Tired of big box stores, I gave this one a try earlier this year. Foot Solutions is conveniently located on the corner of Acoma & Scottsdale Rd., just south of Kierland Commons. I was so impressed with the shoe selection, quality and staff knowledge. I walked out with a pair of Taos sandals, perfect for our AZ summer. I'm writing my review after a few purchases here. I love that they sell Archie's flip flops they are perfect and comfortable for everyday wear giving that extra support needed for Plantars fasciitis that aren't old lady looking or ugly looking shoes lol. They have them in several colors and sizes. The first time I was there the customer service was not the best I can see how many people are put off with the attitudes of sales associates there. This was not my experiences at all this time around I was warmly greeted by Amy she was lovely and kind very personable and should be recognized for her wonderful customer service. I have to wear "good" shoes and even more so since a broken foot bone, surgery and a long recovery. The staff at this particular store are knowledgeable, helpful and do everything to help you make a good choice. They are willing to go extra mile to get you what you would like. I was even instructed how to properly tie my Hokas (that I had bought elsewhere) so they would truly provide the support that I bought them for! I was in desperate need of a good shoe for being on my feet on concrete all day as a retail worker. I had gone through ASICS, Brooks, various inserts, all on my own without instruction. (All great shoes but my hurting feet needed more specialized help at the time). THEN I went to FOOT SOLUTIONS and met Barbara Boger - the Fitting Specialist at that store. (She is now retired but may be coming back on Saturday's this summer of 2023.) SHE SPENT OVER AN HOUR with me. She measured my feet with this special contraption they have and explained how very important it is to TIE YOUR SHOES and UNTIE YOUR SHOES to avoid breaking the heal and keeping them perfectly fit to your feet. As a shoe "slipper-oner" I always shoved my feet in already tied shoes so this was NOT fun to get used to. LOL I'm lazy. HOWEVER, I followed her instructions to the T. She also recommended personally fitting orthotics but I didn't want to spent that much just yet. (I probably should have but I wanted to see how these worked first). They were AWESOME!!! I've worn them over a year now and I'm ready for a new pair. These have served me well! THANK YOU BARBARA BOGER for taking the time necessary to fit my feet, explain what I needed and guiding me through this process. YOU ARE THE BEST!! Attached to this review is my well-worn dirty work shoes after over a year of being beat up. Spent $430 on custom insoles. It took over 15 days to deliver, they are terrible quality and they did not fit them into my shoes. Seriously I have had $15 insoles with more support. When calling into the store to complain to Sue she was extremely rude and said I would not be awarded a refund the best they can do is half credit or full store credit even though I never wore the insoles and my purchase was within 30 days which is company policy. She blamed me for them not fitting my $430 insoles as well. Completely unprofessional, I want my money back asap. read more

I was finally tired of having crappy shoes and painful hips, gave up on my target flip flops and sought the direction of a professional. Zachary greeted us and heard my concerns - I want comfort, I don't want to look like a mom. And he nailed it! I noticed a really nice pair of shoes as I drove by, and decided to stop in because I was looking for cool shoes with heels suitable for work. I was personally fitted by the owner with styles that blew me away. Not every style she brought out for me was on the shelf, and it was fun getting to try on things that just arrived and hadn't even made it out of the back yet. She really got my style and had a great sense of what would work at my office. And just as important, she found shoes with 3 inch heels that were incredibly comfortable! When I mentioned this to her, she explained how she knew what would be comfortable by examining my feet when she fitted me. I was completely and pleasantly surprised by the shoes and the handbags for sale here. Sue, the owner, was so much fun to work with and was incredibly knowledgeable about what shoes would work for my feet. The lady that helped was extremely knowledgeable - as was the owner that happened to be there. I found Foot Solutions 3 years ago and it's become the only place I'll buy my shoes. I have "foot issues" so it's very difficult for me to find cool/attractive, functional shoes. HUGE life-impacter to find these unique brands that I could actually wear to work all day and/or travel in, etc., without pain or problem!! Yes, the price-point is higher, but that just means I have less shoes - and each one is perfect!! They also last a REALLY long time! As for the other posters I've read: Of COURSE you can't walk 1.5 miles in your shoes and return them! No kidding. Would you want to buy shoes that have been walked in for a mile and a half? I think "no," which means they can't be re-sold. As for service, my experience over a 3-year period has been consistently excellent service. I recently stopped into Foot Solutions with my elderly parents who are in their 90s. My 95 year-old dad has had issues for years with his feet, and recently has been in tremendous pain while walking in any sort of shoes. The past several months we've been trying to find all sorts of shoes & slippers for him to wear - all have been uncomfortable. When we walked into Foot Solutions, we were immediately welcomed, and Pam & Sue quickly, and tenderly, accessed my dad's feet. They brought out all kinds of shoes, socks, insoles, hammer-head toe crests, and went to work, trying to alleviate my dad's pain and find a shoe that would work. Both patiently assisted us for over an hour, and ultimately found my dad not only a pair of shoes, but a pair of sandals! I am so grateful for this place. I'm so happy I found this store and owner Sue Orischak! She is a certified Pedorthist and has a passion for helping people find supportive shoes that are also fashionable. She can also make orthotic supports for you right there same day and help you find shoes that work with them. I am a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation specialist (M.D.) and met one of my patients there in an attempt to get a specialized forefoot support for her. Sue made and modified a device for her and she spent well over an hour to make sure the fit was right. No more toe pain for my 94 year old patient. I have since been back to get sports orthotics and shoes for my boys and they have been great. I highly recommend Sue and her store to anyone who has difficulty finding shoes that don't hurt or if you already know you have a specific foot problem. read more

This is a great store for folks with foot issues. I have plantar fasciitis in both feet and steroid shots haven't worked. The staff here helped me find supportive shoes for work and play, and after wearing them religiously for 8 weeks l feel real relief. And, when I had an issue with one of the shoes where the heel was peeling, they simply ordered new shoes for me with no issue. After being disabled for months from a medical error, trying to walk again with a cane after being on a knee scooter was excruciating. Waited at the front for a return and finally the owner walked up and then told me to move so she can check out her customer and i explained I've been waiting for 20 minutes and she said okay well my customers been here for more trying shoes on (clearly she doesn't understand how lines work). Once the customer was done another associate named Sue helped me and asked for the card number for the return but my gift is from my birthday... so i don't carry my mother's debit card around to get returns. She wanted to speak to my mom which she did and told my mom (I'm 29) that she's issue me a check. She got off the phone with my mom and then screamed at me stating "you put me in a awkward position and that I'm rude and that I'm wasting her time" well sad to say lady but I'm the customer and you most def don't talk to customers that way. I will forever tell the firm I work at to not go here!! If i don't see my check in a week I will most def go back in and ask for a hand written check and if not i will have to take legal action. Be aware that when you buy shoes here, getting a refund is extraordinarily difficult. The receipt noted that "Shoes may be returned for a full refund within 2 weeks of purchase if complete with box, inserts, and in new condition." I walked in a pair of $180 sneakers I bought for one or two miles and began getting heel pain. When I brought the sneakers back a week later, the store owner said they were not in new condition and could not be returned for a refund, only store credit. She also said that I should have just walked in them around the house so they wouldn't get dirty. About as effective as test driving a car, but only in your driveway. They looked "in new condition" to me. She said otherwise. Next time, I buy shoes on the Internet or at a store that has a rational, fair refund policy. read more

The customer service at Foot Solutions is spot on! I am 53 years old and suffered from plantar fasciitis for two years before finally getting to the store to order custom orthotics...I instantly felt better. Years later, my 85 year old aunt who was living in Pinetop needed orthotic shoes for her arthritic feet. I explained her situation to Sue and she selected several pairs of shoes that may work for her. She then allowed me to take 8 pairs of shoes to Pinetop for my aunt to try WITHOUT charge or deposit!! My aunt kept the most comfortable shoes she has ever had and I returned the rest days later. Last week, I was finally able to convince my 86 year old arthritic mother to get a pair of healthy, comfortable shoes. Sarah was our sales associate. She was AMAZING with my mom!!!! Sarah made her feel so comfortable and went to great lengths to make sure my mom was certain about her purchase. It's literally taken 86 yrs for my mom to wear a comfortable pair of shoes...better late than never. Purchased item (tan color) receipt says Full Refund within 2 weeks, went back to store 1 week later-never wore the shoes, and was told that it was a clearance item. What a great experience at Foot Solutions Scottsdale. Zachary who is a sales associate there was fantastic. He was knowledgeable about foot problems and only wanted to sell what was healthiest for my feet as well as my sister who was shopping from out of state for well made shoes for diabetics and foot and ankle issues. Really happy with his customer service and knowledge. Willing to say that shoes not for you and then suggest a better alternative. Walked out with six pairs. She was very knowledgeable about what she needed- My friend purchased one pair of shoes, and after walking on the new shoes for a day she was ready to go back and get a second pair. Unfortunately they are closed on Sundays. No high pressure sales, and the utmost honesty. When we asked about the custom made inserts, the owner stated that they would not work for my friend. I like that! I have flat feet. The owner had me try on a pair of inserts while I was there. I tried them on and they felt great. My 10 y/o daughter was seen by a DPM and Foot Solutions was recommended for a shoe orthotic. I phoned FS to verify if they were able to accommodate pediatric customers. I spoke with Sue who stated that typically not but to bring my daughter in and she would determine if she could help us. We arrived at 4 pm on Thursday and there were people being assisted by Sue and another sales person. We waited 40 minutes for Sue to help us but I was not disturbed by the wait after observing the attention that the customers received. After all, people who shop at a specialty shop are there for foot/back issues. Sue was extremely helpful in fitting my daughter in the proper shoe insert. I appreciated this positive experience and will definitely shop at this store again. Shoe prices range from $65 dollars for sale items to over $200.
