That may have been the worst massage I've ever had, and I've gotten massages from malls. I went in for a prenatal massage and asked the masseuse three times to increase the pressure. She laughed every single time I asked, but never adjusted the pressure. I paid for an hour to basically have lotion put on me. Decided to check out this spot and I'm glad that I did! I've been here a couple times and leave feeling relaxed. I tried the Thai massage and it is rejuvenating but is not like your typical massage - there's stretching and pressure points involved so it can feel slightly painful if you're not used to it. But it does increase the blood flow which is the point of the massage. They do offer a combo option where you can do part Swedish and part Thai which is my go to option. Before the massage, you're given a change of fresh clothes to change into. Then, you're escorted to the waiting room which is quiet and also had snacks and drinks. I booked a couples massage (oil massage) and my masseuse made a point to deeply target areas that I wanted her to focus on - I can't remember the last time my shoulders/back were this relaxed and loose! Small space with a very clean and professional experience - you start in the changing room where you can lock up your belongings and change into a warm robe and flipflops, and then wait in a central area that has hot tea and snacks before you're brought into your room for the massage. Note: the massage bed is heated but the room got a little cold for me towards the end, and the walls are a little thin (you can hear doors closing and other noise in the space). Went there yesterday for couples massage : 2 hours sessions each. First the good part : very clean facility , and exceptionally great oil massage for me. I gave 3 starts rating as an average for 1: star or 0 for facial and 5 stars for massage . First of all , when I booked for 2 sessions for each of us , they said you can come and customize and suggested facial and oil massage for me and Thai massage and anything that he can choose after going there. When we reached there , the staff was confused , said the Facial person was out but within 2 mins arranged facial with the same masseuse (which I think wasn't expert with the facial ) again our experience with massages were great , but facial was really bad , i did not feel relaxed at all during the facial , she barely touched my face for entire one hour session , did not touch my neck at all, no initial clean up , steaming the face , cleaning black heads etc , even after all this my skin felt extremely irritated and broke out heavily in just hours. On top of all this our session was 220 for each , but charged 250 each with some ridiculous reason , whereas was clearly mentioned on phone it was 220 each. read more

Wowzer. I love everything about this place. The atmosphere is definitely calming and the waiting room is spectacular. They have treats and hot tea while you wait, but remember it's a quiet zone, so bask in the ambiance. I scheduled a Thai Massage knowing that I needed to get a few knots out of my calves, shoulders and back. The therapist AP was awesome. Not only did he get the knots out, but I felt so relaxed. My back took a beating that I was looking for. F me up! As we got halfway through the session he did some crazy moves that popped my hip and back. Yuuuuussss! I was so relieved to get those kind out and I most definitely dozed off. As the session ended he told me where all my tense spots were and taught me stretches I could do to help loosen the tension. The entire place is spotless, clean, fresh and relaxing. It's not your typical spa where you'll have a sauna, steam room and full locker room with showers, but this place is great, ideal for those that want to get in and out. They do have a shower if you ask. They have a table with hot tea, water, fruits and some small refreshments while you wait. My masseuse was great! I went with the neck, shoulder and back combo, and she worked out some tough areas and my muscles felt so relaxed and loose right after. I rarely get Thai massages so this was a great experience. I took my mom to Thy Spa to kick off her birthday celebration and she enjoyed her massage. We both had the Thai-Oil Combination Massage, Back, Neck. It was pricey, but the massage was good. We loved how they had a foot cleansing ritual first before the massage. Both of our masseuses were strong and professional. The spa is clean and had tea, water, and snacks. The only downside is that they have just a tiny locker room, with no amenities, changing room, or even a vanity for freshening up after the massage. This is more of an in and out massage spot than a spa. My husband and I had a chance to take a day trip to San Francisco a few weekends ago and love a good massage. We decided to try the pamper and energize 3hrs sessions because life is short! And it was wonderful! We have both been stressed at work - tech life - and this was the most wonderful treat ever. I had Nick and he had Joan, I believe? The foot wash was a fun surprise and the inside of the spa takes you immediately into vacation mode. The art on the wall is also very beautiful. Happy but have to knock off a star because my appointment was for Oil Massage, Foot Massage, and Head Massage...but unfortunately, I did not get a head massage. Eve was so good, so strong, however, she focused on my left back (she felt a knot I guess? this knot is NOT bothering me at all) and she spent a long, long, long time on that spot. I did not ask her to do that. When she asked me "where do you want me to focus?", that back was not one of the areas. Just to reiterate, she is very good and strong....just a bit disappointed that I was looking forward to the head massage and did not get it. She put a towel on my head and gave it a few squeezes and the end haha. I asked her, was that the head massage? She said yes. Would I go back? Yes, absolutely! But, I will make sure before we start the massage sesh, that we are on the same page about what comes with my massage appointment. Honestly, a head and foot massage to me is a must! The back can be on the backseat haha. One thing that is weird....for a place like this, (nice place, it's not a mall chair massage place), $200 plus tips for the massage package, you don't get a sheet to cover your body... you get a towel and it does not cover your whole body.....my feet were cold (the room was cold) and it does not feel good on your skin.....it feels rough, unlike sheets. I think they should give you a sheet just like the other spa places. It really does take away some of the relaxing experience.....kind of a bummer....because of this, have to knock off another star. Unfortunately, I have to give my most recent experience a one-star review. For context, I have gone to many spas and experienced many different massage styles both in the US and abroad. I came to Thy Spa a few months ago where I received a massage from a masseuse (whom I will call by her first initial, 'E'). The facilities are clean, and there is hot tea and snacks, which are nice. The massage with E wasn't bad, so I decided to come back today to try a different masseuse (I'll use her first initial, 'J'). The front desk booked my massage for a "Head, Shoulder, Back" massage at $110, 60 minutes, for a Monday. Things started out really well. J was friendly and I thought I might like to come back to her as a return client. I told her my problem areas were my shoulder blade area and that I needed a lot of work for tension in my back. Here's what I experienced: Elbow in the back at the same 5 points in my back, over and over for about 20 minutes. Here's the extra strange part: between each application of the elbow, she would feel around on my back lightly (almost like a light tickle) trying to find something. I wasn't sure if she was actually trying to find a problem spot or just trying to fill up the time, because I have *never* experienced this before. Literally half the time was her brushing her fingers around on my back instead of actual massage. After the elbow-patting-back routine, she then told me to flip onto my side where she proceeded to do the same - feel around with her hands lightly, almost like tickling me, and then applying an elbow in my side around the armpit area. It was very strange and I don't see what this had to do with treating my back or shoulders. I told her I was also ticklish on my side where she was working, but she proceeded to keep going. After 30 minutes into the service, I was feeling a little fed up and was tempted to leave. But I decided to share again, gently, that I really could use some more help with my upper back. In response, in the last 10 minutes or so of the service, she had me flip on my back again and repeated the elbow-in-back-patting move. Overall, she probably got to about 30% of my upper back area - no exaggeration. Then she said the service was done and left the room. I felt tenser after service than before. At least E was nice enough to offer some water. I feel really ripped off. This was maybe comparable to a chair massage you'd get in a mall -- and I've even had better there. Definitely not worth the $110. After the service, I politely conveyed my concerns to the front desk. The woman suggested that it was a matter of client preference and that I could be happier with a different masseuse. While I agree I would be much happier with a different provider, I'm also concerned that the person I received service from also wasn't qualified for the job. It felt like she had no idea what a proper back massage entailed -- helping remove tension, knots, so forth...listening to the client. Overall, I'm disappointed. If anyone were to ask me and insisted on going to this spa, I would say stay away from booking J. read more

Visited Thy Spa on 15 November 2020 as a self-treat for my birthday weekend. As these are COVID-19 times, the staff all wore masks, as did the patrons. The staff suggested I arrive up to half an hour before my scheduled appointment to allow time to relax. Upon arrival, was greeted by the friendliest of hosts and the Thy Spa Director. Was informed they had just opened 6 days earlier. Completed a simple intake form and then was escorted beyond the reception area. The new and elegant interior was pleasant and relaxing. The staff provided clothing or robes to change into appropriate for the type of treatment. Each of two changing rooms had lockers to secure your personal effects and sandals to wear. The waiting area had comfortable seating and a variety of light refreshments. The staff knew it was my birthday and pre-arranged a card and chocolates in my treatment room to enjoy during the preliminary foot washing - a nice extra touch. I chose the "indulgence" package including a 90-minute oil massage and 30 minute foot massage. The therapist was attentive and responsive. The temperature was comfortable and overall environment pleasant. The service was very good and I left feeling refreshed. The online booking experience and the billing process were straightforward. One reason drives me to write this review is the therapist Ms. Judy. She is an excellent therapist, and I really want to write a fair review for her. I was hesitant to book my first appointment with Judy because of a previous review, but after the 1.5 hours oil massage session with her. I was impressed by her skill. Her style is calm and smooth. As a person who prefers Swedish style massage rather than deep tissue, she is one of my favorite therapists now. I have also had oil massage sessions with Ms. Eve and Ms. Fay here. They both are awesome therapists. To me, Ms. Fay is more towards to deep tissue & strong hands style, and Ms. Eve is well-rounded & balanced with a very nice flow of rhythm for her movements.
