They have many different rooms and many different therapists available to ensure scheduling flexibility. I dislike other places where you have to book over a week in advance because they only have 1-2 people working at a time. My schedule is always hard to predict, so i appreciate how easy it is to schedule here. The staff here are all amazing and very friendly. Unfortunately, my first experience here was really disappointing, which is a shame because I genuinely wanted to like this place, especially since it's so close to home. I had booked a couples massage as a birthday gift, and just a few hours after making the reservation, I received a text saying we needed to be moved to their sister location. Not a huge deal (it's only a few blocks down the street) but then they followed up asking if we were okay with one male and one female therapist (I had originally requested female therapists only). Still, I decided to roll with it. The day of the appointment, I got a text an hour before saying they were running late and asked if we could come 30 minutes later than originally scheduled. At this point, the back-and-forth was starting to get frustrating. Then, just minutes later, I got a phone call asking us to come 15 minutes earlier than originally planned and was told that now only male massage therapists were available. I was so confused, but I didn't want the stress to ruin the day, so I agreed and just hoped for the best. When we arrived, I asked again about the therapists, and the person at the front told me it would be one male and one female, which worked for us. But when it was time for the massage, two male therapists walked in. At that point, I was just tired of the constant miscommunication. To top it off, the massage itself was one of the worst I've ever had. I had requested a lighter touch due to soreness, then asked for slightly more pressure and the therapist went from barely-there to way too intense with no middle ground. It felt more painful than relaxing, and I left feeling worse, not better. Overall, they really need to get more organized. Booking a massage shouldn't be this stressful or confusing. Sadly, I won't be coming back which is such a bummer, especially since the location is so convenient. read more

I had my dental licensure exam the day before my massage. 7 hours killing my neck, back, and shoulders as I drilled on plastic teeth. My entire body was dead. Thankfully, my partner booked a 90 minute couple's massage for us so I could recuperate--$250 through Groupon, which is a steal in SF! Our appointment was 10 AM on a Sunday and parking was actually easy to find. The place is well-decorated and the staff is super nice. They offered us water and madeleines while we waited. The massage room itself is clean, with spa music playing in the background. The masseuse asked how much pressure I wanted and what areas to focus on. I asked for medium and to focus on my back. Within the first few minutes I asked her to go harder because I could feel how bad my knots were. I could tell that she was really focusing on the areas that needed the most work, instead of just going through the motions like many other massage places. I think she spent almost half the time on my back, ~20 minutes on the knots in my shoulder blades alone, which I desperately needed. The entire massage lasted a bit longer than 90 minutes. I've been to spas where they massage me too hard and I end up with bruises, while I've left others feeling like they barely massaged me. But my partner and I really enjoyed ourselves here and felt like we got our money's worth. If you go through Groupon, it's a really great deal! Instead of deep tissue this should have been called elbow massage bc that's all she used. I booked with Hive massage down the street but then as other reviewers said got a text to go to this location. I didn't make a big deal of it since if it's same owner I was expecting same quality. I was very disappointed and would be surprised if the person has a license to massage. Asked for deep tissues with focus on back, neck hands and arms from computer use. but there was so much oil at first it was too slippery. After I said something she wiped it off and then gave me the weirdest massage. It was all over the place with nothing of what I asked for. She focused on my biceps and gave me like some painful towel wringing action and then didn't even touch the major muscles in the forearms that are most sore. So much force on biceps it gave me bruises. lol. I get deep tissue massages often. Elbows are used but not exclusively. Hands and thumbs are used to break up the knots. Some kind of rhythm and routine in a session also is a sign they are good. Trained masseuse asks you from the beginning if pressure is good and if you're comfortable through out especially if you voiced concern. They know how the muscles run in your body. To top it off, I came out smelling like dryer sheets. The scent was way too strong. Unfortunately won't be back here and won't be booking at Hive any more either. read more

There wasn't much guidance when we arrived--they just pointed us to the room and closed the door behind us, so we weren't sure if we were supposed to change into the provided gowns or wait for instructions. A little more communication would've helped. The massage itself was relaxing in parts, but a bit uncomfortable at times--especially when they focused on the tops of my feet, which felt more painful than soothing. The therapist was very kind and clearly experienced--she knew exactly where my muscles were tight and worked through all the problem areas. She even walked on my legs, which was intense, and also incorporated some stretching that really helped loosen everything up. I felt sore during the session, but afterward I had a huge sense of relief. She also spent time on my head, neck, and feet, which made the experience even better. I've been to plenty of massages where they barely apply pressure but here is where it's at! She really got deep into the muscles and worked out every knot with the perfect amount of pressure. If I could give a negative review I WOULD I purchased a couples massage from this business through Groupon, and my experience has been extremely frustrating. After scheduling on Valentine's Day, I made a courtesy call to Regent Thai Massage to let them know I was on my way and running 15 minutes late. WITHOUT HESITATION the merchant canceled my appointment and then refused to issue a refund and proceeded to tell me I NEED TO RESCHEDULE AT A 50% FEE!!! I did NOT cancel like they repeatedly claim to do so. I tried to reason with them and ask for a shorter service since I already booked the massage from 12pm -1pm . MIND YOU I called at 11:14 AM. They were extremely unprofessional and hostile. Despite providing documentation and attempting to resolve the issue through Groupon, the merchant has been uncooperative and has provided misleading information, which has delayed my refund. I cannot recommend this business due to their lack of transparency and poor customer service. Potential customers should exercise caution when making purchases, as obtaining a refund may be difficult or impossible. I have filed a complaint with BBB . DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM. They are in the business of scamming people & a very dishonest business lying to Groupon and would not doubt they will try to cover their unprofessionalism on YELP. really didn't want to write this review, but as someone who relies heavily on Yelp to find good services, I felt it was important to share my experience. I visited Regent Thai Massage for the first time yesterday to take advantage of their $99 special. Booking was easy, and I was happy they had same-day availability. The staff was welcoming and kind, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, the massage itself fell short. I've had well over 50 massages in my life, and this was one of the least relaxing experiences I've had. The masseuse rushed through the session, used an excessive amount of oil, and mostly just rubbed her arm back and forth very quickly over each area. Her phone also vibrated several times during the massage, which made it hard to unwind. I was really hoping for a relaxing experience to treat myself on my day off, but I left disappointed. Communication and customer service. I treated my boyfriend last Friday May 1st,2026 to a deep tissue massage. I had taken care of the service and tip as he was inside. Upon him exiting he got charged by the masseuse . The communication between staff needs to improve. I went up to the lobby to ask why the double charge and the language barrier made it a bit difficult but we were able to come to an agreement about getting a refund. The masseuse was apologetic but when I asked where Linda was she told me she was no longer there. I called later that evening since I hadn't heard from Linda at all and the same masseuse answered my call and was very rude asking me if I was calling to make a complaint. I told her no, I wanted to touch base with Linda about what had happened and she rudely said she's busy goodbye. I got the refund 3 days later but never heard from Linda. I take this to be very unprofessional on her part and will not be referring nor will be returning here again. read more
