My wife and I visited here. Many of their lunch combos are a good value for the money and are reasonably priced.

We had an awful dining experience there recently. They did okay through sitting us down and taking orders. We had 8 people in our party, and 7 people were fed promptly. The servers who showed up to drop off the food had no idea--none, whatsoever--who ordered what, forcing us to switch our meals back and forth many times. Good thing the diners did not mind this. The last meal did not come out for a good 10 minutes after the first 7 did. Someone asked the 8th person "what did you order that stymied them so?" It was a salad with grilled fish on top of it. The waitress, who totally did not seem to care that one item was missing completely until we flagged her down to ask, eventually said that the salad took so long because "they had to wait for the fish." The fish itself was overcooked the point of tasting like pink rubber. I suspect they just forgot about it totally, and then panicked and overcooked the fish. I am not going there again. read more

Went to Red Lobster with a party of nine to celebrate a birthday. Establishment was very helpful and accommodating and service was good. Two servers were available to take orders and they did a good job with drinks and entrees. The problem was with the quality of some entrees. I had a shrimp three ways entree with fried, popcorn, and scampi, baked potato and Caesar salad. The shrimp was not good - none of the three different types were good. The scampi, which has been on their menu forever and is usually fine but maybe a little greasy with all the butter, but this time the shrimp just tasted off. The fried shrimp tasted like it was old or maybe in the freezer too long - the breading was kind of separating from the shrimp. The popcorn shrimp was especially bad - I'm not even sure it was shrimp. The pieces were all different sizes, some were like little balls, and others were longer and curved, and some were just like a nugget. They all tasted different - some were very fishy and other tasted just like fried breading. They were too nasty to finish. One of our party was also unhappy with the coconut shrimp and scallops dish - the scallops were dried out and the shrimp just didn't taste good. Another had a sirloin and grilled shrimp combo. The steak was cooked properly but very tough. He said the grilled shrimp was actually good. So overall the service and establishment would get good marks, but the quality of many food items was inconsistent, especially things that you would think were easy to do correctly like shrimp scampi, popcorn / fried shrimp. Makes me question the quality of these specific food items or the prep methods. read more

There weren't good smell in the place , there were wasps around even in this cold weather. The service was ok but the food didn't taste half good and was quite pricy. Definitely wont come back. read more

Like any chain food restaurant, you know generally know what you're getting yourself into. The food is decent, the customer service is good. Overall, a decent place and recommend if you want some seafood that's a few stars above Long John Silvers but won't break your wallet. read more

This seafood restaurant is the best in all of state college one of the best restaurants overall in state college, the servers are nice and check in on you often but aren't clingy the food my take a while but the food is worth the wait. The servers also don't force desert down your throat they also work well as a team and dont make second trips and they will serve all your food at once read more

Can always get quality food. I like family owned joints because there's always something 'extra' in the feel of it. But I love Red Lobster and their seafood. Its never done wrong. read more

We visited this Red Lobster and enjoyed the new renovation, the service and the food was wonderful. The best part of our visit was our amazing waitress. She was upbeat, attentive, and just downright charming. She smiled often and worked hard at making sure we were satisfied with our meal and her service. She seemed to work very well with her other team members and could be seen clearing and helping others when she wasn't busy with her own tables. She absolutely shined! Our food was delicious, the price was right, but mostly the staff was well trained and positive. Kudos to the managerial staff for hiring employees that definitely make them look good! We will come back again and again (as long as we can have Marie wait on us!) read more

Restaurant wasn't busy but we stood and waited to be seated for 5 mins while 3 people decided what empty table to seat us at. Then it took 10 minutes for a unpleasant waitress to actually ask us if we were ready to order, after she told us she need a few minutes and then stood and wiped down a bar that no one was sitting at. She was in such a hurry, she didn't even have time to listen to what we were ordering. I guess that should have been a good indicator to leave as her service only went down hill from there. The only good point the whole meal was the food was okay and the young lady who brought out our food was very pleasant (Shannon). Stay away if Lakwan is your server. read more

My friends and I went there Saturday at 7:20, told there will be a 35 minutes wait, so we got drinks from the bar. The bartender glared at us the entire time we had our drinks (tiny drinks for an average of $8.00 a piece). We weren't sure why we were being glared. We showed our id's and it wasn't for for the lack of tipping either. When we were finally seated (around 8:30pm), we ordered and waited a forty minute minutes for our food to arrive (9:15). One of my friends had to leave because she had a bus to catch. We told the manager, who told us that the food was already prepared for but wouldn't be able to pack it in time for her to catch the bus, which annoyed me to no end. By the time our food arrived, we were full from waiting. I will not come back to Red Lobster again. This was a really disappointing experience, I would suggest calling ahead to book for a table, avoid the bar and be ready to wait wait wait wait wait. Actually, I would suggest eating anywhere else. For the lack of service, the mediocre food and the price, State College can do better. read more

Attended Red Lobster in State College for Crabfest 2 weeks ago, for Crab Lover's Dream and Wild-Caught Snow Crab & Seafood Bake. Dinner was nice, our crab was a little cold but still well cooked. Our waiter was very polite and friendly. The downside was an hour after dinner my boyfriend and I started to feel itchy and unconformable around our ankles and feet. We had been bitten by several fleas while dining. I had called 2 days after our dinner to inform the manager of flea issue and he took my personal information, I have not heard anything in reply and will not be returning to this location due to flea issue. read more

If I could do zero stars I would. First this is not a reflection on my waitress, she was smiling. Even though I could tell she was having a bad day. The silverware was filthy. I asked the greeter to get me cleaner.. She made an excuse and showed me even grosser silverware. I promptly went into the bathroom to clean it. The food portion was way small for the price. Absolutely wonderful!! I can't begin to say how pleased and impressed we were with every aspect of our visit. I had called a day earlier to get some questions answered before planning this as the place for a special meal with our son and his new bride. It was just a small party of 6 people for a late Friday afternoon meal after their marriage ceremony. I spoke with the manager ,Matt, who was very helpful and friendly. Upon arriving the next day, we were greeted by a couple of the staff who showed us to a lovely table area set up especially for us. White linen table cover , bouquet of roses and a card for the new couple signed by the staff. This was a complete but wonderful surprise for all of us. The manager came to check on things and congratulate the new couple. Our waiter was wonderful. Great personality and on top of things throughout the entire meal. He even helped us get a couple family photos at our table. Couldn't have asked for a nicer waiter. All of our meals and appetizers were delicious and cooked perfectly. They were served in a very timely manner. As we were preparing to leave, the manager and several staff again expressed their congratulations and well wishes. Everyone, especially the newlyweds, were extremely pleased with the wonderful meal and entire experience. The management and staff went above and beyond our expectations in setting up a beautiful place for us to celebrate a very special day. Fabulous job, Matt and your staff! My boyfriend and I recently chose Red Lobster for Valentine's Day! As to be expected, everyone else did, too! We waited for quite awhile for our table to be greeted by an excellent waiter who asked how long we waited, we told him 40 minutes but it was fine because we expected to on the holiday! He assured us that we was going to get us our food out right away! He did just that. We had our food in about 15 minutes, it was perfect and so was the entire experience! WE went to Red Lobster tonight for dinner. We both ordered endless shrimp. Yet again its gone up in price. It's now $17.99 per person and a soft drink/tea is $2.45 so its about $20 per person after you add taxes. It took us forever to get our salad and drink and we gave our order at the same time because we already knew what we wanted. Took almost an hour to get our food. We were never asked if we wanted more biscuits and took an even longer time to reorder shrimp once we had our dinners. The brussels sprouts were tiny, over cooked and had a burnt taste to them. Ate one set them aside. Shrimp Scampi was cold with no butter sauce, waiter almost threw mine at me because the darn plate was so hot. Now how do you get such a burning hot plate with cold shrimp scampi. Very disappointed and the server really needs to get her act together if she is making tips to support herself. My husband left a very generous tip ( I wouldn't have) and we left there and decided enough is enough and we won't be returning. Last year was just as bad but this year we had to pay $1.00 for less of a selection. read more
