Food was hot and on time and service was great never disappointed carrot cake is my favorite

It's been a few years since we've gone to Salt Grass and I have no idea why we waited so long. Everything was excellent. Husband had the Caesar salad, the country fried steak, and the Moscow mule. He said the salad was better than Outback's or any other steak house. The mule was the best one he has ever had. I had the tenderloin bites, which is an appetizer and the white cosmopolitan. My wife ordered a sirloin steak cooked medium. The first steak they brought out took about an hour to get, and was blue (super rare). We asked them if it could be cooked a bit more. They took the plate back and didnt come back for 30 minutes. After finally coming back, they brought a steak that was cooked medium. The issue was that it was so over charbroiled that there was a thick black crust over the entire steak that tasted like a griddle. Also the manager came by like 5 times to ask how everything was and wanted to watch me cut into my steak, i felt like a hostage. We ended up just trying it and leaving, will not be coming back. Edit Well the manager came by again and said he would take it off the bill. When i got the bill, the steak was still on there. When i brought it up to the manager, he said "well i took the soda and an appetizer off" which totaled $15. It was a $30+ dollar steak. Then he started arguing with me. He also had to go to about 4 other tables for similar issues. Just very poor management. Our waitress was fantastic, it is sad that she has to deal with such a inept and ignorant manager. read more

So at first I think we got forgotten. Waited 20 min after seating right on time for our 7:00 reservation. Called over a server from another table to ask if we could get some service he apologized and said he would be right back. That was Juan he then became our server for the evening. So gracious and kind. Met our every need. After that moment food came fast and hot. I had the Bourbon glazed pork chops, hubby and friend had rib eyes cooked to perfection and my friend had the Oscar filet she said it was amazing. We share a bottle of Pinot Noir and topped off with chocolate cake. A piece so big that it satisfied all four of us. Juan took us on as an extra table and even decorated the cake himself. Great service...manager came out to ask how everything was...boxed up my leftover lunch..and suggested the carrot cake for dessert..we were not even considering dessert..but he said the magic words ..CARROT CAKE ..it was absolutely heavenly!!! Just what a carrot cake should taste like...more!!! This is one of our favorite restaurants to go to. Their steaks our cooked to perfection and mouth watering. Their house salads are so fresh. My husband loves their potato soup. Sometimes, we'll order the Strawberry cheesecake. Absolutely delicious. The service is superb! Great experience! read more

The service was great! No issues with the staff! The food though, very disappointing. Caesar salad was drenched in sauce(you could drink it with a straw). Bread was very dry and flavorless. Ribeye had no flavor with a coat of random seasoning. A good steak needs salt at most. Brussel sprouts were sweat and over cooked. Cheesecake tastes fake, cheap and freezer burnt. Visited on a random early Saturday night and we were able to sit pretty quickly! It was a cool western vibe with great service! Our waitress was great and there were many people who stopped by to check on us! I got a Pomegranate Mojito and it was so refreshing! I also recommend the pineapple margarita! Awful! Not to the normal Saltgrass or Landry property standards. In fairness I was warned this Saltgrass location is not comparable to others and they were not wrong. First of all I waited ten minutes or more before I saw an employee and then when I did it was a manager who was utterly annoyed (at me not his staff) that I had not been helped. He took my order and his attitude didn't even change when I presented my LSC card (member since 2007-ish) I have never encountered any Landry property as an LSC that I did not receive excellent attention and at least 1 visit by a manger with an immediate follow up email asking about my experience. I never did see the manager again and a cook or very disheveled waiter brought my order out to me and just handed me the to go bag and walked away. I was expecting my follow up email from LSC to address the lack of typical Landry hospitality and quality but I have yet to receive it. I wish my experience stopped there but now into the food. Omg it was god awful!!! I ordered the tenderloin bites and seafood fondue appetizers to take back to my hotel room. The seafood fondue tasted like vomit! The consistency and texture was also much like vomit some liquid, some creamy as fondue should be, and chunks of mixed up seafood which I expected but the taste and textures were absolutely terrible. I took 2 bites and threw the rest away. The first then I forced myself to take a second just to be sure I was assessing the product correctly. It smelled of vomit too. I had to set it outside my hotel room so the room didn't smell all night. Well thank goodness I had the beef tenderloin bites..... should be what I'm saying but unfortunately no good review for that item either. The mushrooms that accompanied were very good and I liked the creamy chimichurri dipping sauce. Half the bites were what you would trim and throw away with fat the half that was edible had the potential to be good except for the Smokey flavor. It wasn't a natural Smokey flavor like from a grill it was the false chemical flavor when one gets too heavy handed with liquid smoke. I was so excited to have a salt grass around the corner from my hotel where I'm staying at least 3 weeks for work I was certain I'd eat there multiple times a week but alas that was my first last and only visit to that Saltgrass location. read more

Gus, our server, was the best part of the experience, but the food was right up there too! Gus was personable and knowledgeable for two out of towners. We both enjoyed our steaks, sides, and salads. My friends and I celebrated a birthday lunch at Salt Grass Steakhouse in Omaha. We all chose the beef tips with mushrooms over garlic mashed potatoes. Went there for lunch on St. Patrick's Day. We ate delicious Ribeyes and Salmon. All were cooked to perfection. The service we received from Stefanie was outstanding. She didn't miss a step! Tonight we went to Saltgrass with our out of town parents. I had been here shortly after it opened and was not impressed. Tonight was outstanding. The most impressive part of our evening was the service. From the greeter to our server Willow and then the manager Gonzalo we were extremely impressed. My husband and I enjoy dining out frequently so we are no novices. 3 of us had steaks and they were cooked perfectly. I will say I wouldn't come here for salads but it's not that's kind of restaurant. My husband ordered the cheesecake for dessert and we all took a bite. Some of the best cheesecake we've had and they make it in house. Oh, we also had the brisket queso recommended by Willow and is was a home run too. read more

Saltgrass became one of my favorite places for its grilled chicken. Just absolutely delicious. I often get the chicken tenders with mashed potatoes and mac and cheese and salad as well as the lunch special tenderloin tips. All great! I haven't tried an actual steak from here yet but I have yet to have anything I didn't feel like tasted really good here yet and would recommend it if you want to try a new place! read more

Today was our daughter's birthday, so we ate at Saltgrass one of her favorite places. Our server, Mic, was attentive to our group of 7 despite being very busy. Most of us ordered the simply grilled salmon. My husband ordered the fried shrimp, and TM ordered grilled chicken. The shrimp would have been excellent if they had seasoned the batter. Otherwise, they were just plain!!! All of the sides were good as well. This was a much more pleasant experience than we had the 1st time we came. We will be coming back! read more

I made a reservation for my boyfriend and I as it was our anniversary and had wanted to try this place. The only 2 stars are for the house salad which was really the only edible thing I had, and for the manager who came over to ask how our meal was and tried to remedy the situation. When we walked in the hostess tried sitting us at a table, even though I had a reservation and had asked for a booth, but she said all the booths were taken. I then noticed one right to our left was being cleaned off, and a few minutes later she sat someone else there, I've worked in the restaurant industry and what she could have done instead was simply say "if you'd like to wait a few minutes we can get a booth for you" and acted annoyed that I even asked about it. Our server was mediocre and honestly a bit rude, don't even remember her name, she just seemed annoyed with us, and she asked my boyfriend if he wanted an appetizer and walked away while I was still scanning over the menu without asking me. The marinara sauce for the mozzarella was so bland, even after adding a ton of salt it was like plain tomato water. My steak came out and I had ordered medium, however it was more on the rare side so I asked if they could possibly cook it for just a couple minutes longer. She came back after what seemed like forever, and the steak was now charred and well done, I didn't want to wait longer so I just said it was fine and was done with it. The strawberry lemonade was also very watered down and we needed to add sweetener to make it drinkable, and the baked potato soup looked more like a regurgitated porridge. We had high hopes for a nice date night but unfortunately this place missed the mark from start to finish, and for $130 you'd expect a better quality of food and service, but we'll stick to our good old Texas Roadhouse. read more

Saltgrass Steakhouse is the best place to go. My husband and I each got the Pat's Ribeye. It is the best steak to have. It is quite flavorful. The service was good. However, in my house: -it's consistent. -it's high quality. -it's convenient. -it's delicious. -it's plentiful. Our server, Riley, was cool and calm despite being assigned the "high top bar area for people who didn't plan ahead, and didn't want wait for a regular table." The food comes out fast, but consider the fact it's made when you order it. It's normal to wait a little for a hot off the grill steak. I wouldn't change that. We were those people...we dropped in on a Saturday, no plan, busiest time of the night. High top bar area had a table. But...It was fun. Bustle. Chatter. Laughs. Life happening all around you. The food is great, better than most premier steak houses in Omaha . Salt grass is my wife and my favorite place. We like eating on the bar side. The service is great over there because of Sloan. He's an amazing young man, love that guy. Then comes along James, what a great guy. They make the dinning experience amazing.
