Fantastic!! From the staff .. to the food/atmosphere .. to the price! ... Absolutely phenomenal!

We haven't found too many places like this in the area. We love being able to build our own bowls. Every single time the food tastes incredible and our family is always pleased. Every bit of the food is cooked to perfection. The staff is friendly and the restaurant is very calm and we have never had to wait for seating. This place deserves more attention. We ordered take out a week ago. The pork fried rice was lacking in flavor. My kids had the sushi and thought it was just ok. The dumpling soup was a disappointment as the broth was bland and the dumplings were overcooked. The best part was as how quick the food was ready. read more

Best sushi place in winchester! I got the ex-girlfriend roll which was so good with the mango in there. (on the left in picture) The salmon nigiri was great, and so was the cucumber roll. My roommate got the cherry roll and thought it was amazing. Crab rangoons were a good starter too! The employees were safe and wearing masks. Tasty new Asian place! Clean inside, all the bowls were under $10 and sushi under $11. I ordered the house bowl and some white tuna sushi, as well as some miso (which was delicious). I super enjoyed it and will definitely be back! read more

Nice to have good sushi without having to go into town. The interior was impressive and the service was really attentive (almost too much, my wife was asked if she wanted a refill 5 or 6 times:). The bowls were good as well and large portion sizes. You could tell there was some new restaurant hiccups but all in all well done. We will be back. read more

When something or somewhere exceeds your expectations - they deserve a great review. On a work trip, found this spot on Yelp near the hotel. I honestly expected average sushi, which was fine for takeout after a long day but this little spot exceeded my expectations. The rolls were fresh and very flavorful to go along with a nice presentation- even for takeout. The sushi pizza was delicious - I discovered this concept in SoCal many years ago and anytime I find it, I order it. So good! Service was fast, efficient and friendly. read more

I will definitely be back! We were happy with the friendly staff and cleanliness of the restaurant and knowing they recently opened we hope they keep it up. The sushi: We ordered the red bowl roll. Note from my pictures below how THIN the amount of rice is! I LOVE that. They obviously don't skimp of the fresh delicious fish and eel in this roll. I'm picky with the amount of rice used in sushi bc it makes me feel so bloated and full. So I appreciate that they let the fish take the spotlight. It was so delicious! The hibachi: The portions are huge. It doesn't look like it from my picture but you'll have leftovers when you order. The meat in our bowls (steak, chicken and shrimp) were so tender, which is hard especially with shrimp.... So overdone at most hibachi places. Well not here! I subbed the flat noodles for fried rice in the Red House Special Bowl. My hubs Lo mein bowl was super tasty too. Next time, I will ask for lo mein noodles in the Red House Special Bowl. I prefer the taste of the lo mein noodles over flat noodles. The vegetables in both my bowl and my hubs bowl were not over cooked and soggy. They were cooked to a beautiful crisp! The only reson I didn't give 5 stars is because I needed to ask for a spicy garlic sauce for more flavor to the Red House Special Bowl. We were too full to get Mochi this visit so we'll try that next time! Excited to have this as an option in Winchester and are looking forward to taking our family. read more

I had been looking forward to trying this place after seeing it being built. Red Bowl looks great on the inside. It's very clean and sanitary and the food is amazing. It was so good I've already been back a couple times. The sushi is fantastic, and there are some very interesting combos. The bowls are delicious (and the portions are good). The staff is extremely courteous (Ivy was our server on the visit where we actually sat down. She made a great impression). Oh, and the prices are great! Overall, great place. It's probably going to end up being my favorite Asian restaurant in town if they stay this way. I'll be back very soon! read more

On our way home to CT, we stopped and this restaurant was fabulous!! Our soups..Miso and Hot & Sour delish! I had two rolls and my husband the Sushi/Sashimi Combo...we loved our meals...and to top it off, green tea ice cream! We love this new sushi restaurant! We have ordered sushi for dine in and carry out and every time the rolls were delicious. We have tasted a variety of the rolls and the quality has been exceptional. When dining in, service is friendly and courteous! We have two little ones and although they can be a little rambunctious, the staff did not seem to mind :) Cleanliness: the staff where gloves and masks, and you are required to wear gloves if you decide to opt got the hibachi bar. The restaurant as a whole was very clean and welcoming. We will continue to patronize this wonderful new establishment! read more

Just hit this place for lunch after some recommendations. Should've known better as the Shenandoah Valley has never been a sushi hotspot. Both of us had sushi. Very mediocre, to the point where I am expecting to hear from mediocre's attorneys regarding a libel suit. If you know real sushi, you will be beyond underwhelmed. Sushi rice was hot! Been wanting to try this place, but had been reluctant to since the online menu excluded descriptions of the dishes. I went inside to order. The menu on paper was much more inclusive than the online version. The ordering process was confusing for take out. The hostess said to place the order in the back where the cooks were, but then one of the cooks told us to go back to the front where the hostess was. I didn't get an inviting impression. The ordering process is straight forward if you're dining inside versus take out. The food was tasty, but portions were small and heavy in oil for my taste. I recommend that the restaurant update their website to reflect the paper menu inside the restaurant. read more

After reading the reviews posted for Red Bowl, we were excited to place our first order. We picked up the order which had a very strong smell on the ride home. We were surprised at the amount of sushi given compared to the prices that they charge....not like other sushi restaurants. Need to update the amount of sushi they give to make it fair. The taste...well...not as fresh as I would have expected. We are sushi lovers so this assessment is fair at best. Also when we called in the order the employee was a little cold which I was surprised to hear. Going back?...I don't think so. read more
