Long story short, This review is strictly based off the service i JUST received. (I'm still on hold as we speak). I have been on hold a this place for 12 minutes now. I called earlier n the exact same thing happened n i hung up: thought I'd try again but for the same thing. The guy even accidentally switched over to the line i was on n said oh whoops n then hung up: Iv never been so frustrated. I'm hanging up now n going to wing stop for some wings this place is ridiculous lately. I'll be back in a few months to give em some time to get their sh!t together. read more

I have a memory a long time ago of this place being delicious. But today, it was really just average. The plus side - the service was great and the appetizers or "bites" were yummy (the best part of the meal) and not $9-$10 which some places do and I kind of hate. Let's just say I was drooling after driving home with Red Rocks food in my car! Their pick up was so slick and ordering was a breeze! The discount they were running also made their food even better! We had a mix of pizza, salads, burgers and of course fries! Never disappointed eating red rock!! read more

We stopped by here on a whim and are so pleased with the choice. The service and food was excellent. We started the meal splitting the super food salad, it was fabulous! Greens topped with delicious beets, blueberries, creamy goat cheese, pistachios, and a great vinaigrette. The best plate we ordered was the sweet potato cannelloni, the waiter recommended that I add chicken which was good but really, unless you must have a protein, the dish stands on its own very well and is not missing a thing. My husband had the New York steak with was also flavorful accompanied by horseradish mash potatoes, all very good. I will definitely be coming back! read more

I have been going to the Red Rock Brewery in downtown, so I'm able to differentiate some of the items on the menu. I was surprised their avocado toast has only one at this location at the mall. And the turkey burger seemed plain (the only two items I was able to compare). Both restaurants have delicious saladas and appetizers; their entrees are very good too. Even though this place wasn't as a good as the one in DT, I am giving it 5 starts because of the customer service. Dave (my server) was outstanding! We will come back to give it another try! This joint has a reputation for one of the best breweries in town. Tell ya what it does not disappoint! I finished w/ a 25 years (maybe an anniversary?not sure) Belgium style quad which was rich w/flavors of cherry jam and malty awesomeness. At 10 bucks it's such a steal! Besides the beer two things stood out... 1- The Food- even the Mozzarella still we're made in house. And the sauce was let's say boss. 2- The Hospitality- if this is any inkling of what SLC has to offer all I can say is Dang! & If Micheal happens to be behind the bar sit on down and let him do what he does. Been hearing about Red Rock for a while and been wanting to go. Felt a little rushed by the waiter so I just jumped and chose the cod fish and chips. They were good. I was able to compare the halibut to the cod and honestly was glad I got the cod! It was much more moist and delicious than the halibut. The batter was great, very flavorful perfectly crispy. The fries are good too, I like the spiral type of fries. Their tarter sauce was really tasty, was the perfect complement to the fish. I'll have to try other options, my only reason for doing four stars was the waiter was pretty abrasive. He was just a little pushy and kept coming back. He said the chicken schnitzel wasn't good so if you come I would stay away from that. You know it's bad when the wait staff says it isn't good. read more

The Red Rock burger was good but for $12 I am looking for way above average. The side French onion soup was very flavorful and not too salty. The pepperoni pizza was good but not above average. We attended a paint night at Red Rock and were able to enjoy some drinks and appetizers. The waffle sweet potato fries and the onion rings were great for finger food during painting...however some of the onion rings were as big as donuts. Great flavor and very filling. Called early for a group of 12 was told to come half hour early. More than an hour later they sat us. The restaurant was nearly empty. The hostess and host were very rude and we're not worried what so ever about our wait or the potential $$ we were spending. The restaurant was not busy. If they knew they couldn't accommodate us I wish they told me when I called earlier. The food was not good, lettuce was yellow and old in salads. Went in for brunch on a Sunday. There were plenty of empty tables however, it took some time to get seated as they figured out where to place us. Plenty of variety on the menu as they not only offer the full menu but a select few brunch type options. My hubby got the eggs in purgatory while I got the goat cheese salad. It was all delicious. The two things that we were the best for me were fried pickle chips and the spicy ranch they came with. I also enjoyed the bottle service of mimosas. We were able to control the ratios and enjoyed a peaceful, leisurely afternoon while enjoying our meal + beverages. We just discovered this gem a few months ago. Now it is one of our favorite places to eat. The fish and chips are the best I've had. They're made with halibut and are not greasy at all. My husband had a delicious salad last time. The staff is very efficient and cheerful. The only drawback is it is noisy with the high open ceiling. But that will not keep us from going back. The sandwich was very good and cooked to the proper doneness. The onion rings were okay but not the best I've had. They didn't have much flavor. My wife had their Mac and Cheese and a house salad with a cream soda to drink. The mac and cheese was the best I've had at any restaurant. The cream soda is also house made and very tasty. The dressing on the salad was superb. My father in-law had the Cuban sandwich. It was one of the best we have had. It was good not great. Could have just been a day no worries we will give them another go sometime. They brew their own root beer and cream soda it's one of the fun things about this place however they had no root beer and the cream soda was flat and watered down. Not a good look for a brewery. Food on the other hand was better than the drinks. We had the Mac and cheese with jalapeño it was very nice. Also the 1/2 Cobb salad it was a good Cobb. Honestly the cobbler dessert was probably the best part of the meal. Maybe hit this up for a bar vibe and dessert but not so much for dinner. Good for a quick lunch. read more

For entrees, we ordered the barbecue turkey burger and the crab stack salad. The burger was juicy. Asked for a side of BBQ sauce to dip it in though because I love BBQ sauce on burgers. The sauce was good and had some heat. The salad was interesting, a bed of arugula with mango, tomatoes, onion topped with avocado, crab and peanuts with an Italian vinaigrette dressing. There was not a lot of crab, but enough to get the flavor. It was pretty good. I'd order again. Overall, fast and attentive service. We would come back. read more

I don't give many 5 star reviews but this is one, and it's for the service. We waited an extra 15/20 minutes just to get our regular server (nearly an hour total). Rachel R. (Not Rachel with purple hair. Im sure she's great, but the other Rachel is our choice server. She knows the food, the beer and aspires to brew beer one day. That's something I can get behind.). I help run a few well known bars around town, so I love my drink. And my bars carry Red Rock products. One of my best sellers is Elephino. The food and beer is good, my only ding would be it's attached to the mall and kid friendly. I like the Red Rock downtown, it's closer to where I live and less children but we go out of our way for the knowledgeable service. A table when we finally got seated had a kid throwing pizza and the people were trying to haggle the price of the meal. It's not a garage sale, who does that? Their food was good they just wanted a discount. So they are broken humans. I got a discount, and guess how I got it, I checked in on Yelp. And don't get me wrong - it's not that I mind children, I just do not appreciate parents that let their kids run rampant, scream and cause chaos when I'm trying to enjoy my dinner and drink (A family section is a thought). I had the mussels and and a few Golden Halo Blonde Ale beers as a starter. A great beer for a big meal. For my main course I had the New York strip with horseradish mashed potatoes. Everything was great. I did not eat the squash but that's because my mom had a squash garden when I was a kid and put the stuff in every meal so I vowed to never eat squash again when I grew up. But that's a different story. My friend enjoyed her meal as well, but I'm not her so I won't review it other than the theft of one of her curly fries. They're interesting, in a good way, a cross between a French fry and a potato chip. I liked it. Between the beer and the meals, I have yet to make it to their dessert menu, but one day I'll try. If you enjoy beer, and want a guru to take care of you I'd suggest Rachel as your server. She offered one of the new sour beers, but that's not my thing. But she also recommended a beer around October fest that was right up my ally... a smoked bacon beer. Hopefully it returns. Lastly which I'll add to the tip section as well. Let's start with a good: Great selection of beers and a variety of food to choose from. Unfortunately the food is somewhat listless prepared and lacks flavor. The real bummer is the service. You just cannot go wrong with their Halibut fish & chips! The best I have had in the US! I have been to this location multiple times and have never been disappointed in the food or service. Tonight I ventured beyond my standard fish & chips (the best ever by the way) and we had calimari for an appetizer, which was good.
