    Ube Overload Slice
    Cecilia M.

Response to business manager: the three stars reflect my interaction and opinion of the products.. my experience was not perfect, but it was not horrible. The ube mamon was good. Cake slice was just okay. I expressed disappointment about the ube drinks not being available even though they are still advertised on the menu.

Red Ribbon is a Filipino bakery chain and I can confirm that it is consistently good no matter where you are! This particular one like many others is located inside a seafood city which is an Asian grocery store. When you walk in you are surrounded by baked treats carefully packaged and displayed on open shelves. You have the option to pick between a few different flavors and add on to any meal of your choice. Red Ribbon also has a small kitchen where you can order noodles (pancit palabok), empanadas, and some other savory items. I recommend trying a lunch combo which comes with noodles, a slice of cake, and your choice of soda. The service in this particular Red Ribbon was very good and although they seemed understaffed they handled the customer rush very well.

Red Ribbon Bakeshops are always associated with 'Sea Food Cities'. They are located inside of the stores or next to the shopping mall style of locations. Venue: Often designed with a separate entrance, almost all of the cakes are openly displayed and promoted. The 'ube' cakes are emphasized and promoted. Other items are less promoted but equally good. Favorites: While we like the ube products, my favorite cake is the "Mango Cake". My personal favorite combo is the "Arroz Caldo" with a slice of Mango cake added as dessert. The Soup is infused with shredded chicken, and the carefully packaged piece of Mango topped cake is very very nice. Light and not too sweet. The Halo Halo is deluxe !! Cakes: Whole cakes, now a days are expensive, and becoming harder to find. But you can find them here and pre-order as needed. Some limited 'writing' is possible. Like 'Happy Birthday'. So be sure to ask. High class operation with some unique products. We will keep going back.

Be careful ordering cakes from red ribbon. I ordered 2 cakes on the 25th and I asked when is the expiration date. The girl said it expires the 30th. When I was about to serve it to my family, my daughter noticed that the cake was all messed up. Then we tried it and it was so dry. I guess they sold us an old cake or damaged cake. If you order from a different bakery I don't think they will sell cake that looks like this. I was just too trusting to think that Red Ribbon wont sell you damaged cakes or cakes that doesnt even pass standards thats why I didn't bother checking it. Lesson learned.

Came from LA to Vegas for few days, I was craving for Red Ribbon and we went to Eastern location, bought the 35 dollars deals consist of - palabok (yummy my favorite), 3 chicken empanada and 3 slices of cakes, bought extra pandesal, asked my husband to wait as I need to buy stuff at seafood city, as soon as we got to the placed we're staying, we got palabok and chocolate roll, huh!!!! What happen to my empanadas and those slices of cakes, VERY, VERY Disappointed, It RUINED My DINNER, so pissed lesson learn, check your order before you leave

Cheaply prepared palabok, not enough sauce!

But the mango sticky rice was the star of the show. The sticky rice is delish and reminds me of Biko, a Filipino sticky rice dessert. It was warm and yummy. It would be great if there was more mango. The beef tartare was very good (the bread with it was a highlight) The Foie Gras was incredible. The blueberry balsamic demi-glace really enhanced the flavor of the Foie Gras. I would go back just for this. The Beef Wellington was done perfectly. It's my new favorite in town (much prefer this to Hell's Kitchen) The Ribeye Nightmare is topped with green chilis and cheese. All of the flavors worked really well together with just the right amount of spice. Really unique dish. The drinks were excellent also and we finished the meal with the Carrot Cake which was delightful. Looking forward to coming back and trying more of the menu.

We ordered the Ube Cake online, and the slice hit the spot perfectly. The cake looked beautiful - nice tall layers of soft, moist purple ube sponge cake with thick white cream filling, a creamy yellow custard-style center, and finished with whipped cream on top. The ube flavor was well-balanced: that signature nutty, earthy sweetness without being overly sweet. I've had great home-cooked Filipino ube desserts before. While this is clearly a fusion bakery version, it still captured the comforting, celebratory vibe that ube brings to Filipino tables. It reminded me of the festive sweets you'd find at family gatherings or parties back in my wifes home country. The online ordering was convenient, but the pickup instructions could have been better. The pickup area is on the same side as the drink pickup, which caused a little confusion during a busy time. Service was otherwise fast and friendly, the bakery was clean and well-stocked, and prices are reasonable for the portion size. If you're in the Henderson/Las Vegas area and looking for a quick ube fix or any of their other Asian- and Filipino-inspired pastries, this spot is worth a stop. The ube cake was definitely the highlight for me. Would definitely grab another slice next time I'm craving something purple and delicious!

God, there was so much and I loved the experience but it was so much food, next time my bougie self needs restraint. First of all, the lychee green tea was delicious, I could drink a gallon of it; it was the right amount of sweetness with that tea aftertaste. Second, the panini and scones were my favorite overall from the tiers. I got the tomato mozzarella panini and it was toasty with spinach and pesto, I need to get another one. Third, the scones were to die for. They weren't heavy or like overly dense that you choke; the outside was buttery, crunchy, with the inside soft and full of fruit bits. It went so well with the cream and jam. I felt the other desserts on the tier weren't as wowing compared to the scones and panini; the cake in the shape of a cheese wedge is cute, but flavor profile was kind of lacking. There was just too much mousse going on that the cake inside was just mush; maybe if there was like blueberry crumble or something crunchy inside, it'd be more interesting. And the outside shell is definitely too sweet and thick, I think a glaze would have done as well, but that's just my thought. Although the presentation of some of the pastries in display were really nice, quality of pastries was average tasting. Service first time was great. The 2 gentleman working the counter were really pleasant and had a warm demeanor. Came back on my own the next week ordered a plain ice green tea. Unbeknownst to me It came sweet and asked to see if it could be remade. The tea barista said that I didn't ask for it to be unsweetened. I Mention I wasn't aware iced green tea was sweetened (otherwise i would have). She remade it but, was visibly annoyed, and kept telling me the next time to order to ask for no sweetener and all their drinks were sweetened. I already mentioned twice that I wasn't aware that it was sweetened. Interaction was a little uncomfortable as I felt tea barista kept implying fault on me based on an assumption that I should have known. On a hospitality note... a simple "yes all drink including plain ice teas do come sweetened, sorry you weren't made aware, happy to remake it" would have made a better experience. It's just a misunderstanding. Possible have staff prompt guest on sweetness level can also alleviate misunderstanding.
