My husband and I used Redi-box for our recent move from the Gold Coast to Lakeview. Rob was super prompt and helpful about dropping off the boxes and picking them up. We loved having the stackable crates to fill for our move. We used 30 of them for our 1BR+den apartment, which was about right. We went on vacation right after our move so weren't able to get completely unpacked right away. Redi-box was great about letting us keep the boxes for 2 extra weeks (we paid the additional rental fee). They even let us have an extra day when we were in a pinch at the end. At first I was worried about having to unpack all my boxes rapidly enough to get them returned. But in the end it was a great motivator to get unpacked and settled quickly rather than live out of cardboard boxes for weeks. The Redi-boxes were so convenient, protected our belongings very well and were appreciated by our movers. I'm certain they paid for themselves in the fact that they made our movers' work much faster (we were moving an entire house and used 90 boxes.) Here is a new and easier way to get through the stress of moving. -No more looking for the tattered boxes that I saved from the last move. -No more stacked, crushed boxes and damaged contents. -No more fumbling to get a grip on a box (these have handles!) I called Bobby and got a quick response. He delivered the boxes on-time and up to my second floor apartment. I ordered 30 of them and used all of them. My movers especially appreciated them because they are very compact and stackable, so that the moving truck can be loaded to the max. I think that I actually saved money on the whole deal because the move expenses add up quickly at $111 per hour plus tips, so making it easy for the movers saves money. My husband initially found Redi-Box on yelp, and we decided to give it a try for our move. Bobby is extremely friendly and professional - an all around great guy working hard with a great product that is environmentally friendly. We used 45 boxes, and they were delivered to us, clean, and very easy to use (no tape to seal them closed). Bobby also provided post-it notes to label each box so we could keep track of the contents and note where each box belonged in our new place. The time frame may seem a little limiting, but it's not. It forces you to unpack quickly, instead of having a few boxes that you never quite get around to. It's nice that the boxes stack inside of each other, so you can track your unpacking progress without taking up a lot of floor space. These are big boxes, and you can fit a lot in them - if we had used traditional cardboard boxes, we would have had to pick them up, build them, tape them closed. I'm guessing each redi-box is the same volume as 2 medium boxes. So, these may be cheaper than buying 90 boxes. Thanks Bobby - until our next move! read more

Great idea for moving! I moved from a studio to a 1 BR, so I didn't have a ton of space in my old place. Because the boxes are stackable, it was easy for me to keep the packing organized. The best part was the customer service. The online ordering is very easy, the response was quick, and on the day I had them delivered, everything was as promised. My old apt was a 4th floor walkup, so needless to say, 30 boxes was not an easy feat. But Bobby delivered them efficiently and didn't bitch about the 100 degree weather and 4 flights of stairs. After I moved to my new apt, I decided to keep 1 box for storage. There was no hassle to do this. I took pictures of my packing and posted to FB and every comment was about how "green" these boxes were, as opposed to stupid cardboard and tape. I am NOT planning on moving anytime soon, but would def use these boxes again. read more

I was very pleased with Redi-Box's performance and customer service. The business owner delivered and picked up our boxes, and he's as nice as can be. As feared, we ended up needing to keep our boxes for a few extra days (didn't finish unpacking), and we were accommodated with no extra charge. These boxes are incredibly durable, sturdy and spacious, and they cut down on some of the monumental stress of moving. Seeing stacks of dozens of plastic red bins is a lot easier on the eyes than tons of wimpy, different-sized, beat-up cardboard boxes. Not to mention eliminating the need for tape guns and paper cuts, plus the movers seemed to like handling them. Great pricing, great product, and very professional for a local, small business. Great idea, great service! Redi-box saved us so much hassle when we moved last week. It was a huge relief not having to shop for and assemble cardboard boxes. The crates arrived and were picked up on time, with great communication from Redi-box. My only minor complaint is that 30 boxes were not enough for our 1-bedroom, so we ended up scrambling a bit at the last minute. Redi-Box was the smartest decision we made when we moved and I would highly recommend their service to anybody that is moving! The driver, John was very friendly and prompt when he both delivered and picked-up the boxes, and he gave us a 30-minute "heads up" courtesy call for both appointments. We spoke to the owner, Bobby and he was very flexible with our needs and allowed us to keep the boxes an extra day - we had some issues with the delivery of our couch that set us back a day. The great thing about Redi-Boxes is they allow you to pack up your things efficiently and make it very easy to move (we hired movers and they were so happy to see we had the modular boxes because it made their job easy as well). It was also pouring rain the day we moved and not one of our items got damaged since they were protected by the plastic boxes. Since we had pre-arranged a pick-up date when we booked this service, it actually forced us to unpack quicker instead of procrastinating and having boxes laying around the new place with the mindset of "we'll get to unpacking those tomorrow". What a fabulous way to move! This is my first move where nothing was broken - thanks to the structured Redi-boxes that can be stacked without squishing the box underneath. We did have a few bigger items or oddly shaped things that required bigger cardboard boxes, but that was the exception. The move was also quicker for the movers because they didn't have to deal with an assortment of box shapes and styles. They put the boxes on a dolly and away they went. Pick up and return was easy. Redi box was recommended to me by a friend and I am so glad they did! The entire experience was simple and easy. The boxes fit A LOT! I received 20 boxes for my studio apartment move and was easily able to fit all of my belongings inside. The guy that picked up and dropped off my boxes was quick and friendly. I was also able to purchase other moving accessories with Redi Box which were delivered the same day as my boxes. Awesome! No brainer to use this service / reusable boxes. So sturdy and stackable made the move much easier. It also rained on our move date so plastic held up a lot better than cardboard would have. We got the recommended 30 boxes for a one bedroom and ended up needing a few more boxes (we're actually downsizing from 2 to 1 bedrooms so I think 30 is probably spot on normally). Since we moved ourselves we were actually able to unpack a few boxes quickly and load them up with the remaining items the move day. Also, u can rent a dolly from Redibox or, in our case, we got one from Uhaul (last minute GREAT decision) and it worked perfectly to stack boxes. All in all very happy! Shout out to John who delivers/picks up the boxes - very friendly and when my train was delayed he waited an extra 20 min for me to arrive. Thank u! My one minor comment for improvement would be for Redibox to answer the phone more consistently. I called 4 times and never got anyone on the line. I waited a day to hear back twice and I hung up the other two times when no one picked up. But overall great experience - highly recommend and will definitely use again for future moves!! read more

I just completed my second move using these guys and I couldn't be happier. If you need some extra motivation in terms of getting settled by unpacking in a reasonable amount of time, this is the way to move. I was thrilled to get an extra week to unpack just for posting a pic of my boxes to social media, too. The drop off was late by half an hour outside the 2hr scheduled window of time, and the pickup was late by an hour outside the 2hr scheduled window of time. Getting anyone at the office on the phone took several phone calls. The pickup guy also left without taking the wardrobe box, instead leaving it to block a neighbor's apartment door. I got the idea about reusable boxes from the show House Hunters and when I looked online, I found Redi-Box. It was perfect! The clean boxes arrived as scheduled, I took a week to pack, took another week to unpac and they were picked up as scheduled. My movers said they "loved it" when clients use Redi-Box. They are sturdy and do not require special closing - just close the flaps and you are good! The best decision I made for my move was using Redi-Box. I ordered 60 boxes to move my 3 bedroom apartment and I used every box. I was nervous that two weeks wouldn't be enough time to pack, move and unpack but I actually wound up ahead of schedule and had the boxes picked up early.
