I've ordered from this for about 14 years, so this is a place that's lasted a long time when many good businesses in Wilton were taken out not long after they opened their doors. It's a spot located almost across the street from the high school stadium, so this is definitely an option for those who are students, their parents, and faculty within the Wilton High School. Having come here for 14 years, there's bound to be some changes in that time. Overall, the staff is still a friendly staff that promotes that community feel although it is admittedly not quite as good as say 10 years ago. I did notice someone described this as quiet, but this is a place that gets a lot of business, so while they have their quiet moments, you are bound to meet some bustle when you're here. Also, they do keep up with the times, accepting Apple Pay as a payment method. Onto the food, what I will say is that if you're a deli who has lasted a long time in Wilton, you know you've done something right, and every time I order from here illustrates this. My favorite is their Barcelona sandwich, which is a breaded chicken cutlet with provolone, roasted red peppers, and pesto mayonnaise. The one I get is in a garlic bread sub with an addition of bacon. Slaps every time might I say, and I will hear nothing else! It's not their only menu thing I've had over the years though. They do great no matter what you get, from breakfast to lunch to dinner. The new cashier ladies they have you do have to make an extra effort to get order in for, but they're still competent enough. One change I really did not like came during COVID-19 when hours were cut everywhere. While understandable in 2020, I really wish they would go back to their pre-pandemic schedule when they were open later during the week and open on Sundays. That way, if someone in the area needed something during the evenings or those Sundays, they would have one. But yeah, the Wilton Deli is still THE Deli of Wilton and I imagine it will stay that way for the rest of my life. read more

Stopped here after work. They place was packed but the line moves quick. I have a Barcelona sandwich it was big and good. I will be back, their prices are good an quality is adequate. A serious lack of hygiene, hairnets should be implemented. Also a little bit long when it comes to making a sandwich, 25 minutes is excessive! Especially, when It only took them two minutes to prepare it and it looks like they've been prepared and 30 seconds. No napkins or cutlery for take out. Poor service! Great place any time of day ... our kids have grown up on Sausage, Egg and Hashbrown sandwiches on bagels! But the pizza, lunch specials and sandwiches are all really good. It's a good quality deli that is clean, recently renovated and offers a wide variety of food. The place can be crowded sometimes because local athletes, parents and contractors all know that Wilton Deli is the place for fast, high quality food. I just started working in Wilton a few months ago. I've been to Wilton Deli a few times and I've never been disappointed. They have a lot of veggie options which is great for me and they have shady picnic tables outside. The staff is the best though, the guys in particular. They are super accommodating and friendly. Somebody must like the place as it is generally pretty crowded at lunchtime. Selection is quite broad, but sandwiches are average and pricier than other local options you can find in the Wilton center. This is the worst deli in Fairfield County. We just stopped in to grab sandwiches on the way to Redding. First, the cashier person was so busy asking what we wanted, she didn't listen to what we actually said. Also, she's really loud. Then the sandwiches (cold) took for.flippin.ever. And when we finally got the stupid sandwiches, they were awful. The rolls were smashed flat. The cold cuts were not Boars Head and not great, and they were sliced super thick. Gross. And my friend asked for cheese. No cheese. Unfortunately, we were on a schedule, so we couldn't bring them back. These are the only people in Connecticut who can screw up ham and cheese with mayo on a roll and charge you $7 for the privilege. And to top it all off, my tummy's upset. Do. Not. Do. This. To. Having only a few minutes for lunch, I stopped by with hopes of quickly ordering a cold sandwich. I, along with the only other customer, who also ordered a cold sandwich, waited almost 18 minutes while the three kitchen staff laughed and loudly joked around. I stop here for breakfast when I am in a hurry traveling through Wilton. I have been coming here for several years. They have Green Mountain Coffee which is a big plus IMO. I often get their breakfast. It's cheap, fast, and almost always very reliably delicious. Their omelettes are fantastic. I mean who the hell wants to cook an omelette in the morning? Not me. A 3 egg omelette with toast and hash browns is like $7 IIRC. Very good deal. Too much for me to eat and I am a big guy who has quite an appetite. They have a decent selection of other offerings for lunch as well, but I come here for breakfast. One of the most telling aspects of this place is that every time I come here there are always "regulars". The guys doing hard manual labor come here. That tells you something. People like this know where the good food and the good deals are and that is definitely this place. The seating inside can sometimes be a bit crowded at busy times. They also have some other random stuff too if you want chips or candy bars or whatever else, so that's nice too. This is definitely my go to place for breakfast in Wilton. read more

We often are looking for new places to try for lunch so when Wilton Deli came up as an option I said sure let's try it. We called our order in and after customizing our 4 sandwiches the person on the phone was very careful in repeating our order back so we'd knew she got it right. Got a call from the delivery guy to make sure he came up the correct entrance and our food arrived a very short time later. My vegetarian customized sandwich was fabulous and it was exactly what I wanted. I would absolutely order from these guys again; easy ordering process, good prices, fast delivery and most importantly they got our order right. Great lunch place. read more
