I recently learned that I needed stability running shoes to complement my orthotics. When I entered Sole Sports, I met Jess right away who fully understood exactly what I needed. She measured my feet and asked me a bunch of questions. Then, she brought out various pairs of shoes and walked me through trying them on with my orthotics. I learned that I should be considering a shoe size a half-size larger than what I thought I needed. That certainly made a huge difference! I got some good ideas of what I wanted to do moving forward, and while the prices seemed quite a bit more than what they are online (similar to any physical store), they offered me a discount since I was referred to Sole Sports by a doctor. Sole Sports is a locally owned, specialty running and walking store based in Phoenix. They strive to be an alternative to big box stores and online shopping. In addition to offering a wide variety of running and walking gear, they host weekly training runs, support local running clubs & youth programs, sponsor local races and donate a lot of money back into our local community. It was definitely a successful trip, I came out with the 2 I loved from the window and one more. The employees at each store I visited were friendly and helpful overall which made the experience nice.
