Nice vibe with a decent beer selection. I came here on a Thursday night and it wasn't too busy. Maybe half full? I got the "Holy Guacamole" burger. It's a half pound angus burger with lettuce, tomato, pickle, pepper jack, and guacamole. I asked for my burger medium rare, and it was took perfectly. The bun was a bit dry. Please help me! Last visit we walked out! Today went by myself and a simple old fashion no smoke. Can you see the mistakes: no napkin, no straw, and an aged orange peel, and a maraschino cherry ! Cross Eyed Cricket is a community staple here in northwest Peoria, just outside Phoenix area. They are definitely a local hang out that has, pool, shuffle board, few arcade style games and darts. Outside on the large porch they even have corn hole to play in the nice weather season! Now as far as the food it's the best "bar" style food I've had probably ever. Their burgers are literally incredible!! They have a burger called the "outlaw"! All I gotta say is try it!!! Yum! They even have a crisp fresh Caesar salad that I love getting there. What I like about the service is how chill it is. You just come in and find an open table, seat yourself and then they come over and serve you. While watching the College Football Championship game last night, I noticed a cockroach running towards me on the bar. I smashed the roach with a napkin! I showed the napkin and told the bartender, Brandy, that it was a German Cockroach, and she commented , what is that??? Wow!!! I gave her the napkin, and she took it to the manager. When she came back, i tried to close out and she said "I got the drinks." I tipped her for her service and I left immediately. Where there is one cockroach, there are many! Service was absolutely terrible! Arrived at establishment at 5:30 pm, ordered All U Can Eat Ribs, at 6:45 pm we were told they ran out, what? We then ordered a chicken sandwich and classic hamburger. Food was okay??? Tables are not being bussed or cleaned. Where is the Management???? I know help is difficult to find but train your staff to be efficient and assist where ever and when ever possible. I've said this in the past and I'm saying it again, this is my last time at this establishment, it bothers me to say that as I am usually very positive and love supporting local businesses. Our wait person was nice but certainly not trained in keeping her customers aware of what's happening in the kitchen. I can't believe I'm giving them any stars, terrible experience, had to remind them 3 times we were Veterans, which is an another scenario that finally got rectified. Don't let some of the reviews fool you. Yes it's VERY busy, yes you may wait for tables. It is very clearly labeled with signs at the door it's first come first serve with tables. It's seat yourself. I have only been on the weekend and this week with playoff games you're bound to maybe not get in. Service was friendly and when our waitress saw the table was dirty we had found she came right over to clean it. Our drink order was taken and she gave us ample time to choose what we'd like to order. We settled on Thai chili honey wings and split a hot Italian beef sandwich with fries. They had a great option for beers on tap as well. I typically drink sour beers, but they had a great cider on tap so I ordered one of those. Everything came out quickly and was delicious. Our wings were cooked a bit too long and a litte dry, but the flavor was awesome. Our sandwich was good and fries crispy. During our entire meal people kept coming. It is definitely the local spot. You're kind of in a Bermuda Triangle in Vistancia. There's only a handful of places to eat and shop so yes there are a lot of locals here. Fun place, good food and service. Really good bar food, friendly staff and cold beers. Not a bad place to go and hang for some lunch and grab some drinks. Waitress staff is friendly, funny and chatty when it's not too busy and the overall atmosphere is comfortable. Only complaint might be some of the other customers to be honest, it's a sports bar not a high end steak house but sometimes you get some snotty wannabe Scottsdale people in there. If they could bounce them out it would be a 5 star place. lol read more

We enjoy coming here but had a bad experience this time. I ordered the egg breakfast and didn't include the potatoes and asked for sourdough toast and got white. When told waitress, she wasn't concerned and didn't offer any solution or discount. Also a customer had their dog sitting at the bar. The waitress thought it was cute and took pictures. Animals don't belong inside and especially sitting at the table in a chair. Not something I ever expected here. Not a good experience. read more

First time last night at Cross Eyed Cricket. The Band was great and the food was really good. Some of the best wings and quesadillas we have had. The service was one of worst we have ever had. No hostess to seat you, put our own table and chairs together. First beverage was a little longer than normal wait then we had to serve ourselves. Food was delivered no plates or napkins. Just walked in to have a drink with my husband. There were 4 seats at the bar. One had a keys in front of it so I told my husband to move over. The bartender walked up and told us we couldn't sit because there because there were 4 people playing pool. We asked if we could sit anywhere else and she said no. Very disappointed in the way she treated us and why hold 4 seats when 4 people are playing pool and drinking by the pool table. We like supporting local businesses. We live close by and don't come every day but won't be returning after the way we were treated. I hope the staff takes this into consideration. read more

1st. Have loved the Cricket. Taco Tuesday is great. BUT- the last 2 visits have been SUB par. Tonite 3/24, first beers Flat as they probably sat on bar for 20 minutes after order. I have met friends several times at Cross-eyed in the past for drinks, but never felt right leaving a review until I had a chance to eat a full meal. Luckily I finally had that chance for dinner last night. Because of COVID we opted for carry out. We called and placed the order and it was ready within about 20 minutes. The only downfalls with the ordering process was the fact that they do have a kid's menu but it is nowhere online, so I had to call get the options then call back. It would be great if they shared it on their website. The other drawback was how loud it sounded their and the fact the person taking the order kept asking for me to speak up. I was afraid something would be off in our order, but luckily it was all good. Now for the food. My girls opted for the kids grilled cheese and fries and the corn dog and fries meals. My husband tried the Wandering Donkey Burger and onion rings and I opted for the Rueben and tater tots. All the food was really good and was devoured quickly. My first time here and it was very good our waitress was very nice and she was very friendly. the foods was very delicious I had they're bacon cheeseburger and wings I was very happy with it. I also had they're queso fries and it was also very good. I love love love this bar! The staff is freaking amazing, the clientele has been the nicest people on earth! The food is always so good! We just moved to Northpointe and found this little gem! Been our local hangout for last couple weeks. Our, and so many others complaint is how hot it is in the bar. I personally bought neck fans for the bar staff and a few of the patrons. The burgers and honey hot wings are the best things on the menu!! Music is often too loud for many which can be annoying when trying to have conversations there. A few notches lower and it would be much better. Drinks are good and we appreciate them always making it fun for our kiddos with the games, Coloring books and the popcorn machine (never stop doing this!)
