I'd heard that Redmint opened a new location (have been to the original in the Marina a few times for acupuncture and massage) so decided to check out their new space, and oh, my god... so beautiful! I could just sit at the gorgeous, peaceful herbal bar and relax w a drink even without having a treatment to look forward to... That said, I did in fact go in for a massage last week and it was incredible. My practitioner told me she had been working professionally for more than 40 years, and it showed. I'm a fit young guy and usually only get massages to treat myself, and this was the sort of experience that just makes me want to become a regular customer. A bit overdue... Beautiful space, so happy this moved into my neighborhood. I wanted so badly for this to be a go-to spot for me. It's basically a serene safe haven from busy Fillmore St. Now the services..wow, it was bad. REAL BAD. TR is nice, but I don't come in for nice personality. She is simply not skilled and while she is good at asking for feedback, it's clear she does not have the experience, talent, or skillset to efficiently offer a massage service to someone. I booked 50 minutes and came out feeling less relaxed and wondering where the time went because she spent 0 minutes on any part of my lower body besides a few stretches. in what world does a 50 minute massage include 0 parts of the lower body..unless you specifically ask for that? even if folks ask for a "focus area", there is still some time spent on other areas. and wow, she moved at a snail's pace. I was extremely frustrated that by treating myself, I instead wasted both time and money. This space charges premium pricing, but doesn't offer a premium environment. When I went to pay, there was another redmint employee just hanging out in the counter top area. Sitting where guests/patrons would typically relax .I wanted to give feedback, but it just felt awkward to do so. Hopefully others experience something better than me. I was initially apprehensive about acupuncture, but she took the time to address my concerns and made sure I was comfortable throughout the entire session. The massage and concierge staff are very nice, but I have had a horrible experience with management, and do not recommend coming here for that reason. A quick summary of my horrific experience: 1. They randomly started charging me twice a month for my monthly membership. Everytime I called or went in person to get this corrected, they told me someone would contact me, and this never happened. 2. When I finally got in contact with someone 3 months later, they told me they would refund me all the charges, including the remaining credits in my account. They only refunded me 4 of 6 charges, and not the remaining credits in my account. 3. I went in to get a massage to use up the last of my remaining credits, they told me I would not be charged while they figured out the charges, had me wait 2- minutes to document my experience where they even filmed me going through my credit charges. Turns out they ended up charging me for the full service anyways. I've sent multiple emails, calls, and still no one has returned my calls. At this point they owe me almost $1k, which is extremely frustrating. I don't even want to go to Redmint anymore, I just want my money back. read more

Got the TMJ massage with Daniel and it was a really wonderful experience and I would absolutely recommend this place. Exceptional service and staff so friendly and welcoming. Felt so amazing after my massage, it's very hard to find places that focus on TMJ massage as a specialty. Many people don't realize how much stress and tension they carry in their jaw, neck, shoulders, and on certain trigger points on the head can be released. I wanted to give Redmint Fillmore 5 stars, but I cannot, given the customer service I have received on several occasions. Everyone has been taught to say, "I understand your frustration" - the empathy isn't genuine, which is more frustrating (and I speak as a former customer service trainer). The latest example - I got an email saying my appointment was changed. I didn't change it, nor did the email explain why Redmint changed it. So, of course, I called. While the answer was somewhat satisfactory, I asked why the email didn't include the reason, which may have prevented me from calling to learn. The answer is, "I understand your frustration. We are not able to change the system." My response, "You have my email, my cell to text or call. Why didn't you use any of those methods to let me know." The response was, "I will put that in your record." Because I am the ONLY person wanting to know why Redmint would change his/her appointment proactively?!?! Came here for a 75 minute facial at 2PM on a Tuesday, was pretty empty (as is to be expected). My facial was with Diane and it was overall an enjoyable experience. The ambiance of Redmint is extremely lovely, the front desk staff were really nice, and Diane was very nice and knowledgeable as well. Taking off a star because I don't know that it's the best facial I've had for the price. I did feel like there was a very lengthy period of physical exfoliation involved, which I generally try to avoid and wasn't a fan of (though, this is probably much more on me for not speaking up during the facial). The experience itself was very relaxing and quite marvelous but I didn't feel that my skin looked significantly better afterwards. However, I did feel very relaxed after and think I'll try coming here for a massage sometime. read more

Could not get past the front desk. I was excited to try Redmint because so many of my favorite spas in the city have closed down over the years. But the front desk person was very disengaged and unprofessional and could not even answer BASIC questions I had about the facial I wanted to book like "does it include shoulder and neck massage?" When I asked this her response was one of a very annoyed and clueless person who has received little to no training on how to treat customers in what I thought (at least based on their prices) was a luxury business. She told me she'd have someone call me back that was more knowledgeable the same day to answer my questions but I never got a call back. So I guess they don't need my business. I ended booking an appointment at Senspa where staff are more customer service oriented and very comfortable answering questions and when they can't they will make sure you get a call back and not just shrug off your business. Disappointing given the prices of Redmint's services (same as Senspa's). I actually expected a better level customer service but I guess my expectations were just too high. read more

I found the spa of my dreams! I was prompted by Nudge to check out this new spa. Little did I know it has everything you would want in a spa that so many miss the mark. Looking at the photos online and reviewing their menu of services they offer massage, facials and acupuncture which made me sign up immediately for their monthly service. Walking in the spa it exudes the best ambiance! Whomever decorated thought of every detail. Then I was warmly greeted by the GM Markos and offered a beverage. They have a menu of healthy options at their bar. Next I was whisked away to my massage appointment with Ivan. Ivan is very talented in sports medicine and various other modalities. (I didn't know this going in and what a great surprise!) He found and relieved knots in my body that others barely make a dent. I walked out of that massage feeling like a new person and so well care for. I booked my next appointment with Ivan and can't wait to try all the other services. Have been going to the Union location for awhile and one of my favorite practitioners (Diane) moved to the Fillmore location, so I just went for my first time this weekend. Both locations are a serene oasis off of a busy SF street, but the Fillmore location takes it to a whole new level! It is absolutely stunning with a Himalayan salt wall, an herbal bar where you can get a drink, and there is more space to relax before or between appointments. There's even an outdoor garden space out back! The face and body glow acupuncture is my favorite treatment so far, but I can't wait to go back and try the others. Highly recommend! read more
