I have heard about this place forever! Finally went in while we were walking downtown. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The inside is absolutely adorable. Completely decked out in popeye and the interior of the building looks almost brand new.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I never would have expthe inside to look so nice, from standing outside lol. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The bathrooms were very clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They have an order yourself kiosk as well as a regular register. The cashier/cook(?) was very helpful and pleasant. There was two small glitches with the fries. My husband ordered a #3 Double Wimpy combo. He added mozzarella sticks and upgraded to large. From the order kiosk, to the back of house ticket, the fries got cancelled out from the order. So he received zero fries. The cashier said it was an issue with the new POS system. So brought his fries out asap. My issue with the fries, the kiosk gives you options if you want no seasoning, extra seasoning, or extra crispy fries. I selected extra crispy and they came out regular with super extra seasoning. I love seasoning but I couldn't even finish 1/4 of the bag. I ordered the sailor burger combo and it was delicious. The roll held together perfectly and the veggies were absolutely fresh and had a nice crispness to them. All in all it was a great meal and I look forward to going back soon!

What can I say? The picture really does speak for itself. Great service, super helpful staff, and the food was absolutely delicious. Definitely worth stopping by, even if you're just passing through town.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]The vibes in here are so nostalgic it reminds me of my parents.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have popeye playing on the tv so something silly to watch.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The napkin drawings are a fun touch to look at while you're waiting for your order.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They also have a lot of fun burger combinations you can't try. The burgers were also juicy and delicious.

Really delicious burgers, quality ingredients, apologies the pictures were not the best as we were hungry! The service was fast and great place to grab and enjoy in a park or anywhere your heart desires. Excellent place and love the homage to the character from the old Popeye's cartoon! We'll be back!

Well wasn't a good. Ichthyosis was so excited for deep fried mushrooms and they were so over cooked almost burnt very disappointing, our fries were cold. The burger was good.

Not impressed at all. We ordered BBQ wings they barely had any sauce on them. The burgers were ok no flavor. The lettuce on the burgers was not fresh. I give it a 1 star it's not a place that I'm going to want to go back again not worth the $42.

The Double Bruto burger #4 was nothing short of amazing! The fries were *chefs kiss* perfect. The parties were perfectly cooked and were so so juicy. The flavor literally melts into your taste buds. It's like a vintage burger joint. Located on a one way street on Court St. in between Main St and Acequia Ave, parking is a little difficult so if you find a spot take it quick! Walking distance from the Convention Center so that's a big W. My total came out to $17.16 so be prepared to spend a pretty penny if you want a large combo (worth it). I will definitely be coming back when I'm in the Visalia area again. 10/10! P.S. open a Wimpys in L.A. please lol.

I've always enjoyed the Tulare Wimpy's, and decided why not try the Visalia location. I tried something new this time around, just a patty melt. I mean, I have no complaints and would have 5 starred this review has it not been for the fries. I remember Wimpy's fries being packed with flavor and for some reason these just disappointed. Other than that, the melt itself was great. Flavor in every bite, and I added sautéed onions, that was what took it to astronomical levels. I'd definitely recommend the melt, and will probably return. Thanks Wimpy's.

I was satisfied.

We stopped in on a Sunday afternoon and grabbed seats at the bar. Sam was our server and was fantastic, friendly, attentive, and very knowledgeable about the menu. Her recommendations were spot on. The food absolutely did not disappoint. I ordered the Grilled Chicken Taco Salad, and it was enormous! The tortilla shell was so crispy and well-made that it actually held up for leftovers the next day. The jalapeño ranch had the perfect amount of heat and flavor. We also tried the Drunken Chicken Sandwich. Sam recommended getting it breaded, and I'm glad we listened. The homemade breadcrumb coating was light, crispy, and flavorful without being overly thick or salty. For appetizers, we shared the Fried Pork Belly Bites, which were paired with a delicious coleslaw and a sweet Korean-style BBQ sauce, and the Deviled Eggs, which were AMAZING. They came prepared three different ways, making it fun to try each variation. Honestly, I couldn't pick a favorite. Their beer selection was impressive, and I was especially excited to find Crow & Wolf's Dark Wolf Seltzer on tap, one of my favorites and not something you see everywhere. The restaurant was clean, comfortable, and had plenty of character. Even the ladies' restroom had quirky, fun artwork that added a unique touch to the atmosphere. The size and amount of tv's was impressive. If you're looking for a relaxed vibe, great drinks, exceptional service, and food that delivers, I highly recommend checking this place out. We'll definitely be back.

I ordered the French Dip, which should be a slam dunk for a pub-style spot, but it lacked the basic execution that makes that sandwich great. The Main Event: French Dip * The Bread: This was the biggest disappointment. It wasn't toasted, grilled, or even brushed with a little butter. It felt like an afterthought, leaving the texture of the sandwich completely uninspired. * The Meat: The tri-tip was sliced thin and seemed okay, though it had that "pre-cooked this morning" vibe rather than being fresh off the block. * The Au Jus: A French Dip lives and dies by the dip. Unfortunately, this was essentially bland beef broth--watery and lacking any deep, salty, or beefy complexity. The Silver Lining The meal wasn't a total wash, thanks to the sides. The fries arrived piping hot, crispy, and seasoned well. Paired with a side of their ranch, they were easily the best part of the plate. Final Verdict: If you're going for the atmosphere and a cold beer, it's a win. But if you're craving a high-quality sandwich, you might want to look elsewhere until they step up their bread game.

The fried rice was so good. My toddler and son devoured their serving plus we had so much extra to take home. Definitely worth your money. My oldest son had the smash burger and he loved it. He said the cheesiness of it along with the freshness of the meat made it a great combo. And the potato wedges were original. The tacos... I cannot say it enough...worth every penny.!! She shrimp taco was on the pricier side as well as the ribeye taco. BUT it was authentic and so much flavor. The ribeye was cooked just right! So tender along with the homemade tortillas, such a skill. The sauces were just the final toping that it needed. The food here tastes so authentic and special. The ambiance was good, there was plenty of seating and they did have a bathroom. Which is such a lifesaver if you go with kids. Our bill did come out to a bit over $100, considering we also got a Jarritos, a Coca Cola bottle and a regular drink. However it was worth it.! Specially when you still have food to take home for dinner. We did get lucky with parking and we were able to get a spot right out front, however if you go on a busy day, it'll be quite the walk. But that's the whole point of eating down town, to enjoy with area and have good food.

The fish is light and flaky in a crispy golden batter with pickled red onions, aguacate salsa and crema. I went with the Juju Bleu, Calamity Jane, and Betsy Ross. I'll admit, I'm usually not a fan of bleu cheese, so I'm not sure why I picked the Juju Bleu--but I'm glad I did. It was surprisingly delicious. The Betsy Ross was solid and classic, with Thousand Island sauce--tasty, though nothing particularly standout. The Calamity Jane was the clear winner for me; the combination of sautéed onions, barbecue sauce, and mushrooms was absolutely spot-on. We also upgraded our side to clam chowder. It had great flavor, though it was a bit thicker than I prefer--not a dealbreaker by any means. Service really made the experience shine. Paula was phenomenal--attentive, friendly, and quick to check in on us and keep everything running smoothly. Overall, this is a great spot for lunch with friends or coworkers. Since it's right on Main Street, parking can be a bit tricky, so I'd recommend using a nearby public lot and taking a short walk over.
