I will never come back here. I came in for a set of acrylic nails, the lady I had never cut my cuticles and never even cleaned under my fingernails. She put on one of my nails crooked and then blamed my finger for being sideways. She then put on two coats of nail polish at which point I could still see the nails underneath. Then I moved to another lady who was supposed to only put on a topcoat but instead put on another layer of polish and then a topcoat. The topcoat barely covers the entirety of my nails. This is my mom's and my go to nail salon. Helen, the owner is fabulous. Jenny is one of the best people I have ever had do a manicure pedicure. Tony is gewat for shellacs and acrylics. All of the employees are personable and professional. I also get my eyebrows and lip waxed here. They always do a great job. My skin is pretty sensitive and they have this calming lotion they apply after that reduces my redness more than any other waxing place I've been to. I also think this nail salon is a great value. My pedicures last three to four weeks and my manicures last two to three weeks. That is with regular polish! I highly recommend this nail salon. read more

I so badly wanted to write a great rating today, unfortunately I can't. My young daughter and I went in for a girls afternoon. When pulling into the parking lot the employees were all in the parking lot, I guess it's better than sitting around watching TV. You're hard pressed to find an English speaking person in this establishment. My daughter opted for a manicure, pedicure, polish and flowers on her fingers. Her polish was poorly done and flowers were barely recognizable as flowers, they were just a bunch of dots. Her total price came out to be $25 which I don't see as unreasonable. Initially they told me that her service was $50, I think the shocked look on my face was a bit much for them. I opted for a simple pedicure and polish, my total service resulted in a $25 charge.....this is a bit steep in my opinion, considering I looked at the price board and it was $13 for a pedicure. Today of all days I was not in the mood to argue with them, instead I'll opt to never go here again. They also have the establishment plastered with signs saying "we'll gladly take visa/mastercard but prefer cash or checks" for some reason the check part screams we're going to steal your identity. I made the mistake of going in on a "we'll make up a price day" Next time I'll drive to Everett where they know how to do nails, and what a reasonable price is!!!!! read more

I would have given 3 stars, but my experience today dropped it down to 2. I went at the beginning of February and got a shellac manicure. They took me in last minute, let my son stay in his stroller next to me, and they were quick- it looked nice and the gel lasted 3 weeks. No complaints there. As far as nails- it was great! Now, the things I didn't like: 1. The person doing my nails tried to get me to set up appointments for more manicures before they were even done with the first one. I get it that the rent in RR is expensive and they want repeat business, but geez! Have some patience and finish the manicure you're working on before trying to book new ones. 2. My nails are DESTROYED after that shellac. I took them off the same way I took off any other shellac, and my nails underneath are absolutely awful. It's going to take me at least 6 months if not more to get my nails back to the way they were. 3. I went in today to get my friend a gift card for her birthday. The lady who sold it to me couldn't bother to put down her donut for 2 minutes to sell it to me! She was holding the greasy thing the entire time she interacted with me, and she was chewing it as she was ringing me up. I don't care if it was her lunch break or snack or whatever...there were 3 other employees just sitting there doing nothing. They could have sold me the gift card, or she could have put down the food and acted normal. I thought it was so gross and unprofessional to eat, chewing like a cow, while trying to ring me up. It made me feel like I was inconveniencing her by being in the store during her lunch time. She was literally working one-handed stuffing her face, talking with her mouth full of food- I'm not exaggerating here- I was super grossed out! read more

Products: OPI Service: The owner was very accomodating. Asked how I had heard of them (friend in the hood) and made sure I was happy with my service after. Prices: A little steep compared to what I am used to in Ballard, but they are the only place on top of the Ridge, so to be expected. they charged me $25 for a fill and $8 for my daughters toe polish change (with flower design). read more

Purchased: I got a manicure and the deluxe pedicure. Pros: -The pedicure was amazing, and the technician was great. She really put the time into doing a good job. -The manager or owner was super nice. Cons: -The only slightly disappointing thing was I got a young nail technician to do my French manicure and I had to ask her to fix a few spots as the white did not connect to other side. I think she may have been newer or just didn't care. Recommendation: This is my favorite nail salon, and the shellac lasted for two full weeks. Other places I've gotten it done lasted for 1-1.5 weeks before they started chipping as I'm hard on my hands. So if your near, I'd highly recommend it. read more

Please do not patronize this salon. The second I set foot inside the unbearable smell of products overwhelmed me; I don't believe the salon is ventilated. I was met by the surly owner. Went in to get some acrylic removed off my nail, the length was already cut down by myself at home && there was a few nails that were already off.Cindy sat me down then started to immediately file the dry acrylic off without any soaking or anything ! It was my first time here so I assumed This was a different technique. When she got down to almost my nail bed, she pulled out her nail kit and grabbed a nail. I knew Immediately she was going to start pulling off my nails !! I watched Her grab the fake nail and she jammed it between the acrylic and my nail bed till she hurt me ! After the 3rd time that she hurt me tearing and pulling off the acrylic, I finally Asked her why she's not soaking it in acetone first!?? She then threw her tools down and started to tell me something but she stopped herself! She then came back with the correct tools (acetone, bowel, && towel) and continues to huff at me anytime she had to replace and throw away her tip! Which was only once because there wasn't even that much acrylic left ! She was done super fast after and I went To pay, she was trying to charge me the full 20$ for a soak removal !!! I said No because she was tearing and ripping apart my nails for a good 20minutes before I had To tell her about soaking them !!! She said fine she will only charge me $15! I paid Because my nails were technically removed but I will Never go back to this place ! ! I will never come back here. I made an appointment for 4pm and got there on time. Was told to wait. 10 minutes passed and a walk in came in of 3 people. They are helped immediately. I am still waiting as they get pedicures and manicures. Finally, 20 minutes pass and someone finally helps me. Then begins the most painful acrylic removal of my life. No joke, my husband was holding my hand and I was squeezing it for dear life as they tore up my nails. After they got the acrylics off, the rest of the shellac manicure was just as bad. My nails look like I did them myself, only shaped worse. I asked for square and it's so sloppy and crooked. Not to mention their shellac machine was oddly super hot. The prices are also way too expensive for such a bad job. Also the manicurist tried to tear off a hangnail with his finger and ended up tearing my skin making me bleed. I didn't even get an apology. I'm having the worst luck with nail salons. If my meager expectations are too much for local salons to handle, I need to lower my standards, I guess. I went to RR Nails for a fill and pedicure yesterday. The person who did my nails was literally the worst nail tech I've ever had. Very nice person but sorely lacking nail skills. My nails are uneven, wavy and not tapered on the sides. They literally look like something a first-day student did--or a child. The person who did my nails was shaking the entire time. I never said anything to the person because s/he was kind and really did try. Unfortunately, I'm really not interested in someone who's trying since I'm paying for a professional service. The tech filed the side of my pinky nail so much that it looks ridiculous and hurts. When I pointed out how it looked the response was to put as much super glue on the nail as possible and then file that down. When I got home, I had to remove excess nail polish from my fingers and cut off a couple of hang nails I was sure were going to be dealt with at the salon but weren't. Basically, I need to go to another salon this weekend to get this mess fixed. Guess I'll go to one I've already been to, but a lesser evil. I'm debating whether or not I will contact the salon about my appointment or if I'll just keep searching for a salon that consistently does quality work AND doesn't jerk me around with appointments. They took their time with me and did a great job. A great little nail salon! I tried it after reading reviews here on Yelp and went to see Jenny. She did a great job on my nails. She was quick, efficient and my acrylics look amazing! They are very thin and natural looking, which is what I go for. In fact, later that day when I was out shopping, I had a sales clerk compliment me and say how amazing they looked. Jenny was very sweet and talked to me about her young son. We shared pictures of our kids and she seemed genuinely interested in getting to know me. This is always nice, and I enjoyed talking to her. My only complaint, and the reason it got 4 stars out of 5, is that their nail dryer up front does not work well. After sitting under it for more than 5 minutes, my nails were still not dry and I smudged them as I got into my car, even though I was being careful. That's a bummer, but now I know and will mention it to them next time I'm in. read more

The last two times I went in for a pedicure I had one of the younger girls that do a really good job. Unfortunately, when they are ready to put the polish on, the owner(older lady)steps in to do this. I have been unhappy with this because she has had to re-do the polish and she is always scraping it with her fingernails and it's messy when I leave. This last time as she was telling my gal she was going to take over, I asked for the original gal to finish. It didn't seem to go over very well and there was a lot of back and forth between them. The only person who can be trusted with Shellac manicure there is Tony. Everybody else is either inexperienced with Shellac or just does not have enough skills. Pedicures are OK (depending of who you get). I've been to this salon at least 10 times and can say that the service is becoming worse and worse. The last time I went, Tony was on vacation and another technician did my Shellac manicure. She cut me and also had to re-do two nails twice, because the polish was bubbling. Overall, a sloppy job. I did not say anything about other nails that did not look great, because it was obvious, she could not do it any better. Also, last time I was there, they microwaved smelly food in the microwave at the back and it smelled pretty bad in the salon (even with the door opened). I love this place I wish I had a 10 star option! Helen (I think she's the owner) is just to die for she is so sweet and kind and calls you by your first name. They do such a good job on nails they really take their time and make sure each nail matches and is to your liking. Also just today I purchased two gift cards for my family members to get pedicures. The pedis are only $25 and last about 45 min! They give great massages on the legs and are super clean between each pedicure. My nails turned out very lumpy and uneven. They are all different shapes and lengths. The top coat is extremely uneven and splotchy. They put the acrylic so far away from the bed of my nail that I will definitely have to get them refilled in a week. These are the worst nails I have ever had and I am extremely disappointed:/ I said I would like square shape and every nail is a different shape. For $37 I would have thought they would be decent. I went to Redmond Ridge Nails for the first time recently and I was very pleasantly surprised. I had been wasting my time and money trying other places. RRN's is really a great place to go. I thought the price for a mani/pedi was a bit higher than most nail salons ($38) but they inlcude a salt scrub in the pedi so not too bad. The place was very clean and the people friendly and professional. I got a manicure from Tony that still looks great days later and Vivian gives a good pedicure - loved the massage. I love Redmond Ridge Nails! I've been going there practically since the day they opened - and I just won't go any where else. They keep the place scrupulously clean, neat and organized and I like that! Whenever I walk in the front door, I am always greeted in a friendly manner and I always feel welcome. Over the years, I have had every kind of artificial nails and I always get a pedicure and am tickled with the skill and ability of each of the technicians. I just love how pampered I feel during my visits. The vibrating chairs are in good working order and they feel wonderful. My pedicures are always beautiful and the foot and calf massages are heavenly. It's always a treat to go to the Ridge. I've even brought my husband and two teen-age sons in for pedicures - and they love em too! You just can't beat this place. Do yourself a favor and let yourself relax for an hour in their chair. I like how you can walk in and they'll be really busy but will work really hard to fit you in. The owner is very friendly and works hard to remember your name. The grandma is the owner, but the daughter and son-in-law and grandpa also work there. You'll often find the young granddaughter walking around. While getting acrylics Helen burned seven of my fingers and then when I told her how bad it hurt she told me that it was my skins fault and handed me off to her daughter without saying anything.
