work uniform the employees have is very sharp and the environment of the restaurant is also very appealing. I did find dead bugs in the bottom of my lemonade however. As a Chinese grew up in a coastal city eating fresh seafood on the daily basis, I am a professional crab and shrimp diner. I love the snowcrabs here, I eat them without any tools, tools will only slow me down... sauces are delicious... I highly recommend the Saracha shrimps, my husband and I ordered a lot. I had the fish and chips and it was the worst piece of fish I have had in many years. My wife ordered a margarita with a salted rim and they used sugar instead of salt. Pros: -Great service -Fantastic Food -Fresh Food -Clean -Family-friendly Cons: -Food takes a while to reach table -On the expensive side Red Lobster is one of my favorite restaurants. It's an elegant restaurant based around the sea. Most of the items on the menu are seafood items, or at least have some type of seafood in them. Even though there are many seafood items, there are also different types of food, like steak, salad, fries, vegetables, fruit, etc. The food isn't the only thing that is phenomenal, the service is also fantastic. Once you sit down, there is a waiter or waitress there to assist you. The food may reach the table a little on the slow side, but that's because the food is freshly made. This restaurant chain is definitely something to visit some time. On February 5th, 2017, I went to the Red Lobster on 72nd Street. I arrived at around 4:25 p.m. so I could beat the dinner rush. The dinner rush usually starts around 5:00-5:30 p.m. so plan on going earlier to get a table, or you can reserve a table by calling in. As soon as my mom and I sat down, there was as a waiter right three to serve us. This surprised me because usually when I go to restaurants, we don't get served for a while. The service wasn't the only thing that was pretty great, the food was amazing as well. The food took a while to be delivered our table, but it was worth the wait. The food was nice and fresh and tasted amazing. The prices of the food here is a little expensive, but for the amount of food you get and for how fresh it is, it is definitely worth the expense. There is an item on the menu that consists of two clusters of snow crab legs, one lobster tail, a dish of shrimp scampi, eight butterfly shrimp, and two sides. The price of this meal is about $28, though. With the amount of food you receive, I think it's okay. The seafood is the best part. In my opinion, they make the best crab legs I have ever had. Red Lobster is a nice and family friendly restaurant. Since they have a kids' menu, I think it would be a great place for a family with kids. The atmosphere is very inviting and mature. The restaurant itself is very clean and sanitary. The tables aren't cramped together because the building is very large and spacious. The decor makes the area feel more mature. The decor really makes the restaurant feel a little elegant. This restaurant is a very fine establishment to visit. Even though it is on the expensive side, I think it is worth it because you get great service, great and fresh food, and a fantastic atmosphere. Red Lobster is a pleasant place to visit when you want to have big meal, and if you are willing to pay the extra dollar. I would recommend this restaurant to people of all ages because it is mature, but also family friendly. This particular Red Lobster had the best review. It was my birthday and brought the grandchildren as well. When we walked in, there was a foul smell from the food . The aroma from the inside appears to be it has not been cleaned.It seem like the tables were wiped down with "plain water". Either the foul smell was coming from the carpet, or the place has not been aired out. As for the food, it was okay but not the best! read more

I ordered take out one evening the staff was very friendly I will rate that a five however the meals seemed to be thrown into the carry out containers I had 7 meals ordered 4 of the meals didn't include sides. I honestly think that Bc I ordered near closing time they were upset and just threw my meal in pkging I called the next day to speak with a manager was told to leave a msg never got a call back. The only thing that wasn't so great was my little sister getting yelled at by the guy in the booth in front of us because she was looking at there table. I guess 3 year olds can't even look at a table without getting yelled at by a crazy old men. I sincerely hope that men never has kids in his life. We will definitely come back.
