Hubby & I stopped in for an early supper. We were seated immediately & our drink order was taken while we perused the menu. Delicious rolls with honey butter were delivered to our table with our drinks. I ordered a 6 oz sirloin (medium) with 6 grilled shrimp. My sides were green beans & loaded baked potato. Hubby got 3 piece catfish with a side of green beans & mac n cheese. Hubby liked his food. My shrimp were good. My steak was full of gristle & impossible to cut. The manager stopped by to check on us & I told her about how bad my sirloin was. She immediately took it & brought me another one that was much more tender. I appreciated the good service. My Mom and I came for dinner on a Saturday around 5p. It wasn't too busy yet. We were seated within a couple minutes. It was a bit loud though. Waitress was attentive. Rolls came out first and they were hot and fresh. House side salads came first. They were fresh. Tasted good. Our entree's came fairly quick. I got a 8oz sirloin steak medium cook with fresh steamed vegetables(broccoli and carrots). Steak was cooked well. Veggies were still hard. Total turn off. Told the waitress and she said they're steamed in a big batch. But we told her they are not being steamed long enough. She offered to take them back to steal some more. But I didn't want to wait. As someone who is a bartender and works in the industry, I really had to leave a good review for this Texas Roadhouse. My server, Hailey was so pleasant and knowledgeable. The manager on duty was also actively walking around and checking on guests. They both were genuinely a breath of fresh air and my food was both fresh and flavorful. We were at this location this late afternoon and the food was great and server was great. The "hostess" however, was immature and rude from start to finish. I had come in and gave our name, then went to the restroom while my husband was seated. After I walked around for a bit trying to find him, I went back up front to ask. I was told to walk around to find it myself, not knowing where she decided to seat me. I reminder her that I had given her my name if she wouldn't mind checking where she put me and she proceed to point to the complete opposite side of the restaurant. I was irritated, but kept a good attitude and proceeded out again to find my table, still not knowing where she had seated my husband. After another unsuccessful attempt, I came back and she pointed to the other side, still not willing to go out of her way to take me to my table when there were three other staff at the front in addition to servers. She was equally rude as I was leaving chatting with her coworkers about the exchange, which was weird because she was incredibly unprofessional during the whole exchange. Yes, I heard every word you said, but did not respond to let you know I could hear your gossip session. Please consider you made a mistake. It's ok, but this reflects badly on not only you, but also the Texas Roadhouse company. You can be both nice and helpful when someone is merely asking where you decided to seat them. It's not a big ask. I hope you can consider maybe behaving differently in the future. read more

Came here 4 times in the last 2 months, I'm been craving steak as I'm pregnant, and I can't eat medium rare anymore, so I've been ordering medium. Everytime I have ordered a medium steak now it comes out so rare, so of course I send it back, the last time I had to send it back twice, and by the time I got it for the third time it was in multiple pieces and over done. Went today, got a rare steak again after ordering medium the waiter even said something about it being rare , sent it back, and came back with no pink, it tasted like charcoal. Texas Roadhouse is known for their steaks, why has every steak I gotten so far in the last 2 months been trash. Makes me never want to come again! The food is always good and hot, the servers always very attentive to your needs. The restaurant is always pretty clean. This location gets very busy being the only real steakhouse within about 40 miles. Be prepared to wait a little bit sometimes. read more

I ordered 2 filet medallions for me and my mother on Mother's Day and dumbly didn't check the bag before I left. When I got home to eat which is on the other side of town, neither of my steaks had the sauce that was ordered with them. I called the restaurant and spoke with a manager so that my order could be remade. When I got back to the restaurant approximately 15 mins later they only had the sauces on the side ready for me. I again spoke with a manager who was very rude and said that my food is now cold and that I wanted it remade. She reluctantly agreed then proceeded to have us wait 20 minutes for the new meals. We've been here many times. Go for the atmosphere! The servers are almost always friendly. Service times can be a little slow. No reservations. Which can mean long waits for a table. Very limited tables with chairs instead of booths. Very clean! From the entry way, to the tables, to the bathroom all very well taken care of. Rolls and butter are tasty. Blue crush lemonade is a favorite. The rest of the menu is averag e... Some items tasting like they were very mass produced. I don't get to go to Texas Roadhouse very often, but when I do, it's a treat! On this particular day, the meal started with Blooming Onions and a roll. It was delicious, but I was trying to save room for my meal. I ordered the Combo Appetizer with Buffalo Wings, Fried Pickles, and Tater Skins with a Coke Zero. It's exactly what you think it is, the McDonald's of steak houses. Back in the day there was Ponderosa and this is the modern version of it. The only good thing about it, is it's really pretty affordable compared to any real steak place. It's a huge wait to get a table and a longer wait to get your food. I've been coming to this restaurant for years and it seems to get worse every time. Today it took 45 minutes for our meal to arrive...management did give us over half off on the meal. My sirloin was full of gristle and my baked potato had 10 strips of cheddar, a half teaspoon of sour cream and bacon bits so hard you could cut glass with them. For starters, our server was super sweet - extremely attentive and insightful. My reason for the update and star drop, you ask? I get that it's a steakhouse and that establishments of this nature are not know for their healthfulness. However, it seems that they take the "dumbed down" approach to their veggie offerings. By this I mean, yes they have carrots, broccoli and green beans but they are all swimmmming in butter and salt making it difficult for anyone with healthful diet needs or on a general diet to meet those restrictions while dining here. All I'm asking for is some through and through healthy vegetables and a menu section that features the healthier options found at Texas Roadhouse. "Healthy" sounds like such an out of place word when discussing this type of business, but, hey! the other chains are doing it. Hop on board. read more

Food was standard, no complaints other than I couldn't really enjoy it due to my frustration with my pickup experience. I walked up to the window and waited for the staff to pull their faces from their phones and noticed me. It was sleeting and ~30 degrees so I knocked so I wouldn't have to stand outside longer than I had to. Even though the windows are tinted, the light was just right so I could still see them turn to me, see me, and ignore me further just to spite me. Frustrated, I walked inside and told the hostess, she said she'd speak with them. I walked back out and the girls still decided to ignore me. I finally said to them "I can see you" and they finally decided to do their jobs. The girl may as well have thrown my food at me out the window and SLAMMED the window closed. Just ridiculous. The Bloody Mary tasted like ketchup and steak sauce. Tried to order drinks with a higher quality alcohol and everything came back as a no. No substitutes, tried to order a side of bacon for the Bloody Mary and couldn't do that either. The green beans were not good and had a chemical taste. Staff wasn't very friendly either. Waitress refused to do anything extra. We were finished with dinner and talking. We had to go to keep going to the bar to order more drinks. No one ever came by to take any plates off the table. The past multiple times there has always been SOMETHING wrong with my order. If I order pick up, my steak has always way over cooked, I never get the crackers or extras with my chili. My baked potato was RAW, not under baked. It had NEVER seen the inside of an oven...RAW. We go in to eat, same issues. Steak is raw and ordered medium rare. They took it back to cook it some more and it's over cooked to the point it's leather. For being a steak house, you'd think consistency on meat temps would be a thing. My hot sides come out cold and my drinks are usually wrong. The servers are nice but lack the knowledge of the follow-up questions they should be asking. My silverware had food all over them and asked for new ones. Same thing happenes with the new silverware. My husband's salad was brought out before his meal like je wanted, but forgot my chili until my meal was brought out. The waitress went back twice to find out where my chili was because she knew ai wanted it before my meal, but it must have slipped her mind from point "a" to point "b" both times she went to get it for me. Not ever going back to this location. I've given plenty of chances to keep me as a returning customer, but I'm officially done. read more

Really really awesome ribs here. I'm talking, "I crave and dream about them" kind of ribs. Tender meat with hints of crispy well done edges and just-right BBQ sauce, seriously some of the best ribs I have ever had in this area. And of course those heavenly rolls with butter. Very hard to resist! The only negative is that when we were being led to our table, the hostess had no idea the table wasn't cleaned off yet, so we were left kind of standing in the middle of a main thoroughfare while waiting for the table to be cleared. This wasn't an isolated incident either. I observed this happening to just about every group that was brought back to be seated. They would be lingering in that area till the table was cleared. There was even a young couple with their newborn baby in the car seat just standing there in the middle of that walkway area, you could tell they were kinda uncomfortable with all the waitstaff walking around them with their trays of food. They need to figure that out! The bloomin' onion-type appetizer was good, but then the more you ate it, the more you realized what a greasy glob of onion and batter it was. It got kinda gross! Ready to leave before ever seated Came to Richmond from out-of-state and had one evening to eat out with family. Knowing Saturdays (5-20-23) are busy, we tried reserving a table for 9 in advance. Online reservations failed repeatedly, so we phoned. After the girl who answered stopped giggling with her friends, we said we wanted to reserve. She took all our info, then asked for our order. We repeated we wanted a reservation, not takeout. We were transferred, and again had to wait for the distracted reservationist to stop chatting with coworkers to bother with us. She asked is 8:45 OK? We arrived at 8:45 and per instructions texted we were here. We went inside and were soon told we couldn't wait inside. We went outside until they texted us to come inside, 20 minutes after the time they had assigned us. We went back in and were soon told we couldn't wait there and to stand across the hall, directly in front of a server station, where they had to squeeze around us. When finally seated, our party was split into 2 separate booths where we could not interact. We were not happy. Our server, Courtney, was wonderful and the only saving grace that turned around what had been a series of turn-offs. We have no complaints about the food, but don't know if it is worth the hassle you go through just to get in the door. read more

Dinner Sunday January, 21,2024 approximately 4:30 pm. Nice Greeting at host stand. Very busy but we were seated in less than 10 minutes. Corner booth by window with a slight 8 degree breeze coming through. Server was very engaging, sweet, knowledgeable of menu & products. Then the food came. I was asked to immediately cut my 12oz ribeye (hate this request) to make sure it's cooked to order. Looked to be good MR. I ok'd it. Tasted my sweet potato delicious but, barely warm. I ate it before it got too cold. About 1/2. On to my steak. Had to saw through it. Very tough. When our server returned I told her how tough the steak was. She commented that it looked tough & would replace it. I had ordered mushrooms & onions on it. She asked my husband about his dinner. That's when I noticed his ribs were Burnt to a crisp. Crust could be knocked off with the tap of a fork. She replaced his dinner as well. The food runner brought my new steak smothered in mushrooms, no onions & again instructed me to cut to check temperature. It was raw. I showed it to her but said nothing. She said looks good & left the table. I was no longer hungry so, I got a box to take home to cook. Husband's ribs came ten minutes later. They weren't burnt but, still dry. This was my third bad visit in a row to this location spanning 18 months or so. Many Roadhouse type steakhouses around us have closed in the past year or two. We're rural so I'm talking 100+ mile radius. I'm done trying them anymore. Need to train food runners to look at food before presenting to a customer & pay attention to their response or reaction. Menus were dirty as was the ladies room - very dirty. To end on a high note our server was fantastic. We spent almost $80 on an experience and meal I would value at less than $40. read more

My grandson and I have a standing date to go to Richmond Roadhouse twice a month. we have done this for over a year. The last 4 -5 times that we have eaten here. We have been disappointed. we went yesterday, we sat with bread no plates and no waiter, no drinks for over 10 minutes. when the waiter finally came we placed our drink order, appetizer and our meal. All of our order came out in a timely manor but our steaks were Luke warm, I sat my empty glass at the end of the table, the waiter took the glass never returning with a refill. After 15 minute, he came back to the table I asked for a coke, he apologized and brought the coke and our bill. we sat for 15 more minutes waiting to pay, finally handing payment to another waiter. Not sure what all is happening at this location, the steaks are not flavored as they use to be, the rolls are either cold or partially done, the salads are thrown together and the service is very shoddy! A 56 dollar meal for 2 should be better tasting, and the service should be more attentive. read more
