    Ube Overload Slice
    Cecilia M.

Response to business manager: the three stars reflect my interaction and opinion of the products.. my experience was not perfect, but it was not horrible. The ube mamon was good. Cake slice was just okay. I expressed disappointment about the ube drinks not being available even though they are still advertised on the menu.

Red Ribbon is a Filipino bakery chain and I can confirm that it is consistently good no matter where you are! This particular one like many others is located inside a seafood city which is an Asian grocery store. When you walk in you are surrounded by baked treats carefully packaged and displayed on open shelves. You have the option to pick between a few different flavors and add on to any meal of your choice. Red Ribbon also has a small kitchen where you can order noodles (pancit palabok), empanadas, and some other savory items. I recommend trying a lunch combo which comes with noodles, a slice of cake, and your choice of soda. The service in this particular Red Ribbon was very good and although they seemed understaffed they handled the customer rush very well.

Red Ribbon Bakeshops are always associated with 'Sea Food Cities'. They are located inside of the stores or next to the shopping mall style of locations. Venue: Often designed with a separate entrance, almost all of the cakes are openly displayed and promoted. The 'ube' cakes are emphasized and promoted. Other items are less promoted but equally good. Favorites: While we like the ube products, my favorite cake is the "Mango Cake". My personal favorite combo is the "Arroz Caldo" with a slice of Mango cake added as dessert. The Soup is infused with shredded chicken, and the carefully packaged piece of Mango topped cake is very very nice. Light and not too sweet. The Halo Halo is deluxe !! Cakes: Whole cakes, now a days are expensive, and becoming harder to find. But you can find them here and pre-order as needed. Some limited 'writing' is possible. Like 'Happy Birthday'. So be sure to ask. High class operation with some unique products. We will keep going back.

Be careful ordering cakes from red ribbon. I ordered 2 cakes on the 25th and I asked when is the expiration date. The girl said it expires the 30th. When I was about to serve it to my family, my daughter noticed that the cake was all messed up. Then we tried it and it was so dry. I guess they sold us an old cake or damaged cake. If you order from a different bakery I don't think they will sell cake that looks like this. I was just too trusting to think that Red Ribbon wont sell you damaged cakes or cakes that doesnt even pass standards thats why I didn't bother checking it. Lesson learned.

My favorite was definitely the cheese rolls! They reminded me so much of Port's cheese rolls, which brought back memories for me. Yelp! review #20 of 2026 Online order April 04…read more I stopped by the 85°C Bakery Cafe in Henderson (673 N Stephanie St) to pick up a birthday cake for a friend, and it also served a dual purpose for a class assignment on experiencing Filipino food. We ordered the Ube Cake online, and the slice hit the spot perfectly. The cake looked beautiful - nice tall layers of soft, moist purple ube sponge cake with thick white cream filling, a creamy yellow custard-style center, and finished with whipped cream on top. The ube flavor was well-balanced: that signature nutty, earthy sweetness without being overly sweet. I've had great home-cooked Filipino ube desserts before. While this is clearly a fusion bakery version, it still captured the comforting, celebratory vibe that ube brings to Filipino tables. It reminded me of the festive sweets you'd find at family gatherings or parties back in my wifes home country. The online ordering was convenient, but the pickup instructions could have been better. The pickup area is on the same side as the drink pickup, which caused a little confusion during a busy time. Service was otherwise fast and friendly, the bakery was clean and well-stocked, and prices are reasonable for the portion size. If you're in the Henderson/Las Vegas area and looking for a quick ube fix or any of their other Asian- and Filipino-inspired pastries, this spot is worth a stop. The ube cake was definitely the highlight for me. Would definitely grab another slice next time I'm craving something purple and delicious!

I love this place! It has never disappointed me!…read more The pastries, the food, the service, and the ambiance are exceptional! I love the galette, the crepes, and I could just keep going... I also love all the locations! Sad they closed the one at Lake Las Vegas but I understand. I bring all my friends while they visit and they're also very pleased! Although they've expanded, I wouldn't be shocked if there was a wait. Don't worry, it's worth it!

CREPES, COFFEE AND MORE…read more.. I went to this French cafe over a week ago to try to get a crepe to go. It was not overly busy. It's very casual and easy to order at the counter and go. Think again. I got through the line quickly. Placed my order and watched everyone around me receive their food, dine and leave within 30 minutes all while I was still standing at the front waiting for 1 gluten free crepe with fruit. There was a sign up front that asked guests to be prepared to wait longer times so I really tried to be patient. I waited. After 40 minutes still standing up front I still had no crepe. I asked the cashier if she remembered me and she said my order would be ready momentarily. I took a closer look at the order and noticed that the gluten free crepe was buckwheat batter of which when I ordered they didn't make mention of this. Due to my allergies and sensitivity I had to wait again to speak with someone else who appeared to be managing, perhaps the owner. He claimed they make their own batter and brought out the bag of buckwheat flour. Then read on google the ingredients. I really thought a gluten free crepe was mainly made of alternative flour such as coconut flour--not here. I also pulled up this information however I did not want to take a risk. He told the cashier at the counter to issue me a refund and he turned back around to make more coffee orders. I overall felt like I had wasted my time here. I used to take my kids here and haven't been here since they remodeled and expanded. I was by myself and really just wanted something to eat but was not offered anything else. That part upset me the most. Then my refund took a week long. Really thought the refund should have been immediately. The cafe is really cute! I love the decor and feel in here but just really disappointed in this whole experience and not the best quality of customer service. Located on Horizon Ridge Parkway in Green Valley.

I told her I didn't quite have any concepts, but told her my Irish grandfather loved sports, all sports Kansas City, he ran track and just let her run with it. Im writing this review because I watched my sisters utter disappointment and anguish hours before…read moreher wedding after Darlene sent her a picture of what could only be described as a "bowler hat" of a wedding cake. Lindsay, my sister, sent me pictures months ago showing me what she wanted and those pictures were sent to Darlene. Very simple, no frills, black, flat top, chocolate cake with smooth sides. Ive seen the pictures on her site,so I know she could do this. If she couldn't, she shouldve done a practice run and at least given Lindsay more than a few hours notice before dropping a bomb on what should be the happiest day of someones life. This is so insanely unprofessional! Honestly, a refund is not even enough for doing that to someone on their wedding day! I spent the day before the wedding calling every single bakery in Las Vegas, willing to pay double to get her something to be able to cut with her husband on her happy day and it was too short of notice. Not only did Darlene not apologize, she tried to pass off a bulbous, over decorated cake that looked absolutely NOTHING like the picture, saying "here's your gorgeous cake". When Lindsay expressed that it wasnt even remotely close to what they discussed, she took no accountability, offered no solution and simply said, "it can't be changed, sweetheart". Upon further conversations, she said she would "try" to make something else. At $350 for flour and sugar, it should look exactly like the picture. It honestly probably took more work to make what she presented than what Lindsay actually wanted. As a small business owner myself, I know mistakes happen, but I also know the importance of customer service, making things right and taking accountability. Word to the wise, maybe do a test run first to ensure your wedding day isn't ruined if you choose to work with Darlene.
