To start off one you enter the establishment's doors you immediately feel unwelcome and unwanted by the blonde haired man at the front. It took them about 15 minutes to seat us. We were not the only large party of 7 there, there was another party of about 6 and three more parties of 3 that looked like they had been waiting for a good while anyways I took a peek and saw there were multiple tables that were clean and person less and when I mean multiple I meant everyone that was waiting could have been seated and still be more seats available. On to the ordering, the waitress wasn't really friendly she got our drink order wrong and then when we ordered our entries she had to come back and ask what we wanted for the sides. The food was actually good compared to the one in Bakersfield the only downside to it was they ran out of oysters but no biggy. All the food came out at once nothing was too salty. read more

Worst experience we've had, party of 4. First of all we had to wait in the front for a while. one lady did come to the front but just told us "someone will be with you shortly" then left. Once we sat down the waitress took our drink order I ordered lemonade, she came back later and said the lemonade wasn't ready. Next she took our meal order, we ordered cheese sticks and asked for ranch dressing, we got it after the cheese sticks were gone. My husband and I ordered Clam Chowder, it was cold. The biscuits were raw. My grandson ordered the Sailors Platter the waitress came back and said they didn't have bisque soup. we told her that was not what he ordered so we had to wait til she got his order right. He ended up asking for a box and took his meal home because the rest of us were done eating. While we were waiting my husband asked for a Budweiser, waitress came back and said they were out of Budweiser. During this entire time no one came by to see if we needed anything, we had to ask another waitress that was passing by for biscuits that were fully cooked, the second batch was raw also. needless to say having been on the road for 5 hours tired and hungry this was not a very good experience. By the way, we were there at 11:30, restaurant opens at 11:00 not very many customers no need for them to be out of lemonade and beer and the food not up to standard. Brought my Dad here for his birthday, immediately walking in we were greeted by the manager which is a big plus for me, beer on tap sucked they only had two to select from, but my Bahama Momma was great. My main entre I had the rice pilaf, green beans with salmon topped with lobster meat sauce. My salmon was disappointing very small not with much flavor, my mom had the lobster bake the lobster was good but she did not like the soggy potatoes , my dad ordered the ultimate feast he enjoyed.(WILL HAVE PICS @END) overall experience was ok the wait was a bit long for our appetizers and main entrees. It's no "Boiling Crab" or "Hot n Juicy", but can't complain too much they provided great service and my food was hot. This was by far going to be one of the worst experiences I have had from a restaurant through Uber Eats. However, the lovely manager working tonight changed my one star to a solid 5 stars!! We had originally order our meal through Uber Eats, and it took about 1.5 hours to get to us (We live like 12 mins away). Once we received our order it was cold and we were missing half our order. Eventually we came to find out that it was of no fault of the restaurant but that our delivery driver ended up taking half our food (makes sense why it took so long). When we called to complain about our food and service, the manager was beyond sweet enough to offer us any help she could think of. In the end we got our entire order remade and even got a few extras as a sweet surprise. Thank you to everyone who took their time to get our order together, was definitely one of the best meals I've had while visiting Visalia. Overall we will definitely be returning BECAUSE of the wonderful customer service from the manager!! She's a blessing to this place for sure! read more

I come here once a year when my hubby and I are in town visiting family and we have gone here for his birthday for the past 3 years. There's usually a wait to be seated; this year, I was surprised that even on a Monday night our group of 7 had to wait 25-30 minutes. Our waiter was friendly, kinda quiet. He provided more than enough of those delicious cheddar biscuits all night and quickly refilled our baskets even before they were completely empty! The only complaint I have is that he gave us a different drink than what we ordered and later told us "well, if I had actually looked at the drink, I would've noticed it was wrong!" :/ My in-laws who have come here more often than me recommend Penny as a waitress! She's very friendly, funny, and attentive. Unfortunately this time they seated us outside of her usual section. I really enjoyed the lobster bake (a bit pricey) or the sirloin and garlic shrimp combo. I usually love shrimp scampi but I feel like the shrimps they give you for that dish are pretty small and just drowning in butter. We arrived around 6 pm. It was already crowded inside, but we didn't need to wait. The food arrived within 15 minutes after we ordered it. While waiting, we enjoyed garlic salty biscuit. Food that my friend ordered was missing two items; aspergus and fried shrimps. So we let them know, and they brought them later. Food was nice, although foods look quite different from the pictures on their web site. I wish they could improve a little bit more on their house salad. Their salad mainly consists of iceberg lettuce, grape tomatoes, shredded carrots and cabbage, and some croutons. I think it's off balance in relation to the quality of thier entrées. We arrived on the earlier side for a Friday night dinner based on our past experience with waiting. We walked in and the host was extremely friendly and seated us right away. Once seated, the waitress came over quickly and took our order. She was friendly and helpful. I wish I would have gotten her name to give her a shout out. While we waited for our food she brought us fresh bread. The food came out quickly. It was accurate and hot. Once we started eating the food was delicious! Throughout our meal a few different people, including our waitress, checked in refilling our drinks, taking plates and bringing us fresh bread and more shrimp. The manager even checked in with us. Every single associate was kind, friendly and helpful beyond the average server. Our dinner was one of the more positive experiences we've had in the last several months, even compared to a very high end local restaurant we visited a few weeks prior. I'm giving this two stars because of the overall customer service experience. We waited for over an hour for a table when we were told it would be less than 20 minutes. We were seated another 20 minutes before our drink order was taken. They brought bread out but took another 20 minutes before we got our drinks. Our appetizers came out and it took 10 minutes before they brought napkins or silverware to use with the appetizers. The 2 stars is for the food. It was fine. I'm so bummed to write this review :( First off let me say that I have always been Red Lobsters biggest fan , Like I seriously dream of their Shrimp scampi! Unfortunately this particular time my family and I went was not a pleasant experience( just food wise) . We all ordered the endless shrimp like we always do, now if your a Red Lobster shrimp scampi freak like me then you better believe that one would definitely be able to tell if something has changed. The waitress was a total sweetie and so was the manager , so no complaints there. Anywho, immediately you could tell there was a difference from what it usually tastes like. The shrimp was a little tough but not horrible ..... but the butter sauce was so off! The flavor in the first plate tasted very blan like something was missing but also left a weird after taste. Yes, I continued on to the second dish( They bring out two at a time) I didn't even finish that plate because I started to feel gross. I figured ok maybe it was just me, but both of my boys said there was something off and my husband as well. I asked the waitress for another round of shrimp, just incase we happened to get a bad batch. She brought me another plate and I took one piece put it in my mouth and instantly their was a bad taste and horrific smell of like dirty dish water or like wet dog smell so I immediately spit it out! I told the waitress about the issue and she got her manager. My husband asked the manger if they could make a new batch and bring it out? She came back with another little dish and the same problem I had to spit it out again! My son tasted it and spat his out as well. You have to understand when we normally go for endless shrimp I usually inhale like 6 plates of shrimp and I seriously only got through 1 & 1/2 (plates) I don't believe it was the shrimp because my son and husband also got the Walt's shrimp which tasted fine, it was only the scampi which leads me to think it is the butter sauce that was bad. The manager apologized and said they had , had no complaints the whole day and that they had went through a whole batch already. So this must have been a new batch they just opened of sauce( we went around 5ish pm). The manager comped my meal even though I didn't ask for a refund, so that was very nice of her, but like I said I am so bummed because it literally left a bad taste in my mouth and made me feel nauseous. I just hope I don't get sick. I really do love Red Lobster so hopefully in the later future I will feel brave enough to give it a chance again and hopefully it will be a much more pleasant experience. read more

Under staffed and apparently an unexperienced kitchen given the delay in getting our food brought to the table at one time. I have gone to red lobster before and it was fine but last not it was not good. I know it is a chain, but the food was not great. I had a group dinner and spent 500 bucks and the best thing we got was probably the mozzarella sticks. The lobster was rubbery and every thing was bland. I had the lobster and sirloin steak combination. The steak wasnt seasoned. We had muscles that were ok and some mushrooms that again werent great. Everything just seamed it needed seasoning or prepared better. The server was good. He handled the big group fine and kept our drinks full. Unfortunately, this was not our experience. We are from out of town and staying in a hotel, and ordered a salmon family meal with baked potatoes and rice for pick up. The food itself was good, which is typical of a chain, but what made it A GREAT EXPERIENCE tonight was our server, Nikki. She took great care of our group. She was as patient with the two year old as she was with the 89 year old. It was a typical Saturday dinner crowd, and she obviously had her hands full with so many tables, but she never lost her smile, and never made us feel like we had to rush the occasion. The bacon wrapped scallops were a generous size, but the bacon was not cooked to crispy. Asked for the peppercorn seasoning on the steak... didn't get it. I really wanted to have a decent dinner with my family but was sadly disappointed with the overall experience and will not return. The place doesn't make a nice first impression when it smells like rancid fish. First, it took at least ten minutes for the server to even show up. Then, our drinks took even longer. We ordered our drinks and entrees all at once, so I supposed that may have held them up? I received my Caesar salad, which was wilted, overdressed, and not edible. It was truly ridiculous, then we received our meals and became even more disappointed. I ordered the rock lobster, and it was gross! Definitely not worth $30, it must have been previously frozen, it was tough on the edges and the center seemed undercooked and smelled fishy! I did my best to make the most of it, drowning my lobster in melted butter, which by the way, was served in a small to go plastic container that had been microwaved. Really? After waiting a long while for a box and the check, I had to get out of my seat and ask the hostess for help. I remember when this restaurant opened. It was around my middle daughters 12th birthday. She was always a shrimp eater and for her birthday she wanted to go to Red Lobster on opening night. We went in around 5pm or 6pm and put our name on the list. We were seated around midnight....that is how busy they were. Then...even at midnight the food was very good, I remember the service being a little messed up with long shifts and lots of people. A lot has changed since opening night. The biggest change is the food. Not so good anymore. The coconut shrimp was way over-cooked. Clam chowder was just okay, they should have awesome clam chowder, but it is average. The fish and chips were not that great. The waitress proudly exclaimed the fish and chips were made with haddock......I'll take cod or halibut. The drinks were watered down. The service was average...nothing spectacular. Just a so so lunch. read more
