Red Silo is an adorable cafe in LoHi. Sitting pretty on the heart of Platte Street, I recommend giving them a try for numerous reasons. They have a few other locations on the west side of town, but this one is a stunner. If I lived closer this would be in the rotation much more frequently. They have a large menu with coffee beverages of all kinds, pastries, breakfast burritos, etc. I've had many drinks here, from simple Americanos to specialty iced lattes to my kryptonite espresso tonic. As a coffee roaster, they obviously know their stuff. For me, the coffee is strong, the lattes are creative, and the 'spro tonic is good. Food wise, they have a big menu. Breakfast burritos are tried and true in Colorado, so it's no shock to see them on the menu. I wouldn't say I loved the burrito personally, but that's just me. I believe the most standout part of Red Silo are the employees. I've encountered many different baristas behind the counter and they've all been so pleasant. A very nice bright spot in the Denver LoHi neighborhood. We were at this location in 2023 when it was Wonder, and the atmosphere is the same, which is great since it was beautiful then. A center seating and shelving area is the perfect addition, offering cozy, comfortable seating. Seating is only indoor. Lots of plants are on display along with the roasted coffee for sale. Cute jugs are for sale for cold brew or iced tea. Red Silo roasts its own coffee at the flagship Arvada location. The coffee was very good. They make their own pastries and baked goods, but we didn't try one this time. I had the bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich on an English muffin, and although I checked in advance if it was warmed in the microwave or an oven (it was heated in an oven), it was pre-made and came out soft as if it was done in the microwave. I would say it was fair. They do offer Root Beer Ollipop, which is a favorite of mine! The noise level was perfect, and you could easily hear your dining companion speaking. The barista, Kirsten, was wonderful, extremely friendly, and informative. She gave us the history of Red Silo and talked about her love of working there. Parking is on the street and in garages. Walked in on a Friday around 2PM for a quick pick me up. The place was pretty empty, cutely decorated with plenty of seating but the coffee was pretty good! No one really greeted us walking in, we just had our order taken and got our coffee pretty quick. Great place for coffee with minimal interaction - especially if you know what you want to drink. I usually hate ordering decaf because it tastes bitter, but when Shelley told me they pay attention to their decaf I trusted her. She was not kidding! First sip and I was in heaven, it was so smooth and delightful!! The sausage breakfast burrito was very high quality and the perfect size. My belly was warm and full after eating. I believe Shelley mentioned they're from a local vendor Spruce. Last but not least, the carrot cake. Oh M Geeeeeee--- Shelley told me all the pastries are made in house and the carrot cake in particular is a family recipe and gluten free. This was absolutely the best carrot cake I have had since moving to Colorado from NYC. I would go back just for the carrot cake alone-- you really wouldn't know it's gluten free either! This place is a quaint win for Platte St. Local roasters with delicious cold brew. Seriously some of the best cold brew I have ever had. And the supplier for cold brew for New Terrain Brewery - my whole heart! Red Silo even has their own bourbon cold brew. Get this with the cold brew and skip Starbucks forever. The pastry case was a bit underwhelming. I cannot vouch for everything in there but I sure can for the carrot bundt cake that is YUMMY! They've visited multiple coffee farms abroad to test beans and ensure they'd supporting good people, which is so beautiful! And it also shows in their coffee selection. I got the Nicaraguan iced coffee and it was so smooth. Just a really good coffee. Secondly, the pastries are old family recipes or outsourced from a place in Boulder. Same with the food. It's great to see local businesses supporting other local business! The turkey pesto panini was out of this world - the bread was so unique and crunchy. The gluten free carrot cake was also good, and I'm not a big carrot cake girl. I had to try since it was grandma's recipe! One of the co-owners was there when I visited and she was absolutely lovely. She spoke with me all about the business and their goals, and it really just makes you want to support them! Stopped in here after working up an appetite at Yoga. This coffee shop was very clean and I loved all the plants they had on the shelves. I gave it a very modern hipster vibe. Parking was easy although it is street parking. It wasn't very busy mid morning. I was here as part of a Yelp elite event I got to taste lots of things off the menu. I loved the diesel fuel coffee with MTC oil and the blueberry muffin, so very delicious! I will definitely be back for those in the future. The person joining me got a latte and a burrito that they really enjoyed. I thought the latte art was really cute and included it in my pictures. Cute new location! Street parking available. Came in the morning before clinic and was received a cheery greeting and helpful recommendations for the many options in the pastry counter. They have a fun mix of treats, including those that are gluten-free; all are made in-house at their Arvada location! As soon as I walked in the staff greeted me and made me feel super welcome. They made great suggestions for coffee and food. I ended up getting an iced spicy dirty chai and the turkey sausage and egg sammie. I loved the amount of spice in the dirty chai, and the sammie was the perfect breakfast item. Cute spot on Platte. Mixture of both table seating and relaxing chairs to choose from. There were quite a few people in there during the time we stopped in, around 10am on a week day. I personally wasn't a huge fan of the raspberry pistachio latte, as I didn't like it raspberry that was used. The ham, egg, and cheese sandwich and blueberry muffin were both tasty! Another winner on Platte Street! Just be aware parking can be tough and it is metered (worth it, though). Came by on a weekday morning to get some work done and can attest this is a spot where you can do just that. While there aren't outlets at every seat, there are enough to go around. They also have comfy chairs to sit and read and plenty of other seating options if you want to catch-up with some friends. Staff is friendly and I was happy to discover pastries are made (and beans roasted) at one of their other locations. What a gorgeous coffee shop! And with so much seating! Upon entry, you can feel the calm in this beautiful, clean, space. One of the first things I noticed- the acoustics. You can actually have a conversation in here without echos or being drowned out, or you can work in peace without absorbing the conversation at the table next to you. The music was also so perfect for the vibe. Renee greeted us at the register and was so welcoming and kind! I also got the opportunity to meet the owner, Shelley, who was so personable and friendly. We ordered a latte, drip coffee, bacon breakfast burrito, and the banana bread and all were delicious! We even bought a bag of beans before we left. I would order any of these again, and also am eyeing a brownie for next time. Shelley let me know they make all of the food in house, which I loved knowing. Confluence needed a coffee shop just like Red Silo. This place is going to be a hit. I love how all their ingredients are sourced locally or verified sustainably. They roast all their beans in house and almost all their food is also made in house. This is about to become your favorite place to "work from anywhere" because the staff is welcoming and makes you feel at home. I had a delicious panini with awesome turkey, perfectly melty cheese and fabulous touch of pesto. The coffee was stunning, as to be expected. Not bitter and all and very refreshing. Came in for just a little snack because I was starving. Inside is nice with some seating in the coffee shop. I was confused by the menu because under paninis I didn't see turkey panini offered. I stopped by a new coffee spot in my neighborhood and left pretty disappointed with the experience. I tried to order an iced cortado, something I've ordered at other local shops, and the manager responded by asking if I wanted the "fake answer or real answer" about why she could make it this one time. I politely asked how I should order it in the future, and while I appreciated the explanation, the tone of the interaction felt unnecessarily judgmental. She also mentioned that requests like this are "because of Starbucks," which didn't sit right with me, especially since I've ordered similar drinks at other local coffee shops (metropolis and hello darling) without issue. To top it off, my fiancé's latte was almost entirely milk and lacked any real coffee flavor. Overall, the experience didn't feel welcoming, and I don't see myself returning. I was introduced to this new coffee shop in the low high/riverfront area a little while back I recently came in and once again got the almond poppyseed muffin and a bacon breakfast burrito. I cannot even explain to you how obsessed I am with the almond poppyseed muffin, which you can have warmed up. It is like everything good in the world all at once. I love the location and walk ability. I had the most lovely morning walk to this coffee shop from Central downtown. The only thing that could be improved was that the coffee beverages that myself and my partner wanted to order we're not available because of some ingredients being out of stock. No big deal we just ended up getting food. I do think the espresso is great quality. The café is beautiful, bright and sunny with plenty of space to sit or get a little work done. This is my new favorite coffee shop (although I'll be going to the Golden location since ice recently moved). First of all, amazingly friendly staff, I mean, wow those ladies went above and beyond to be helpful and kind really appreciated them! Second of all my coffee was delicious and my son really enjoyed his herbal tea and they were so kind as to make it kid temperature so he was able to drink it immediately. We had an almond croissant and it was very yummy. Although I don't think we should've warmed it up because it made it a little bit tough. There's also many food options to choose from, ranging pastries to breakfast sandwiches, and breakfast burritos, to oatmeal. The coffee shop is very large with ample amount of seating and people were working there. They have coffee beans you can buy from the shelves and other knick knacks to choose from. We tried to go here on Saturday morning, we waited by the cashiers booth for 15 minutes while a singular woman working didn't even acknowledge we were there. It was a quite strange experience and we ended up leaving and walking to a different place since we were never even greeted in those 15 minutes. We were the only people in line. I came in and was greeted by a very friendly barista with lots of great suggestions. I ended up trying an iced mocha, the grilled cheese panini, and the gluten free and vegan chocolate espresso bundt cake. All three items were great. The coffee was smooth and not bitter. The grilled cheese panini really hit the spot and had a little bit of rosemary baked into the bread which took it up a notch. The bundt cake was super chocolatey and fudgey. If you try this bundt cake you have to heat it up because it's so good warm! The interior of Red Silo was spacious with plenty of seating. Ordered the sausage, cheese, and green chili panini, carrot bundt cake, cappuccino, and keto cold brew coffee. Cappuccino was very tasty, bold, and more dark roasted/chocolate flavors. My barista was friendly and welcomed me as soon as she saw me in line. I asked her for a recommendation on their pastries and she said the cinnamon roll is one of her faves. This was a great experience. Just a short walk from Union Station, Red Silo greets their guests as they walk through the door making them feel welcome at this bright cheerful downtown location. Shelly one of the owners, gave me a brief history of Red Silo and some of the baked goods are family recipes. The pistachio raspberry latte, a current special, was hot and full of flavor. The vegetarian breakfast burrito was the perfect size, to make you just full of substance, but not heavy. The raspberry scone was perfect. There is space to work at banquet style bench/tables (with outlets for charging), and some nice comfy chairs to relax and read. I have to say, the customer service at Red Silo was top-notch. The women working that day were super friendly, offered great recommendations, and made sure my visit was enjoyable from start to finish. I ordered a 16oz iced latte, a blueberry muffin, and the vegetarian breakfast burrito. The burrito wasn't quite to my taste--it had some unexpected ingredients like carrots, which threw me off a bit, and I only ended up eating half. As someone who prefers a strong cup of coffee, the iced latte was also a miss at first--it came with only two shots of espresso and tasted more like iced milk. But to their credit, the staff noticed I wasn't enjoying it and offered to remake it with extra shots. That was entirely my oversight for not asking about the espresso content ahead of time. For reference, their hot 16oz lattes come with four shots--definitely better suited to my taste. The blueberry muffin, though? Absolutely delicious. I really appreciated their attentiveness and willingness to make things right--it left a great impression. The café itself is in a great walkable part of LoHi and has a relaxed, welcoming vibe.
