After living with and dealing with a possible leak in our pool for nearly eight years I finally made a call to Red Rhino, and wow am I glad did. On the day of the appointment and on time, David and his "new hire" assistant arrived and quickly went to work with a myriad of tools and testing equipment. After drilling four small holes in the concrete and carefully listening, they found one leak and found the skimmer had a temporary fix from long ago, which was also leaking. With the leak found, within days Adrian arrived and made the repairs. And those repairs are solid. I went from putting in 100 gallons a day, due to the leak, to not having to put any water in. Imagine the energy savings, as we are on a well and have an R.O. system...which uses a lot of electricity to make the water. Great jobs guys! I have only one negative to report. When the pool light was removed during the inspection, the light bulb broke. Someone, from another company, came the next day to get the light bulb type and number...BUT I haven't seen them since. Pool leak crack repair. We had the pool crack repaired while we were gone but they kept us up to date on what they did. I did have a question that was regarding our water features. I wrote on the weekend and got an quick response back from Ryan who had done the repair and had taken pictures of our pool pump set up. Terrible company to do business with. The employees have no respect for your property and could care less about fixing the actual problem. My pool was left in complete disarray and when I asked to see the old sheer descent that they replaced they said it was back at the shop even though they told me previously they were going to leave it at my house so I could see it. Also, after checking my cameras I saw that their employee Carl was launching at my table with his feet up. I understand mistakes happen but just ignoring me and not fixing the issue only makes matters worse. I will have no choice but to seek legal action for damages to my property. Great communication, friendly, and prompt was my first impression. I knew going into this repair that I had a significant leak. Dustin was very knowledgeable and found two major leaks. One at a skimmer and one behind my light. He patched them temporarily to save me from losing more water and had a quote ready for me for the proper repair. My pool was cloudy so he could not check the bottom drain. But offered to come back for free once I got the water clear to check this area. The discovery, patch, and quote all in 1-1/2 hours. I paid $350. Money well spent! 24 hours later and my water level has maintained. I HIGHLY recommend. Coincidentally, my father had called Red Rhino for his repair a few weeks ago and also had Dustin. He had the same great experience. My dad can fix anything but is now 82 and he just didn't want to tackle the pool. So he is hyper critical on how things should be done. Total scammers. Recommended $3500 worth of repairs for an issue that is widely known to be fixed with silicone or a rubber plug stopper. Don't hire these guys- they'll surely find a massive repair that is completely unnecessary. When i asked for alternatives- which i KNOW exist at 1/20 of their quoted price- I was told they won't do that. I was told this company is the one to call to find out if you have a pool leak.... I was in the middle of buying a house with a pool and the inspector recommended that I get a pool leak inspection. My realtor and I did some research and Red Rhino was recommended several times... I called and made an appointment that later I had to reschedule twice but Cheryl was super sweet, professional, and happy to reschedule. The day of the leak inspection arrived and Kody called me about 45 minutes prior to the appointment to let me know they were on their way. Kody and Paul arrived at the location, introduced themselves, and explained every aspect of the inspection (why they did each test, what they were looking for, and what the results were). They both answered every single question I and my realtor had in great detail. Both these guys are knowledgeable and it was obvious they both enjoy what they do for a living. The bottom line to my review is a leak detection test/inspection is not only to be done when you suspect a leak but also to protect an investment. These guys tested the inside of my pool for any leaks (they actually got into pool see pictures attached), they checked for leaks and faulty equipment, they even checked the pressure to everything under the ground to make sure there were no leaks. I'm glad they found only a super minor leak on a valve on the equipment (a super cheap thing to fix). I can't imagine having bought a home with a pool and then finding out that it has a major leak that will cost a few thousand to fix...
