Been here a couple times within the past couple months. Both times I ordered this breaded shrimp that has a spicy sweet sauce and its so good! For dessert I got the brownie with the ice cream and i love it! I have to say the last two times I've came here, the service we got was amazing. And I have to say, I'm not a tough customer to please but I expect a certain amount of service any place I spend money. I've worked in retail so I know what customers expect as far as service goes. The waiters and waitress that served us were great. I wish there were more like this at other businesses. The only thing I dont care too much for is the look of the place. Had a terrible experience. We waited two hours after they said there would be an hour wait. When they told us a table was finally available they said they had to clean it first which took another 15 minutes. They gave us 2 free appetizers but when the food arrived they got our orders wrong but we couldn't bother waiting anymore so we just left it. They forgot to give us our utensils so we waited another 10 minutes. The rice tasted a little stale and the salmon had an odd aftertaste. Overall I don't plan on returning anytime soon. read more

I'm so tired of carry out orders being wrong. This place added to that statistic. Ordered lobster tail and steak with 2 sides of lobster mashed potatoes for an additional $4.49 plus broccoli. Lobster mashed potatoes literally had (1) small piece of lobster and the other side was regular mashed potatoes???? Can't you spend 5 seconds to check if an order was right??? This is the difference in making a long day of work a good day but instead you don't care and I will think twice about ordering from ANY red lobster again. Disappointing as expected. read more

I been craving lobster lately so we decided to come here and eat. My plate was 30 dollars so I wasn't really expecting big lobster tails. But I did get my fix on. The food was very tasty but I think service could of been a little better. We kinda sat near the kitchen. We were starting to accumulate a lot of empty plates that were not cleared from our table. If it were my restaurant any staff heading back to the kitchen empty handed is really not doing their jobs. So many staff just walking by our table not even paying attention to our stack of plates that needed to be cleared from the table. But I guess you really can't expect much from chain type restaurants. Next I get my craving for seafood I'll have to head to San Fransisco to get real service and seafood and pay a few hundred dollars for dinner. Edit: So we came in here again for dinner and the service at the Salinas location is terrible. I was dying of thirst the whole time. My glass was empty even after asking for a refill. There's a reason I've not been to this Red Lobster in a few years. I'll also not return. I ordered online and was told my order would be ready at 8:22pm . I arrived at the restaurant at 8:21pm. I sat in my car and sent a text message indicating "Here" as instructed. After waiting outside for 15 minutes with my parking lights on, as instructed, I finally went into the restaurant. I was directed to the bar which is in the back of the store. A bartender asked what I wanted and I told him I was here to pick up my order. He "grunted" something. I continued to wait. - A few minutes later another man came from the kitchen and asked what I wanted. I told him I had been parked out front with my lights on, and I was here to pick up my order. He said okay, it'll be about five or ten minutes. - A few minutes later I was handed my order. - I asked "What took so long" and I could barely understand the guy. - I asked to see the manager. He came out and I told him about my long wait. He mumbled something, and I told him I couldn't understand what he was saying. He spoke softly and was wearing a mask. I took my order and walked to the front of the restaurant. I saw two women in the office, and asked whether either was the manager. I was told no, and they would get him. - A minute or two later, the same guy who was mumbling and talking softly to me came forward. I again mentioned my concern at the long wait. This man again mumbled, and spoke very softly. I finally told him, "I can't understand a word you're saying." - After he stammered "something" he finally (finally..) apologized. I said, Thank you. - I left. I live two miles from this store. My food wasn't cool or even warm when I got home. The food was cold. - The "Clam Chowder" was cold and watery and there were no clams! The shrimp I ordered as an add-on was cold. The salad, what little there was of it, was a wilted mess. I asked for no croutons; I got croutons. I asked for no silverware; I got silverware. - Management really needs to pay attention at this store. I'll never return. I will tell my friends. read more

Service was good - 5 stars for service. Food, on the other hand, could have been much better. I've been to other Red Lobster locations in the past and the food has never been as salty and oily as it was in this location. Biscuits at this location were a bit too salty. The crab linguine Alfredo was very oily/buttery. The crab tasted a bit.. How can I explain it.. Odd. It had a bit of a chlorine plasticky flavor. It just had an odd flavor that I didn't appreciate. Overall, I give this experience a 3 star. I probably won't be returning to this location ever again. read more

I normally do not travel over thirty minutes for a spot to eat, but when I saw there was a $14.99 special for a three course meal it was a done deal. A few of my friends and I went last night, we had a server named Shelby, who was AMAZING. Took really great care of her guests and I could tell she genuinely took pride in her work ethic. She was very attentive and kind. With my combo, I got a salad, shrimp scampi, and the brownie dessert it came with. The scampi was delightful, it was the perfect combo of lemon, butter and garlic. It was great. All in all 10/10 for my experience last night. read more

14904 W 119th St, Olathe KS April 16, 2021, 6:30pm I am disappointed yet again with Red Lobster. I don't know what has happened to you guys over the last few years but it certainly not for the better. Tonight was the last straw... We get to the location and was informed that there would be a 15-20 minute wait which I was okay with. However, I see FOUR waitstaff standing around on their cellphones and you are not even close to your supposed 50% capacity. Well 30 minutes later we get a table, followed by a 15 minute wait for someone to come to the table, AND when she got there she was 'less than enthusiastic' about us being there. BTW, many people walked out because of the ridiculous wait times when you had a half-empty restaurant. So, 45-minutes in and our experience already stinks. I asked about why there was not a simple house salad on your menu and I was told that "Well, we really don't have that any more. I could throw something together but it would be just like lettuce, croutons, and cheese..." I obviously declined.. Another 15 minutes goes by and we get 2 mojitos. I finished mine in about 5 pulls on the provided straw which means that my over-priced drink was at least 80% ice as was my wife's. At least the ice water was cold...On the positive side, the main courses were acceptable. The past few times we (my wife and I) have come in to RL, we have noticed that things get worse every single time and this is no longer acceptable. Lest year, I was served a lobster tail that had very obviously gone bad. The manager made it as right as she could in the moment but that isn't the point. Red Lobster has tanked since it is no longer under the Darden umbrella. We will no longer return to any Red Lobster location. Frankly, there are other choices out there that offer a better value and a better experience. Red Lobster has become a waste of my money and time. I am no longer interested in excuses. There always seems to be something and I am over it. I really hope that you find your way back to being even close to what you once were. I did not have high expectations when I found we were going to Red Lobster for dinner today. My experience in the past at other locations were less than average. Tonight's dinner was absolutely delicious! I had the ultimate feast with Lobster tail, snow crab legs, shrimp scampi and coconut shrimp. My fiancé ordered the king crab legs and everything we had was cooked to perfection!! Our waitress also provided exceptional service, I can't remember her name but she was so attentive! For our 16 person party we were seated really quick and on a long table. But the worse part was, eating your dinner in the darkness. Yes i understand that, that is their "ambience" but only the booth table are the only ones in the restaurant that has an overhead light. I couldnt even see what the hell I was eating. I would never go back to this red lobster .. vibes were completely off by the staff . The manager was polite and somewhat helpful. Our waitress was no where to be found half the time we were there & when we did get her attention she wouldn't really acknowledge us. We got an order of crab legs and they were soggy and the color of the crab was off... looks like the crab had been sitting there for a while .. spoke to the manager about the crab and we got it replaced but it was the same texture... the shell of the crab was so soft that the utensil to crack the crab open wasn't even working it would just "bend" the crab leg and no sound of cracking going on .....On the other note my steak was good but it was on the cold side....there was also other guests there complaining about their meals. Very disappointed!! Ordered take out on Mother's Day a very busy day and Red Lobster was not prepared at all. They had everyone waiting for their food for 2hrs plus even if you paid ahead. In these challenging times it's not wise to have people segregate all together in the restaurant close together no signs no tape on the floor to remind people 6ft apart. Leaving take out on the table for anyone to go up and read the name on the receipt. Just total chaos and a total mess! Management didn't seem to care one bit about anything. Low staff for help and staff yelling in people's faces. Finally after awhile I said I would like a refund and left. The whole restaurant was a health hazard and I wanted out!! Red lobster isn't really the best seafood but it's adequate and their cheddar biscuits are absolutely godly when they're fresh and hot. However this review isn't about the food. I called in to place and order and wouldn't you know, like most companies today, it's a robot asking to help you place an order. I can't stand those things because you'll say "an order of fish and chips" and it'll say "I think I heard you say 79 lobster tails. Is that correct? Press 1 if correct or 2 to repeat your order." It does give you the option to speak to a representative and that's why I'm leaving this review today. My 5 star review is based solely off of my phone conversation with MaryAnne and I hope to God I'm spelling it right but don't kill me if I'm not. She was so polite, warm and welcoming the second her beautiful voice from the heavens touched my ears. I had to stop for a second to gather myself because she caught me off guard. Very precise, spoke eloquently and sounded like your sweet auntie or gammy who was always sneaking you chocolate chip cookies before dinner or giving you half drunk Miller lites that good ol gramps couldn't finish before he passed out. Immediately I felt at home, safe and secure, as I was ordering my seafood! I ordered $150 worth of food I didn't even need or want because I knew if I stopped ordering I wouldn't be able to hear her voice anymore so I kept the orders flying! I went for lunch during "crab fest" and enjoyed a Dungeness crab meal with a couple sides and desert. It was actually a lot of food. It wasn't top of the line, but it wasn't bad at all. I finished everything except the tomato mozzarella side - I wasn't really impressed by the mozzarella. Our waiters and waitresses we usually get are always kind and attentive. My only problem was that the food has really gone downhill. I honestly used to enjoy the taste of all the dishes here and the other day I came and was disappointed with everything. We ordered the crab stuffed shrimp Rangoons only to end up biting into it and it feeling COLD. I looked at what I bit into and realized the shrimp was still grey (undercooked). After that, I got my meal and it honestly just tasted like hospital food. Not expecting a five star restaurant like a fancy Italian shop somewhere in a wealthy area but no food should taste that bland :/. Crab also tasted off (my pasta was the crab linguini) so I just ate the pasta and picked out the crab (sadly it used to be my favorite dish). I was there with a party of 7 rowdy people mostly in the 40 - 75 age range. I will tell you that the food was great, brought in a very timely manner and not bad on prices. But the real prize was "Fred" our waiter! He had a great personality and kept the jokes and comebacks flying! 3 of us had very large lunches and were not hungry, but he had no issues with our small orders and also kept the biscuits coming! At the end, he packed up our leftovers, (instead of just leaving boxes!) so that was the frosting on the cake! Solo Dinner while on the road for work. I sat at the bar and was taken care of really well. Both bartenders chatted with me which is always a nice gesture when I'm alone. The food as always was great. I'm a sucker for RL shrimp scampi. I'm not sure if there is anything better there. I always get the shrimp trio with 2 scampis and the shrimp alfredo and then I mix in some Cajun seasoning and some pico de gallo. It gives the pasta a little kick. read more
