Cute little cafe in downtown Plymouth! We went two days in a row because it's a classic, cozy, and quick breakfast option (they have lunch but we did not try). The classic breakfast is a staple: the pancakes were delicious, the salmon benedict had really nice flavor and the veggie omelette was cooked nicely. You can't go wrong with what you get. The server's were SO nice and attentive. The first time we were seated immediately but the second time took a little longer because they are definitely limited on the seating options (but they try to make sure you aren't waiting long). read more

Next time I will take a picture of my breakfast to share before I start to enjoy . My regular go to is a veggie omelet that is so good , Today scrambled eggs , sausage patties with shaved grilled Brussel Sprouts with Sourdough toast and fresh brewed coffee sounded good , It was very good . If you're not a Brussel Sprouts person , fresh fruit or hash browns are also an option along with many others . What ever you chose off the menu or off the special creations you won't be disappointed . The Red Shorts family / members / servers are very good at helping with options to make your meal enjoyable . The Cafe is very inviting , today when I arrived the feeling had a pleasant new feeling with a pleasant atmosphere change but very subtle . Freshly painted interior and no paint smell . This hidden gem is nothing but amazing. I stopped in twice for breakfast while I was in town for work. Both orders to go and the only waitress on duty at 6am remembered me and my order. The corn beef breakfast was the best I ever had! This is a must stop for any trip in the area. read more

I must admit there's nothing better than a great breakfast place. The place is pretty small but greatly decorated. The staff was super friendly and handled annoying customers very well. The outside is pretty unassuming but inside is nicely decorated and super clean. Came in for breakfast with our two little boys. Our food was delicious and everyone working was super friendly. This was our 1st visit to the Red Shorts Cafe! We both decided to try some breakfast offerings on the menu! So we both enjoyed the delicious Veggie Omelet! It was filled with wonderful veggies (tomato, spinach, mushrooms and onions) as well as fontina cheese. I ordered the rye bread and my hubby the wheat toast. Both were homemade and served with homemade raspberry jams and honey butter. We definitely will be back and next time perhaps order some lunch items from their menu! Great place! read more

I would give this 3.5 stars. I ordered fried eggs over medium with bacon and hash browns. I ordered an extra egg, for 3 total. The eggs were over cooked so there was very little yolk. You also only get 1slice of toast and 2 pieces of bacon. Except for the over cooked eggs, the bacon toast and hash browns were good. Most breakfast places give you 3 pieces of bacon and 2 slices of toast. read more

Looked on Yelp for breakfast suggestions and happy we chose this place! Lots of choices and reasonable prices. Friendly, fun service - you could tell they knew many of the patrons, but still nice to us. Chose the corned beef hash - one of my favorite dishes - and it was wonderful! Definitely home made. Jim had the chorizo benedict and loved it. Since they were out of cinnamon rolls due to the festival on Saturday, we shared a piece of drumstick torte --- oh so good! Was so excited about this place opening, as we really missed Carol's! We were sadly disappointed in the breakfast we tried there this past week. We heard they had Carol's pancake recipe...nope, not even close. Just a ho-hum, nothing special pancake. Also ordered the biscuits and gravy. Terrible!! The gravy was orange, which came from using chorizo instead of pork sausage. It was inedible. Sorry Red Shorts Cafe...you are no Carol's and won't be in business long with mediocre food. read more
