I recently learned on kiosks teriyaki char you can add extra pineapple plus bacon and minus onions, it makes for tasty burger. Well done makes the patty taste crispy. Unseasoned, If we go here I have bring sandwich bag. My brother eats chicken or steak sandwich from what I'm recalling last time we ate in His fiancé had chicken cob salad. It goes fast. Drink selection is interesting: in house tea, juice mix and vitamin water. I decided because cupholder in car only fits regular cups to get regular only from now because I was holding cup of Large cup previously, and I would dropped it because feels too flimsy. Regular size seems more stable. Service is fast and speedy by Togo, and stay to eat. If you stay, it's well lit and very clean. Windows don't have smudges unless you put them there. Oh, Habit Burger - the kiosk ordering is a major fail. So it's the emphasis on reducing human interaction. Road travel can be challenging enough, and being treated like only a number isn't satisfying. Dear Hubby and I stopped by on a Friday evening during the long drive from Southern California to the Bay Area. He was hungrier than I was, and I struggled to find something on the lighter side that was still tasty. I had decided on the albacore tuna sandwich and splitting a side of onion rings with DH. Then the drama with the kiosk ordering system began. Onion rings weren't coming up as a choice at all. The kitchen staff (including whoever was suppose to be available to run the regular register in case someone wants to pay with cash or has questions) were all busy, busy doing their things. Their backs were to their customers, which became annoying and rude. I DID have questions, and the kiosk wasn't allowing me to order what I wanted to order. I ended up telling DH what I wanted and gave up to go to the car as I'd forgotten something in there. When I came back he was waiting to fill up our drink cups. He gave me the table number card and I found a table. He said that he did get to speak with a human after all after I'd gone outside. Surprise, surprise! When the food came, my sandwich, while tasty, was super sloppy with too much sauce. I had a hard time eating it without risking wearing part of the 'wich on my clothes. It was an unsatisfying experience on many levels. I don't blame this store, per se - I realize that it's a decision foist on them by management up the food chain. I've always respected the Habit Burger chain, but that feeling took a big hit with the fiasco at the Salinas location. I didn't feel welcome or appreciated. Removing the human connection is a big mistake for any business that requires building customer loyalty. Saving a few bucks on a real worker by installing an ordering kiosk that's not smart is not good business, in my humble opinion. Once again The Habit has scored a touchdown with my family. Today we ordered from The Habit and I can honestly say this location deserves a whole lot of award medals for the wonderful job they did making my family's order correct. I was very surprised that our food was still very warm and that is something rare with fast food being delivered through Grubhub. And this The Habit location actually got my family's burgers right on target because they actually were what my family ordered and that is a shining example of swift service. The only drawback with my family's meal was that my family didn't get enough napkins and when ordering anything from The Habit through Grubhub they should give people more napkins when they make an order. But all and all my family's burgers were tasty and I will keep ordering from this The Habit location because their food is awesome read more

The location is on the perimeter of a shopping mall. It's clean, open space and has lots of seatings. You can order at the kiosk or cashier. The order was filled fairly quickly. We had ordered a BBQ Bacon Char Meal and one BBQ Bacon Char burger for $31. The burger patties were dry. The French fries slightly undercooked. The meal was adequate, not great like the ones we've had in Fremont and Goleta. Hopefully it's just an off day for this location. read more

I have been going to Habit for a long time and it has gone down in quality, flavor, and quantity. The burgers do not have the same meat patties. They are like Burger King and McDonald's paper thin patties and have no flavor. I had a char burger lettuce wrapped and my meat got lost in the lettuce. Before the take over by the new owners the meat had flavor. The meat patties were bigger and thicker. They charge for ranch when it was free before. The prices are too high for what they are serving. I don't think I will be coming back to Habit. I can get better quality and flavorful burgers for less. Habit has lost its touch. They have ruined what it was known for. Just went to Habit on North Main, as they sent a promotional for a free double char burger for being voted best burger good until today, 07/29. Guess what that was not honored; redeemed it at the store too. She tried twice and she said it did not accept it. I ordered the potabello combo and five chicken bites thinking that the double char was in the bag, it wasn't. Did I receive my drink? NOPE!!! She didn't give the cup. One of my favorite little places for a great meal at a great price. And I love this place because it's not your typical burger joint. I love the tri tip sandwich. Almost like getting a steak dinner only half the price. And they make incredible chicken sandwiches. They are my favorite. I get the broiled chicken breast, on a sour dough toast, with the grilled onions and topped with teriyaki sauce. A meal fit for a king. Came here because I was craving their portobello burger and discovered they had a new burger called the French dip char. My husband and I decided to just get both and split it . The new burger was really good and had all the flavor profiles of a French dip, but my ONLY complaint is the burger was a tad too greasy. Don't get me wrong I LOVE a good greasy burger but this made me decide I wouldn't order it again. The portobello char is always a go to and never fails to be delicious! Ok so here's everything in a nutshell, I wanted to give 3/4 star rating I was teetering back and forth because honestly the burgers were very delicious. The chicken sandwich was so hard with no meat all breading and literally had to do a tooth check to see if everything was fine after my first bite. We had been to the one in Sand City and it was good. We were impressed however we live about a 5 walk from here and finally questioned ourselves like why haven't we decided to go eat here... we will hopefully be back for burgers but the chicken is a no for me. Also to mention the young man at the front counter taking the order was so quiet WE subsequently got our order wrong due to not being able to hear him (after saying things like "what was that? Huh? And excuse me) most of the time when ordering in a place that you "can't" have a meal with a certain sandwich they will assist you in turning a different item into the meal to be within reasonable costs instead of making us pay for additional items in confusion of not being "allowed" to make a chicken sandwich a combo. He kept laughing and giggling we were unsure why, I understand it may have been a strange question of why we couldn't make that sandwich into combination meal however it was only her second time there. And literally why can't we make my chicken sandwich into a combo LMAO but no need to worry because it's some thing I'll never order again. Went to The Habit for my hubby's birthday lunch and was greeted at the door that the computer system was down and they were only taking cash orders at this time. Who carries cash these days?? BUT........ We mentioned that it was his bday and the Manager YAYA came and said, "No Worries, I will take care of you!". YAYA and crew went above and beyond to make sure every customer was taken care of and served. This is what you call great management and great customer service! I typically love the habit when I go to the one in San jose with my family after shopping, and I was so excited to have one in Salinas since I live there. Well truth is I am not impressed with the salinas location. The chefs do not put that much love in the burgers. The first time I went there it took forever to get my food. The second time my family and I decided to order from there we ordered to go and they forgot my charburger and they messed up my son's order. I had to drive back to the restaurant. As soon as I got there I told the gal working there that they forgot my charburger and my sons sandwich was incorrect, she grabbed the small bag on the counter and said my husband's name and handed me the bag. The girl did offer to remake my sandwich, but I was already freakin mad so I declined, she had the staff make my other sandwich quick, but I was like damn..Im just hungry hurry up please as I say to myself. The girl gave me a look like yup I know I f....'d up...and I look at her like yea girl y'all hella f..'d up...lol. I'm giving 4 stars because the lack of good communication and labeling our food correctly or at all. They labeled our burgers wrong and didn't label our shakes at all. When I asked how do I know which are shakes or malts!? they simply replied with malt is just sugar there's no difference. I definitely think their workers need to be educated on the difference and to label items correctly. Overall the food is good but a little more attention to detail is needed! read more

I'm amending my review from yesterday at lunch. Yes, they forgot my four burgers, plus I realized they also forgot my salad. I went in person to the restaurant after work. Seven hours later, and no one had gotten back to me after my two emails. The manager on duty that night was so gracious and so apologetic; she was not happy with my experience. She bent over backwards to make everything right for me. I got a complete refund and food too! I give her ten stars!!!! The reason I did not put five stars on this amended review is that the lunch crew really did blow it. So I have to take that into account. - For some reason I wasn't aware that we had a Habit Burger in town, let alone that one was open..! - I learned about it when I read a post someone put on Facebook. - I arrived around 5pm and there was two or three customers inside. I ordered the "Double-Char Burger" with cheese, fries and a Strawberry shake. (Due to the "virus" inside seating was not allowed.) - A few minutes later my order was handed to me, and I came home, a short drive away, to eat. The burger was huge with two patties, lettuce, tomato, onions, mayonnaise and pickles. The fries were still hot, and perfectly cooked. - The taste of the burger was great!
