My brother in law spoke highly of this place (highlights were that the nuggets and cones and honey mustard suace were to die for) and I was told I was in for a real treat. We placed our order over the phone and it was ready for us when we arrived. We ordered 1 x The Number One (1/2 lb of fresh chicken nuggets, half French fries half potato cones) and 2 x The Bigger One (3/4 lb of nuggets and fries, one of these was half fries half potato cones). Each order came with sauces and a can of soda or bottled water. Unfortunately, it seems that what we ordered was not received, we received only one order of The Bigger One, and 2 orders of The Number One instead of a second order of The Bigger One. But moving onto the food: Although it was stated for each order, that each dish was to have seasoning, that was not reflected when we went to eat. Everything needed seasoning! The chicken nuggets were yummy, they were big thick pieces with not too much breading, instead of niggets that have a thick breading and you feel you can hardly taste the chicken.. I've never had a potato cone before and basically it is a dollop of mashed potatoes that was then fried. It was so tasty! The fries were ok, felt like they were from the end of a batch when I'm done they were fried to order. The honey mustard sauce was a must! I feel like honey mustard sauce is typically so thick and gloppy, but this was a thinner sauce and still flavorful and it stuck to the food well even with the thinner texture. Where do I begin? Well delicious food, when/if your order is right. It's always packed so it's hard to double check your order, but if you don't hold up the line it's a guarantee they will screw your order up. The pricing isn't consistent at all, sometime you can go in there and feed 3 people with $20, other times you need to take out a loan. But by far my biggest pet peeve is the "boss" or whatever this sad soul calls himself. I've watched him scream at and berate his employees in a way that I would hope even prisoners at Guantanamo bay don't get spoken too. This has become our staple for Sat/Sun morning hang over food. I'm very particular with my bacon egg and cheese sandwich and they do it to perfect! Egg is always consistently cooked the same so props for that. They have a decent menu, though they are more known for their fried selection. The reason reason for 3 starts in more times than not my order has been wrong. It happens so often that we have nicknamed it the Reddi Surprise. AVOID THIS LOCATION. Absolutely horrible experience. It's unfortunate how your interaction with the staff can make you never want to return there again! Stick to any other location but the one on High Ridge Road. My husband and I were in that part of Stamford and considering we frequent the location on East Main Street, we decided to go somewhere with a familiar menu. There's a half dozen people inside and everyone is looking at each other wondering who has already ordered and who's in line. Finally the cook looks at us and decided to take our order, I told him what I wanted and he scoffed and walked away from me like I had upset him with my food choice..... when he returned he never even asked my husband what he wanted, so we waited for him to turn around so that we could place the second half of our order. After the cook disappeared a few more times and about 10 minutes later, our food was complete. We were standing at the register and the cashier asked us what we had ordered, while my husband was relaying our choices to him, the cook was standing behind the cashier looking at us with incredible hatred, it made me so uncomfortable. He even walked away cursing at us in Spanish, I couldn't believe my ears. Being the quiet and kind person that I am, I let my husband pay and we left to discuss what had just happened. The cherry on top? Our order was incorrect as well. Sad, sad, excuse for a Reddi Rooster location. Went here with my dad and brother in April during lunchtime at 1pm. The restaurant was not too busy when we came in, but got very busy as we left. I ordered a Rooster special steak Sandwich and I was pleasantly satisfied when I took my first bite. The sandwich was piled high with delicious Hanger Steak, along with sweet peppers and sautéed onions on a roll to compliment it. Overall, the sandwich was very delicious and I would highly recommend it to anyone who goes there. My dads Chicken Cutlet Italian sandwich was also very good. The mozzarella was surprisingly good for a take out place. The chicken was probably the highlight of the sandwich though. I wouldn't recommend it as much as the Steak sandwich, but it's definitely worth a try.
