Marcus is seemingly competent, but an absolutely horrible communicator. I had to threaten to sue him to get my bike back. I mistakenly pre-paid for a simple valve job. DO NOT PRE-PAY!! He'll tell you that he can get right on the repair if you do, but that a lie. I paid for a valve job that was to be done by a machine shop, but that never happened. Marcus simply removed excess carbon build up by hand to resolve the low compression no start condition. Did I get money back for the machine shop work that was never done? F no. I was so happy to just get my bike back after 3 months of endless excuses, I didn't press for is refund. I'll never go to Red Bike again. read more

Fantastic service and communication. I took in two bikes for safety inspections, a Hayabusa and Softail Deluxe(I know, two vastly different bikes!!!). Joe and Alex walked out of the shop and instantly started talking about the bikes and how nice they were. They agreed to take them in and check them out then call me with what they felt the bikes would need. I already had an idea, so when Joe called we had a great conversation and I let them proceed with their recommendations. When the bikes were done Joe called. The weather was cold and raining, so he fully understood that I'd like to keep them there until a nicer day. He held onto them for a week for me as we waited for that nicer day. Took my bike there in January 18 for tires to be installed. I noted all of the great reviews. Since it was January and I was not riding much I took the bike home and parked it. I should have inspected right a way! The wheels are all gouged up from there tire irons so much for no touch! The first ride after li lost the rear brakes after inspection they missed the lug that holds the caliper. They did come get the bike and reinstall it properly and refilled the brake fluid. I have now been doing so riding notice chain getting loose and due for service. They find rear axel is stripped out ( over torqued) the couple of dollars saved now have cost much much more. After scouting out tire change prices and reviews via the Internet for a couple days, I contacted Redbike about replacing the tubes and tires on my Bonneville. For starters, Redbike's pricing is well below what I found anywhere else. Furthermore, this shop is just plain awesome. Tons of bikes in there being worked on. The best part is Joe, the owner. He's a British expat who has been working with motorcycles for decades, and he knows his stuff when it comes to any make and model. It was really great swapping stories with him while he was changing my tires, and it was awesome just jabbering. More like your buddy who has tire changing gear than a business you pay money to for services rendered. Read them all and called Joe up to price and make an appointment. Got the parts the next day and rode up on Veterans Day. Small shop but I like that kind of appearance. How about I drop off my bike on 25 June 2017, for a clutch job. was told no worries, about 800 bucks..outstanding....came and checked on it several times....nothing..waiting for parts???WTF finally on August 10th or so....I finally get my bike back....filthy, oil hand prints all over the engine cover, funny noise coming out of starter, no oil, nothing else done...just the clutch ( I had asked for other items IE oil change, tire etc. ) finally get to my bill.....over 1300 dollars...WTF....told that I needed additional parts. I could have had my bike done in three days at A&S BMW for 150 more....and been riding instead of looking at my bike sitting there collecting dust for over a month. During the 4-5 times I stopped by, my bike sat there...one mechanic on duty, owner took a vacation I was told....there must have been 30 bikes sitting there. Too boot, I put a down payment of 500 dollars down to get my bike done right and to show good faith. NEVER AGAIN.... And to boot, since getting my clutch done...I have a strange sound coming off the starter and will need to take it apart to figure out what they did...what a shame I would highly recommend that you find some place else to get your bike done...I was really hoping that I was going to have a new shop to deal with...I would rather drive to Chico or head to A&S and get my bike done in a reasonable amount of time, quality service and with a fair shake deal. Waiting over 35 days for my bike for a clutch job, telling me that parts have to be mailed from Germany and then jacking me around on the price was bull.....never have I experience such poor business practices. Who takes a vacation when the work load is in over load and at peak season? quote 800 and deliver over 1300? Choose and choose wisely.......That's all I have to say about that read more

I purchased a 2016 Yamaha R6 about 4 months ago to replace my my Kawasaki. Sadly, I was in an accident and the bike needed all kinds of work (replacement sub frame, pegs, shifter, clutch, and cosmetics). Instinctively, I went to the place I bought it and had a terrible experience. I immediately started searching online for another shop close by and this one was literally down the road. It was Saturday when I called and got Joe. It was getting late and I figured I wouldn't be able to see him for at least a week (again, current experience set my expectations low). Joe offered to come in on his day off (Sunday) and get my bike in his shop. That speaks a lot for the kind of shop he runs. My bike was checked in Sunday, he texted me Monday with an estimate, and had my bike back within a week. That was two days earlier than he quoted me! The entire process of my repair was seamless. He remained in contact with me via text and voice. He set the expectation for time and got my bike back early. His cost for repairs was significantly cheaper than the previous shop. My insurance was paying for everything, but this is nice to know for others as well as myself when I need additional work done. He was pickier about how the bike looked that I was. It looks like nothing ever happened and it's running like a dream. Joe is very easy to work with and takes in many types of bikes. He has your best interests in mind and keeps you in the loop. Contacted Joe about a sprocket/chain swap on my Vstrom 650. He promptly replied with price ranges for parts and labor. I let him know the parts that I was after and they arrived in a couple days. My bike was in his shop the day after the parts arrived and I was back on the road in less than 1.5 hours after showing up. This is the type of small shop you hope to find. I'm glad I did. I was in need of a new rear Q3 for my gixxer and was calling all around, and really didn't have the time to pull the wheel off myself, so I called and spoke to Joe, and he just happened to have a new one on site! 45 mins later I'm out there, and 15 mins after that I am on my way out the door. Rode right in and they got right on it! Price of tire was competitive, a few $ less than Cycle Gear, and only $30 for them to take off, change, put back on and made sure chain was perfect.
