Nomad is one of my favorite restaurants in Utah, so I was really excited to visit this location in Daybreak! The new location is beautiful, clean, and minimalist modern. Service was great, and our server was friendly and fast and also had great food suggestions. We (group of 4) got the garlic cheese curds, the small family salad, a BBQ Burger, the hot honey pepperoni pizza, the Betty white pizza, the children of the corn pizza, and a couple drinks. I loved the garlic cheese curds, the family salad, and I liked the children of the corn pizza though it seemed really topping heavy compared to when I had it last. I think I'd opt for a different pizza or maybe a sandwich next time. Prices were super reasonable for the quality of food and service. I'll be back! read more

At an event In daybreak so we decided to give this place a try. It was so hot but they have air on the garage place to sit but I would ask to sit inside on a very hot day. The food was just ok not the best we ordered a pepperoni pizza and fish and chips. I also had the wedge salad. First the wedge salad. It was good but not the best I have had. There was not much blue cheese for my taste. The pizza was also just ok. The fish very good and light and crispy but the tartar sauce was not what I expected. Man, we finally tried the new Nomad in Daybreak at the bees field. Great location and the spot is super cool and very clean. Service could be better. I'm sure they are still getting a handle on things. But, drinks are the driving factor in restaurants, keep them flowing. Food is great, lots of favs from the old location. I asked to split the homemade chips and they said no and the old spot always did that for me. I'd say flexibly is not happening with the menus. No tap beer, yet. Had a pretty good experience at Nomad Eatery. The food wasn't the best I've had, but it was still decent. The restaurant itself was clean and had a nice, minimalistic atmosphere. This place was great, I can't wait to come back and enjoy the patio in the summertime! It's located right inside Uinta Brewery. We tried the mango lime pilsner, very good, I'd never tried the mango version and liked it! We started with the garlic Parmesan cheese curds and they were SO good! I'm so glad this restaurant opened in Downtown Daybreak. The hummus is out of this world, homemade with lots of fresh mint, parsley and pickled red onion and a generous sprinkling of za'atar. The smoked salmon salad was delicious and the smoking is done in house. Everything on the menu is locally sourced. It's known for its pizzas but don't stop there. Went in last night with a group of ten. Connor was our server and he killed it. Gave us great recommendations included the cheese curds, and the children of the corn pizza. The food was great we started with the cheese curds which were delicious though I would have preferred the sauce on the side as I think it made the crispy cheese curds less crispy. Next we had the white bbq wings. They were served with a creamy almost Caesar salad dressing sauce. They were good. We had the salmon salad. It was also good. We got a toffee sticky pudding to go and it was to die for. I was a bit confused by the graham crackers in top. They seemed like a a second thought and unnecessary as they were presented. But the pudding itself was 10 out if 10 Service was friendly but a bit chaotic. There were lots of wait staff and it wasn't crazy crowded but they seemed slow. read more

Went there for lunch and the food was really good. Ordered the smoked turkey sandwich, but they were out of the smoked turkey (it was 11:45am‍). Ended up having the pork belly tacos and they were pretty tasty. Our server recommended the fries to go with it, but I think the chips or salad would've been a better choice. One of my friends ordered an apple beer and didn't like it and so only had a sip of it. Our server offered her another drink, but she said she would just drink water. I split the tab with someone else in our party and so I didn't notice until I got home that we were charged $17 for the non alcoholic apple beer, which they listed on the tab as a margarita. Seemed a little high and so that's why the 4 stars instead of 5. Very nice restaurant and the service was good. read more

We visited the newly opened Daybreak location. Thankfully we decided to stay after a not great experience being seated, but I'll start with the food because that was the strong point. While we went intending to try the pizza we actually ended up getting the club sandwich and the fish and chips. Both were solid choices we would get again. The cod in the fish in chips was tender and had a nice crispy batter finish. Tons of fries, tasty fry sauce. Sandwich was really good-- loved the pickled zucchini on it, and it was nicely toasted. Our server was good and cheerful. The downside was an unpleasant experience being welcomed and seated, and concerns with cleanliness. When we arrived the hostess seemed super unhappy to be there. Barely acknowledged us, asked if it was just two and then started walking with menus. She just seemed very sullen and grumpy. She took us to a tiny table right by a large family up against a wall in a big but not very full area so we asked if we could choose another table. There were tons of empty table options in the room, but when we started looking closer many of them needed to be bussed and/or cleaned. It was a little scary messy. We pointed to one that had no dishes and looked the least dirty and asked if that one would be ok. The hostess just acted so annoyed-- didn't say a word just stood there. So, we walked to that one, but when we got there it was also dirty--food crumbs on the table and the chairs. Even then, she didn't offer to find a different, clean table elsewhere, or clean that one. She just stood there and said nothing, so I grabbed napkins and wiped it down while she watched until I was done and then she put our menus down and walked away clearly annoyed. My husband almost walked out due to worries about cleanliness and what felt like an "I could care less" attitude from the hostess. I realize there probably is some strategy to seating to balance it for the servers, but we were still in the same area, there were only two other groups in the room, and we just preferred not being at the smallest table by a wall and large group when there were were many other unoccupied tables by the windows. A while later we saw someone bring the hostess back and show her tables she could help clean and she just looked so angry and put out. Thankfully our server was cheerful and helpful, and the food was good and came quickly. And, while we were eating another employee came and started clearing tables, but I'm not sure how thorough it was. Perhaps they are working to train and hire enough staff, so we will give space for that as they work out the hiccups, but the cleanliness at our particular non-peak time of day was worrisome. Then when we left the same hostess pretty much glared at us as we walked out. Never quite had an experience like that and didn't feel we were being rude or asking some something unreasonable. Our server was at the desk working on transactions when we were leaving and she did look up and cheerfully thanked us and wished us a good rest of the day. so that was appreciated. So, my overall recommendations to management would be making sure tables are well cleaned and coaching the first person who greets you that their attitude and demeanor matter. We will go back, and hopefully have an overall better experience with cleanliness and feeling welcomed in. read more

Nomad Eatery is inside Uintah Brewery, which is a bar, and is their food arm of the establishment. This review is just for the food not the bar. We met some friends here for dinner prior to going out for some entertainment. You order at the bar and they give you a number so that they can bring your food to you. Then they suggest a 20% tip. Not sure why I paid 20% with no server. However the cashier was very friendly and they did check up on us to insure the food was good. The menu is a little limited, but everything we had was good. I ordered the wedge salad which was excellent with lots of toppings including onion straws. Very good. 5/5 Wings with Korean bbq sauce. The wings were cooked to perfection, well done, a little crispy, but still delicious and full of flavor. The Korean sauce was good but no kick at all. 5/5 My wife ordered the Turkey, Bacon sandwich that was highly recommended by the cashier. It was good but not as good as they raved about. 4/5. Newest Nomad fan. I visited Nomad Eatery with my mom earlier this week. We both have been wanting to try it and we finally found time when we could go. The ambience reminds me of what you would expect at a ski lodge. Super friendly people and a casual environment. The music was also what you would expect at a ski lodge, which is something I really like. I ordered the Smoked Turkey Sandwich with BBQ chips. The chips are made in-house and they are crazy good. This place is really good. Didn't have any beer but did have a burger and their spicy chicken sandwich. Both were awesome! Highly recommend. Their cherry limeade seltzer was also very good. Nomad eatery inside uintah brewing company is spacious and airy inside. Food is good. We tried their Parmesan red pepper jelly cheese curds, fish and chips and a turkey club. They have an interesting yet fantastic spin on these items. Washed it down with a uintah clear daze ipa and a uintah mule. Today I met my friend and her family at Nomad for lunch. We chose Nomad because the restaurant met her nutritional needs as a clean eater and her young children (2 and 4) could eat as well. Though there wasn't a kids menu they both loved the pizza and fries. Even she, the clean eater, had to taste these delicious, crispy fries. I myself, LOVE beets and Nomad made the introduction of beets to her and her children SO easy as they were so good! The chicken sandwich was pretty spicy even for her husband who loves spicy foods, but he ate the whole thing. The signature cocktails we drank were well made and delicious though we were surprised the bartender did not know how to make an, Old Fashion. (It's Utah?) Belly full, heart glad. read more

Located just minutes from the SLC airport, this somewhat hidden gem serves up some unexpectedly tasty dishes. I've been here twice now. From what I've tasted, the chicken sandwich is my favorite (that's why it's the most popular item, right?) The chicken is so tender and the batter is fried perfectly with the right amount of graininess. The only thing lacking would be more hot sauce and condiments. But overall, I like it more than Pretty Bird. Nomad's sandwich is more savory whereas Pretty Bird's is sweeter and tangier. A close second is the pizza. I had the Margherita and it was absolutely wonderful. I loved the flavors of the fresh ingredients accompanied by the crispy crust. There are also some oils and balsamic vinaigrette by the utensils that would go well with them too. I've also had a few other bites that I enjoyed. The white citrus BBQ wings are glorious. It doesn't feel heavy but it's packed with flavors that leaves you wanting more. I might just go during lunch and order a big plate of those. The fries are also great - some of the best fries around. I've sampled the salmon salad as well, and the combination of the ingredients with the thousand island dressing makes for a filling yet light meal. Takeaway? All of their dishes are great, it doesn't seem like there's a miss. This is definitely a restaurant worth trying. read more
