Forgetting that Mother's Day was a holiday so the shrimp deal wasn't available. I didn't mind that so much but the flavors included in the shrimp deal aren't on the menu so you cannot order them. And another crazy thing is you can order 4 types of shrimp which is similar to all you can eat deal. The weather outside was cold 40s. And they had the AC going full blast. It was about 6pm and usually it's more active at lunch even on Mother's Day. Being short handed isn't an excuse for the experience we had. Rarely saw the server and she kept getting my drink wrong. Took my 97 year old mom to eat at her favorite place which now it is her least favorite place. Food took an hour and we almost left because of the delay. Filet mignon medium rare arrived as an over cooked piece of something other than filet mignon. Mom's seafood boil was overcooked. Waiter had the meat redone and this took another 20 minutes. When it arrived it was super salty. We did receive a 20% discount- but it was an overall terrible experience except for the caring waiter who served us. My name is Johnny Hunter 2 months ago I posted about one of the best experiences I've had at red lobster. This time was the opposite the food was over cooked and missing certain parts of the meal, the biscuits were in crumbs and not fully cooked. The young lady was combative and accused me of something that wasn't true, I will not be going to the Sandusky Red Lobster again at least for a long time. I understand that sometimes they don't get it right but the customer, especially a very good customer should be treated better than I was treated. Super slow service, one wait staff brought biscuits that were undercooked, then we wait for 15 min to get drink and appetizer ordered. When crab queso arrived the chips were soggy and cold, you could literally fold the chips in half and watch grease drip out. We ordered when the appetizer arrived so didn't know about the chips for a minute... we didn't see the waiitress again until she came with the entrees, we told her about the chips . She picked up the appetizer and said do you want me to take it off.. never refilled our drinks . When bill came the appetizer was still on there . When I asked her to take it off she didn't apologize for forgetting... now mind you there were only about 8 other tables in the whole restaurant... Shame on us for thinking that the manager and server were smart enough to understand the technology of the Red Lobster app. We had a reward for an appetizer. We ordered the appetizer. The app clearly said once the server had the code then I could close it and it would disappear. The server did not write down the code correctly and it disappeared. She then did not understand where the code went and why I could not retrieve it. The manager charged us $13.79 for the appetizer that we would have never ordered unless we had a reward. Haven't been to the Sandusky area in a long while, so it was nice to see this area busy and full of good restaurants and shopping. I decided to go to Red Lobster as it has been awhile since I have gone to one. It was really good, but a messy fun experience. I had the 1lb snow crab legs with fries, caesar salad, and a Mountain Dew. I should have brought like kitchen scissors for the crab legs because you can't eat them just with the "knuckle cracker" since you miss some of the meat due to how challenging it is to get the meat out. The crab was delicious, though! And the bread; how could I forget the bread - So good! The service, for the most part, was good, but the server seemed like she was in a hurry to get us out the door. Came to restaurant for lunch on Wednesday 7/12. My son and I sat down at the bar to order food and drinks. We were told that someone would be right over to take our order. 25 minutes later nobody had bothered to even acknowledge our existence. We would have left sooner but there was an exciting tennis match on the bar's 24 inch 1994 model TV. Come on,,, be better! A couple sitting in a booth nearby commented to us as we walked by them on way out the door that they waited 20 minutes to be seated, 10 minutes after seating for order to be taken and 20 minutes after order was taken to get their food. Perhaps more workers should be scheduled or hired. Wages may need to be increased to entice more help. If you can't service the customers then close up shop and let a better restaurant take over the building. read more

No stars here, took over an hour for food to arrive, when it was ready the manger walked by our table with food took it to another table 10 mins later they brought that food back to us. It was all cold then they served it to us and the manager mysteriously disappeared with no explanation, had to ask our server to send her over. Susie who by the way is an excellent server she gets 8 stars!Told the manager that I did want any thing remade to make up for it didn't have another hour to wait, still waiting on bacon cheeseburger that was ordered 2 hours ago. We waited at the host desk while the two hosts argued for 2-3 minutes about staff availability. Then we were seated in the most crowded little room at a dirty table, while there were several empty booths in the main room. After 5 minutes, my husband went to host desk to see if there was another table for us but nobody was at the desk for at least 3-4 minutes. At that point, we decided to leave because my husband said "there's something wrong here". This place has really gone down hill. We had a group of 8 and some struggled to find something to order that they actually had. Out of burgers(kids), out of popcorn shrimp, out of some of the linguine. Salmon nope. Finally found something for everyone. Food came out and they had the be the smallest baked potatoes I have seen served in a restaurant. Literally the size of a tennis ball. Decided to go with the all you can eat soup and salad and biscuits. Our waitress was very nice until she got our "cheap" order! Then we hardly saw her again because she was catering to the "more expensive" orders! We love their clam chowder which was lukewarm, Caesar salad was good though. The biggest disappointment of all were our favorite garlic butter biscuits!! Yeah right - not our day - you couldn't even smell garlic but when we told the server, she said, "oh, they just didn't put enough garlic butter on them" which she thought should have made everything okay?!? Always have a great experience at this location! Servers are always spot on even during shrimpfest (all you can eat shrimp) and my husband keeps them moving. His record is 450 shrimp ‍! Kids and I end up watching him eat!!! No he isn't 509 lbs ‍! Sandusky is our hometown and we moved away but if we are going eating at a RL me make it a point to drive to this location! Of course once in a blue moon things go wrong but the manager always makes a point to make it right! Recently went and had a "newer" server that needed some coaching and hardly had to say a word to the manager and he had it taken care of! Love this place. Very disappointed! I called in a carry out order and as I got to the restaurant the waiter was checking off that everything was there... I noticed that the side of potato wedges had 3 very small wedges. When I asked, she said that was all that was in the carry out orders???!!! Upon arriving home we found that ALL of our food had much smaller portions than that of our previous orders that were eaten at the restaurant. Not that big of a deal but we had planned on splitting meals based on our previous experience and were not able to do that. The prices certainly do not reflect the smaller portions... I ordered Ardichoke lobster dip to go with my Entree. When I picked up my order I saw chips and assumed my dip was there as well. Why would I have chips and no dip. I called and the GM Joshua Casper told me I could not have my dip or my money back. He would not even let me bring the meal back. He said I signed the reciept and that was basically it! I spent $45.77 in your restaurant. Redl Lobster has basically stolen $9.99 from me. Also the GM made me feel as if I was lying about the incident because he said, " Mam, I don't even have an Ardichoke dip in my kitchen". So what would that say to you? Why would I have chips in my bag if I didn't order dip? He even said that made no sense! When I called them I hadn't even made it home yet. What would it have hurt Joshua Casper to say Mam come back and get your dip but next time just know you need to really make sure everything is there. I don't work there. Against my better judgement I allowed my Son to talk me into eating here. He had clam chowder and shrimp pasta. He said the soup tasted a little funny and the next morning had vomiting and diarrhea. I had the king crab legs that were small and mushy. They were extremely difficult to open and tasted fishy. I had the roasted golden potatoes and squash for a side. I didn't even eat the sides. Awful, too much pepper and the squash was bland. Husband had fried seafood admirals platter that was under cooked.
