The service and drinks here are so good it's almost suspicious. The staff operates like a finely tuned, highly caffeinated machine. Here is a breakdown of the local legends making it happen: Shae, Bobby, Madi, Ally,Ali, Jonathan, Red, Nicole, Ryan, Rosa, Chris, gloria, the list goes on. The staff produce immaculate vibes, you want all that then go to a place where the staff works harder than an air conditioner in July, you get your butt to the Red Zone. Ugh... it pains me to write this but I have to know what happened here! We moved back to the area in December of last year and tried just about every sports bar in the area and settled on Redzone because of the fantastic food and amazing service... food so good, we swore by it and visited over and over throughout the winter months for brunch, football games, lunches, dinners... you name it! Fast forward to our past two experiences in mid summer and we are questioning what the hell happened?? We dropped in on a Tuesday night after work for a quick bite and a beer only to be met with a very subpar, grizzly and chewy prime rib sandwich (our go to!!!) and a salad in which we were given Dijon mustard instead of the honey we asked for. No big deal, off night... we joked the B squad must have been in to close up early on a quiet night... A couple of weeks later we drop in for a brunch outing with the kids after a swim lesson and the experience was that much worse. We ordered a simple pancakes and eggs for the kids a Benedict and sandwich for us. The place wasn't busy but it took 40+ minutes for the food to arrive only to find pancakes that were barely cooked... literally dough, potatoes that seemed to be a mix of old and new (some severely undercooked and cold) and a veggie Benedict that came out 15 minutes after the rest with a runny and very sour tasting sauce, needless to say we didn't eat each much of it and ended up having to get food elsewhere. Really not sure what to make of it, the reviews suggest a similar Jekyll and Hyde situation where it's a crap shoot as to what you're going to get... it's all well and good being scratch made but if you can't cook the food it doesn't matter. With the price of eating out these days being so high, we will be needing to take our business elsewhere which is really unfortunate as we loved this place. Food previously was great. Today was sub par was over cooked and meat on the Philly was so dry it was like eating leather. The Rubin was also extremely dry and over cooked. The mozzarella sticks which are usually phenomenal today were also over cooked. Not sure if they went thru a staff change but today's cook definitely needs a refresher on over cooking food. A lot of people in today betting on horses so was a little louder than the usual times we've been here. read more

Imagine the surprise when we pulled into what once was Charley's only to find it's now Red Zone Sports Grill. The 3 worst words came to mind. Under New Ownership! At least they have the sense to keep most of the same staff. We love sitting at the bar as Ally has always been amazing to us as well as anyone else that shares the bar with us. Ally is the cornerstone of the staff. I've never witnessed a bartender that displays such hustle while building relationships with everyone that walks through their door. Unfortunately, there's a sense of change in the air. We love coming in for breakfast. I'm not sure why but the breakfast menu has been severely reduced. There are several of the usual items. However, several items apparently didn't make the cut. The time it took for the cooks to prep and cook our food took a longer than usual. There weren't that many ppl to serve while we were there. Also, you are wasting product by providing plastic mini cups for ketchup. What doesn't get used goes in the trash. Wasteful. It's a sports bar. Nothing wrong with the ketchup bottles being on a bar or table. We tell you this bc we care. This bar has been pivotal in the community. There are many regulars who come for the food, ambiance and service. Please look to make it better so it's doesn't get lose the very charm that made it what it has been. I'd hate to see it close like other local bars who try to change too much. read more

Red Zone is my new go-to sports grill/bar! The staff has always been super friendly and inviting, oh and super personable! The food is delicious! It's a scratch kitchen so everything is made in house and very fresh! My go to appetizer is the Red Zona Fries! They pack a punch of flavor and are super filling! It's great to share with the table! Let's talk about their burgers. Hands down my most favorite thing ever to get from The Red Zone is the bacon PB&J burger! I know the combination sounds weird on a burger but it goes so well together! Also, the fries are so crispy and flavorful, obsessed! This place is also a partner with the Arizona Cardinals! They put on killer watch parties and have cool giveaways too! They have different games/events going on just about every night so there's always a good reason to pop in, play some trivia or sing your favorite song. read more

Wondered in from walking around waiting for my car at safelite Bartender good! Chill environment. I don't drink but they have crazy great selections for beers here. I mainly came for lunch. Wings, absolutely amazing. Perfectly crispy, yet tender. Sauce was good, seems homemade, might be trippin Burger, bomb, amazing. Came with tater tots. We were there on Father's Day and my Dad is a regular there. While the food and service were good, there was a very intoxicated man at the bar. He was so loud and belligerent that my Dad was super annoyed. The kicker is that No One, not the bartender or a manager said anything to the man. We could clearly see that other patrons were bothered also. Also, The bartender seemed to be egging him on. Very disappointed that management didn't gently shut him down out of consideration for everyone else there. I know my Dad will be back but we probably won't. read more

The place is nice and cozy. I'll start by saying the food was good considering it's bar food. What truly stood out was the cleanliness in the female restroom. My only concern and the bartender couldn't explain was once getting the bill the tax was 10.2. And was above 8.1 which is for the state, county and city. Can someone clarify why the difference? We've been to Red Zone regularly the last few weeks and we couldn't be happier!! Our service has been excellent! (Thank you Bobby and Red) They have been welcoming, enthusiastic and have gone out of their way to give us the best experience! The food has been great too! Hear me out. The salads are AMAZING. We went here for the HH menu and fell in love with the salads instead. There is a real bacon, REAL real bacon in the salad, huge delicious chunks of cucumber, yummy mixed greens and I could go on and on (the croutons I could go without ...we have to get those a little crunchier guys). I think the waiter was newish? Seen her a couple of times but forgot the menus for a good bit after sitting us, wasn't too busy inside and we were on patio. On the way with drinks she spilled them twice and I noticed her spilling some customers food as well ... she also forgot what we ordered atleast 4 times maybes more I lost count honestly. The restaurant is spacious, clean, and the staff are welcoming. On this visit we all shared the loaded tots, fried zucchini, barbacoa tacos, french fries, sonoran burger, pork sliders and everything was so tasty, perfectly seasoned. The burger had just the right amount of seasoning and was not only flavorful but grilled to perfection. The tacos and pork sliders also perfectly prepared. What kind of "sports bar" turns off the tvs with 2 minutes left in a game? With my elderly grandma literally standing in front of the tv watching it, TWICE. Such rude wait staff. Could have politely told us that they were closing. But instead made us feel super awkward for 10 minutes while we finished up the game that we were literally watching the entire night after spending $200 on drinks and food, that was mediocre at best. Not a good place for Sunday night football. Will not be going back. Just bad hospitality overall. read more

Charley's Sports Grill is a neighborhood type pub located in Glendale (Arrowhead). Besides offering breakfast and a varied all day menu they also offer - off track betting, and events such as cornball, trivia night, karaoke, and Friday & Saturday night live music. We started out with the corned beef hash street sized tacos. These weren't for us because everything from the tortilla to the hash was cold. If they just took the time to grill the tortilla the tacos would be elevated. But everything really was very good after the tacos. My husband. tried a cup of chili. He said that it was very good! I had the salmon salad. The salmon was prepared great! medium-rare - medium and nice and flaky and seemed really fresh. The flavors were all good. Everything was fresh. My husband had the 13 hour smoked pulled pork sandwich. with fries. He wasn't too into the slaw....but he usually doesn't like slaw anyway. But he really enjoyed the pulled pork. He said that. it was nice and flavorful and really tender. Fries and sauces were good too. Atmosphere is loud. Service was efficient. Parking is easy because they are in a strip mall. read more

I cannot recommend this place. It used to be great. Now prepare to wait 30 minutes to an hour to get your order in and another hour to get you food. I am so disappointed. This was amazing when they first opened. I took my daughter and Son in law here over the holidays. It was a nightmare. Waited over an hour for our drinks and another 30 minutes to order, total 1 hour 30 minutes from order time to get our food. Our food was disgusting to say the least. My son in law and daughter ordered there Steak sandwiches which when they bit into them they were foul and smelled of rotted meat, they gagged and spit it out. My order was a salad and it was limp and disgusting. we finally got someone to stop and look and it but you could clearly smell it... They offered nothing except to take it off our bill. REALLY?
