I've been going to Roosters for about 4 months and have gone every Thursday for karaoke. The staff and regulars are friendly and the drink specials are great. Honestly? Staff is great and friendly, snack food is good, atmosphere is fantastic. Their prices are good and they help out Designated Drivers. If you're looking to chill or party, Rooster's is the place to be. Karaoke pretty much every day. Kickass bingo on Sundays. Good and strong drinks every day. AND they have a pretty killer happy hour with a draft pint and wings for $8. I live up the street, but this spot is worth checking out if you're in the pflugerville/Austin area. I recommend this place for a great casual relaxed day, first time here, beer is good (cold, clean glasses) and they have a full bar. Staff went out of their way to make sure customers were happy. Referring to my original post 4/30/2017: An employee at Red Rooster's illegally changed my tip amount. All I was seeking was the reimbursement of the fraudulent amount, not the entire sale. When the restaurant would not issue a refund, I contacted my credit card company to place a freeze on the charge. Between Red Rooster's and the credit card company there *could* have been a double credit, but that did NOT stay on my account and I was only credited the overage ONCE. I was NOT trying to get a reimbursement twice like I am being accused of. Two years later (4.16.19) someone is accusing me of something that did NOT happen. Clearly things have NOT changed with this establishment and I am glad I have not been back and will continue to take my business elsewhere. Additionally, the whole "playing dumb" thing makes zero sense and it is likely that I am being confused with a different patron in which case the person who commented on my original post, Jonathan M., needs to get their facts straight. *** Whomever Jonathan M. is, he is posting nothing but lies. It's unfortunate that this is happening and there is nothing I can do about it. I was never offered a gift card, much less a gift card for 5 times the amount. The amount of what I don't know. I have never, and will never, scam ANY business. If this is how J.M. gets his jollies, then he can get his jollies from writing lies about other people. This will be my last post regarding my visit two years ago. If other patrons have great experiences at Red Rooster's, I am happy for them. I merely posted my experience. Best bar ever! I was recently in Texas visiting my sister. We were in need of something fun to go do the Saturday before Halloween after we had dinner with my mom. Of course my sister had no idea where to go. So, I turned to Yelp and came up with Red Rooster's. She was hesitant because it was a whole 6 miles away and it's just crazy to venture out that far. I didn't give her a choice and we headed over. Great vibe. There is smoking allowed inside which to me, being from California, is super icky. But, they did have good air flow so it wasn't bad sitting in there. The people were great. Bartender was nice. Drinks were great and cheap. The karaoke was AWESOME! We danced and sang all night. We went to have one drink and left 4 hours later after singing and dancing to every song we loved from the 90s. We can't wait to go back! read more

The karaoke here was fun! It sounded really good and didn't take long to get on the list. They had a very good song selection and even bought a song for me that I wanted to sing but they didn't have. I liked the floor lights too. I recommend this place. I do wish it was smoke-free but I'm probably in the minority on that. read more

This is my favorite little bar in Pflugerville. It ain't much to look at, but the Staff is very friendly and the drinks are affordable. They have lots of perks, like bar food, a smoking area patio, karaoke, free wi-fi (ask for password, a pool table, a small light up dancefloor, a few games, a pokestop, and at the moment Bingo on Sundays from 7-9. The food is all fried, but the wings are usually good, and the pizza special is bigger than you would expect. Kay, Hollywood, and the others make an effort to get to know what you like there to remember for the next time. Even Royce (the DJ most nights) makes folders on the computer of the regulars' karaoke favs! They are vape-friendly as long as you aren't being obnoxious about it. They are also LGBT-friendly, they had a LGBT night for a while with a Drag Queen host but unfortunately the turnout didn't keep it going. All in all it feels more like you are hanging with friends rather than a bar after you go a few times and they know your face. Parking is limited, but I usually can find a place on the street if the lot is full. read more

And the karaoke is ROCKING!! There are some seriously good singers here! Get there early as the rotation can get kinda long! And don't worry about it if you aren't a "great" singer. I went there for the first time today. I met the bar tender named K. He was the nicest, chill bartender I have ever met. He was funny and hilarious. The bar is simple and neighborhood friendly. I honestly loved the bar and the bar was playing great music. If you love great cheap drinks this is the place for you. A nice place to kick it and relax. K is the bomb bartender. My girlfriend and I loved this bar and recommend this bar to anyone. Everyone is friendly so you do not have to worry about people looking at you funny. Everyone is welcome. I have been coming here for quite a while. I have moved to two different cities since the new owner took over, but every time I'm in town, my friends and I always stop by. It's like your local "Cheers" where everyone is laid back, friendly, and you meet new people each time you come. The bartenders are always friendly and give quick service and the owner is usually in there; you'd never know she was the owner unless someone told you. She's so welcoming and friendly! K and his staff are the best. We decided to throw a going away party at the bar because of the fun atmosphere. We have been to the bar on many occasions with friends. Each night was different and always fun. Drinks are very fairly priced. Staff is always friendly and helpful. K called us up few times before the party to see if anything was needed. When we got to the bar on the day of the event everything was set up for party as promised. We ended up having 40 people show up for the event, so we got some free beer and pizza. Staff thanked us for our business and great turnout. I would definitely recommend this bar to anyone who is looking for friendly fun casual environment. Dont count on singing much if you want to do karaoke. There is an hour wait most of the time just to do one song. Bar staff are never very friendly either. They will play dance-type-hiphop music before you sing a country song. Just plain bad djs with the exception of 1 or 2 which are not there every day. read more

Update: Last week, 5/2/2013, I wrote about my experience at the Red Rooster; It started on 4/24 when I stopped by after work to have a beer before I went home. I got to the Red Rooster after 1:00am I had one beer and tipped the bartender $1.00; My credit card was charged $25.00. I went and spoke to the owner Sunday, 4/28, she was busy and said she would take care of it and call me later. She never called, I e-mailed at least twice, I called a few times and only got a recorded message, I went to the bar again, left my number again... after no return calls or e-mails I wrote a review on YELP about what happened to me. The owner called me tonight, 5/7, she yelled at me for writing a review on YELP, she said she didn't have time to bow down to Anna, she said I could come in tomorrow night and see the bartender myself. Then she yelled at me so more for writing a review on YELP, and then she hung up on me. When the charge first appeared I believed it was an honest mistake, but while she was yelling at me she said she had something with my name on it; that I spent $21.00 and left a $3.40 tip. Now I know that I am being blatantly ripped off. The charge she claims doesn't even add up to the $25.00 charge on my account. This was my first visit to the place, I just wanted to have a beer and go home. read more
