I'd give this location ZERO stars if I could. Foolish of me to have not read the previous reviews prior to traveling from Buffalo with the sole purpose of taking my parents to Red Lobster. Our Buffalo locations closed within the last few years so between this location and driving over the border, we chose this. Upon arrival one notices the somewhat empty parking lot so you're under the impression you'll receive prompt and attentive service. Wrong! We were told that it would be a 20 minute wait which we didn't think much of UNTIL we saw the mostly empty dining room. We were greeted shortly after arrival. Once seated, our waitress did come soon after. Due to the holiday, the endless shrimp promotional menus were not on the table but when asked, we were accommodated. That's when it really went downhill. We were made aware that the Cheddar Bay biscuits would be a 10 minute wait...we decided to order and shortly after, we received them. One of them had to wait for their sangria flight and had to ask more than once for a status check. The food is NOT what I remembered it to be. I ordered double shrimp scampi and the shrimp Alfredo and both tasted microwaved no seasoning whatsoever in the pasta and in addition to the minuscule shrimp something is missing from the scampi. I also ordered a baked potato with butter and sour cream but they were out of them so my server substituted them with mashed potatoes. We added butter and sour cream to them. From the exorbitant wait times to the food, we won't be back to this Red Lobster location. I was a bit sympathetic about the wait times due to my server as it seemed that there were only 2 of them. I had to bus our table and we were unable to fully take advantage of the endless shrimp deal due to the long waits between refills although when the initial entrees arrived, we advised what we wanted next. The restaurant is dated and unkempt. The table seated next to us was equally appalled at the level of service-they weren't given silverware and took notice of the ambiance. We no longer have a Red Lobster locally. I had an appointment in BATAVIA and decided that since it isn't too far from there I would drive the extra hour and go to Rochester. My autistic son was excited to hear that I would be bringing food back. So I placed an online order in the app and headed right there to wait in the parking lot for an alert. I decided on a family meal for the 4 of us. It SAID it was a meal for 4. We opted for the 3 different kinds of shrimp, green beans and baked potatoes for $80.00 Upon going in my daughter was advised they were out of green beans and replaced with broccoli. No problem. This order was placed around 1:30. I don't believe they opened until 11-12 but why I am saying that ...will be clear in a second. So the order was supposed to be ready at 2. Once we picked up the order and came to verify everything was all set ...we needed to get back home. We opened each container. What we got Coconut Shrimp 7 Fried Shrimp 8 Shrimp scampi cups that averaged between 5-7 shrimps in each Baked potatoes that had to have been left in the warmer overnight or were cooking on extremely high Temps for over 3 hours. The skin was very hard , they were wrinkled like raisens and brown inside. They came with no butter or anything. The biscuits were darker a couple nearly burned. There is NOTHING more frustrating than to know you traveled a distance to get food and were given such unappealing food. I placed a to go order online. I was excited to try their new menu, and see the changes they made since they changed ownership. I ordered the Crab Carbonara, to bring home to my husband. He loved Red Lobsters crab Alfredo, and was super disappointed when they stopped making it. But the Crab Carbonara sounded like the perfect solution. Ordering online was easy. I will give them that. When I came home from errands, and he saw the bag he was super excited. His smile, and the how wonderful's I am, stopped as soon as he opened it. There was not one single piece of crab, and not one single piece of bacon. All he received was a tin of garlic noodles for 30.00. We are absolutely done with red lobster. I felt robbed, it was so upsetting. I took pictures. My poor BF spent a few minutes stirring it, complete disappointment, trying to find something other than noodles. We came here for lunch for my dad's birthday, despite all the negative reviews we came for lunch and we were in and out. No waiting, everything was hot & delicious. What is happening? Even though there were plenty of very low reviews on Yelp & Google, we still gave this Red Lobster on West Ridge Rd a chance. Not certain where to start but what was once a very good restaurant chain has gone way down hill. We arrived at 6pm on a Wednesday night, the parking lot had few cars, which matched the low number of customers. We were asked to wait 5 minutes and noticed the restaurant is run down and appears to have never been renovated with plenty of wear on the carpet, tables, stains on the walls, exposed outlets at table side and rips in the bench seats. It took 10 minutes for our server to come over and 15 minute to get a simple appetizer. After an hour of waiting for our dinner and being told they didn't have an item in the menu, we left and went down the street for dinner. We will never return so (Red Lobster Mgnt) please don't respond to this review. Focus your time, energy and some money renovating that restaurant ASAP!! read more

Don't know why I keep giving this place another chance. Service at the west ridge road in Rochester location has been horrible for the past 4-5 years. Very understaffed and the can't keep employees This last visit we were seated then waited 15 minutes til someone came to get our drink order. Waited another 15 minutes til the drinks and biscuits came out (without any plates for the biscuits). Finally got the waitresses attention to get some plates, then waited another 15 minutes. She finally came back later and said that fresh biscuits were coming out and we said that we were waiting on the plates. At that point we just put on our jackets and left. Were were seated at 4:45 and left at 5:30 without even getting anything from our order or anything to eat the biscuits on. We took my mom to Red Lobster in Rochester for her birthday because she loves lobster, and unfortunately it was one of the worst dining experiences we've had. From the start, the service was off. Our waitress was impatient and rude, repeatedly rushing us to order and even saying "are you ready to order, finally?" with an attitude. When we mentioned it was my mom's birthday, there was barely any acknowledgment before she moved on. She also told us upfront she wouldn't be around much because she was working the takeout counter--which definitely showed. The food was even more disappointing. The broccoli didn't taste like broccoli at all--just overly salty and strange. The lobster was rubbery and flavorless, and the crab legs were tiny and low quality--nothing close to what you'd expect for a $50 meal. Everything tasted like it had been cooked the same way, with no freshness or care. When we brought it up, we were told the sides "don't count" because they're free, and initially offered $10 off. When we asked to speak to a manager, she was dismissive and defensive, saying $10 was fair and asked what we wanted. No apology, no ownership. To their credit, the final bill was comped--but that doesn't make up for the poor service, lack of professionalism, and very low food quality. This location has clearly gone downhill. So let me start by saying that this establishment has really gone downhill over the years. About a year ago, my husband and I walked in and immediately walked back out because it was neither clean nor adequately staffed. We gave it another chance this past Friday when celebrating a special occasion and we did have a positive experience, despite the outrageous price hikes for food that don't even contain seafood. We had a large party and we sampled 3 different appetizers - the lobster dip, calamari, and flatbread, all of which were delicious. The biscuits were so fresh and warm each time a new basket arrived at our table. Everyone loved their entrees as well and we had a little bit of everything - crab, steak, pasta, etc. The food was very good and we were pleasantly surprised by this. This weekend I went to this Red Lobster to try to give them one more chance after receiving the worst service ever back in August 2025. And they failed, once again. The only positive was that they have returned to their old recipe for clam chowder. But even so, the overpriced cup of soup I received was barely lukewarm. I waited for almost an hour and only got my drink, the soup, and some flat soggy biscuits. After asking why it was taking so long, my server looked annoyed and said there are only two servers and one cook in the kitchen. After that, I got up and walked out. I talked to the manager before I left and she said the server's ticket was only entered into the order system 20 minutes before. The Caribbean tail was pretty good, firm & Dense, but the Maine tail looked like it had already been 1/2 Eaten, literally. It was unbelievably small. I have celiac and told the waitress such. The singular-side that I ordered Was a baked potato with butter and sour cream on the side. Neither of these actually came on the side, instead they were both piled right up on top. (I did not eat the potato, which actually came 15 minutes after I ate the lobster) I am definitely one that compliments where compliments are due, but in this experience, I had to go the opposite way.. The waitress was kind enough and offered 10% off my order. I wouldn't mind spending the $50 Dollars for my lunch, had it been what I expected it to be. (Good) but it was not. I left the restaurant not only disappointed, but still very hungry. At that point, I really wish that I had just gone with my original idea of going to Chick-fil-A. We came in as a party of 6 and were told we had to wait, even though there were clearly open tables everywhere. That already threw me off. Once we finally got seated, the experience just went downhill from there. Our server barely acknowledged us. He spent more time at the bar than checking on our table. We ordered appetizers and they brought them out with the main dishes -- no explanation, no heads-up, just boom -- everything dumped on the table at once. And it took over an hour to get to that point. I had the Southwest Shrimp Bowl... and respectfully, it tasted like it had been sitting in the back all day. Cold, old, and straight-up unpleasant. I took a few bites and pushed it to the side. Now the energy? The older white woman working there had the nastiest attitude. Snatching plates from in front of people, no eye contact, no "how's the food?" -- nothing. Just rude and cold. It wasn't just us either -- the table next to us even said they had been waiting 20 minutes just to get asked what they wanted to drink. And mind you -- the place wasn't even busy. Our experience at this Red Lobster was deeply disappointing, especially considering we were there to celebrate my brother's 19th birthday. What was supposed to be a special and joyful evening turned into a stressful and upsetting situation, all because of poor service and unprofessional behavior from the staff. After waiting far too long to be seated and served, a team member named Trish brought our food to the table. When I politely told her that my 9-year-old son's food was cold, she became visibly angry and snatched the plate out of his hands so fast that she nearly hit him in the face. After so many Red Lobster locations closing we were lucky to have one kind of close so we could use up remaining gift cards. We stopped for an early lunch on a weekend trip before we headed home. This location looked a little beat up but it was the standard decorations and layout of the chain. It wasn't busy so we were seated quickly and our server brought a fresh batch of cheddar biscuits. She got us waters and took our order quickly. Our food came out very fast as well. I ordered the crab leg and lobster combo and my significant other got the shrimp 3 ways plate. The food was fine. Not bad for Red Lobster but obviously not the most amazing seafood. After we got our food we did not see our server again. It took a little while to find her so we could get a bill and to go boxes, kind of annoying. When we tried to pay one of the gift cards wouldn't scan. We were told she had to enter these like a credit card so I am not sure why she couldn't manually enter it. When I got into the car I was able to check the balance just fine. I haven't been to a red lobster in years, mostly because I'm allergic to shellfish. However, my daughter loves red lobster so we went for her birthday. Our server, Ashley, was very nice. She was doing a good job even though there were times when it seemed like she was handling too many tables on her own. Two of our three entrées came out incomplete. It probably wouldn't have been a big deal but one of the things that was missing was the crab legs which is why my daughter really wanted to go. Apparently, they had run out of them and the manager had to go all the way to Buffalo to get some more. We were able to pack some to go. The fixtures around the table were really dirty and the salt and pepper shakers were empty. I never got the sugar for my coffee. I got the fish and chips because it seems like the safest thing for me to get. It was super bland. I'm pretty sure there's no seasoning in the breading, though it was perfectly crispy. My daughter loved everything (lots!) she got except the sauce on the mashed potatoes but she was being adventurous when she ordered it. Hubbo enjoyed his food "fine enough." Went to Red Lobster for my Birthday August 9. We were sitting with the menus for about ten minutes before our waiter came over to the table. Then he took our drink orders. We waited for drinks about 10 to 13 minutes. Then he come to table and say did yall see a white card? We like NO. He like that's the card I need to put yall order in. We looking like what. So another ten minutes go by finally we get drinks. Then he take our order. 30 minutes later our food come. No lie. We were there a very long time for nothing. But we don't have everything we ordered. He like I'm sorry I should have came and told you we don't have potatoes cooked it will be twenty more minutes. I'm like dude... you can't be serious? When our food finally did come out it came out cold. My Shrimp linguini was dry and cold. Very sticky. I'm like what is this? Never got the potatoes and yet paid for the whole meal. We went there about 1:30pm. The place was not full and it was clean. I just don't understand why the service was not good. He was a young guy but it seem like he wasn't ready for work. He only had three tables. One guy that sat behind us and two ladies that sat on the side of us. Everyone was ordering the all you can eat shrimps. My meal didn't have the items on my bowl as stated on their menu. There was No quinoa that I asked the waitress to bring me . No avacado, red onion, sour cream, chip strips or dipping sauce for them and no slaw but they did put in the bowl some plain chopped cabbage! We didn't have to wait to be seated as we came at 5:00 and were seated right away. We will not be going back to red lobster again I'm sorry to say! Attempted to place an order for pickup on a Sunday around 515pm(sources and website states it closes at 10pm) the online order failed and said it couldn't connect to the store. I called the number for the store and was connected to a call center that places to go orders for you through the store. The woman assisting me told me the store was closed, when i stated the hours are until 10pm she tried connecting me directly with the store. Well, i waited for a solid 10 minutes with hold music and no ringing, then I gave up. After looking at the other reviewers here, its probably a good thing for me, or maybe the restaurant is already shut down, we'll never know read more

I purchased a gift card for my Mom for her birthday and tonight she used it for an ultimate feast order that was incomplete amongst a few other items totaling to $70. I placed the order, which came with two sides so I requested two baked potatoes. After calling 3 times after being disconnected we were able to speak with a supervisor name Jessie. She spoke with my Mother who seemed to be polite at first until I heard her mention she wasn't going to credit a $34 meal for $6 worth of potatoes. After my mom mentioned she could do better. Instead of focusing on what you will not do let's focus on a proper solution. No one implied that Jessie had to credit the entire meal however, I stepped in because I believe she could've came better than that. As my Mother mentioned "what is a meal without SIDES" nothing! I concur!!! Since Jessie felt the need to mention what she wasn't going to do I had to remind her of the inconvenience and time spent driving there and back if that's what we would've decided to do (20 mins each way), which we were not. I believe the supervisor felt as we were asking for lobster tail and more, but all we were asking was to be compensated for the inconvenience and lack there was........ The one in (Greece) Rochester, NY on route 104. Paid $50 for a very dried up overcooked, lobster was way too small, very dry overcooked garlic shrimp on a stick but salmon turned out good. My mom "treated" the 2 of us to bowls of lobster bisque to go. It was expensive but she presumed it would taste delicious. It was not good; it was lousy. No bits of lobster at all. Normally I love red lobster, but this will be the last time going to this location. I currently struggle with a eating disorder. So it's often hard me for the find something I enjoy eating so my boyfriend recommended red lobster since crab legs are normally my favorite food I only had a couple bites. I eat what I can. What upset me was that the waitress we had asked us if we wanted anything for desert. I politely said no thank u. My wife and I went there this afternoon and my wife's Lobster and Sirloin was very good. I ordered a half Salmon New Orleans with sauce on the side, and the very pleasant waitress seemed to write that down, but the dish came smothered in sauce. I told the server, the same heavy woman in a light top who seated us, about the sauce and she immediately said it wasn't written that way and asked if I would like it replaced. Having been warned years ago to never send anything back in a restaurant, I kept it and suffered through the strong sauce taste.
