I've always have come here for my mani's and pedi's, but just recently started doing dip powder nails. Everyone here is very friendly, the salon is very clean, they always try to fit you in and I've been very pleased with my experiences here. I've only had two ok experiences with the same gal--she went to town on my cuticles which were sore the next day. There's a lot of talented ladies here but this time I asked for Connie specifically. She's great! She did an amazing job on my ombré dip nails. Typically I stick with the same neutral colors, no designs, but I asked her about Ombré nails and she encouraged me to try it and recommended some colors. No idea why this place has such a high rating on Google reviews. Very mediocre experience. I was not offered a beverage, and there was no ventilation whatsoever. This was an issue, because the salon is super dusty, dirty, and very shabby looking. Literally piles of dust on the floor, and behind the chairs. Place needs a deep cleaning. They didn't bother to take their Christmas decorations down, and all their plants were overgrown and dying. The chairs don't work for massage, and the "deluxe" pedicure experience was sub-par from others at nearby salons. The ladies seemed very unhappy and were not talking to each other at all. The manicurist got nail file dust all over my clothes while filing, and didn't try to clean it off or even apologize. She also did a sloppy paint job and I had to have her fix it and add another top coat. After the service, they all just sat around with their phones and AirPods and completely ignored me. Mind you, I was the ONLY customer there. How rude. After all of this, they charged me $80 for a basic manicure and deluxe pedicure. They had the audacity to chastise me for not wanting to tip them. Tips are for service that is above and beyond. Not for poor quality service. Crazy! I would not recommend this place, nor will I be back. read more

Sloppy trimming, even sloppier paint job, with nonchalant response to errors made. While cleaning my cuticle the lady was heavily involved in chatting with another lady on the next booth over and failed to pay a reasonable amount of attention with me and ended up painting my joints with cuticle oil instead. From ripping to pulling I felt some minor burning sensation which I kept to myself. End result of my cuticle is as if I'm a serial cuticle biter who hasn't missed a meal or two. Polish weren't even and it had bubbles from not brushing excess amount off before application. It also had this deflated balloon effect that occurs only when you apply too much of the polish onto your nails before the base set dries, haven't seen since my middle school days. When I showed these to the manicurist, she simply said let it dry, be careful and it'll go away... I'm not a professional but I don't see how bubbles trapped under topcoat or the wrinkles in my polish will go away, if I just "be careful" I even prepaid to prevent smudging and did not touch anything else after we finished, so I don't see how I could be more careful. Based on the polish job itself, I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone I know. read more

This place is GREAT I love going here. I was introduced to it by a friend about a year ago and I've been going to them ever since! My typical day here is getting a manicure with shellac nails, and there have so many variety of colors! I always go for darker colors, but they have a great selection of brighter colors for the summer and spring too! My favorite part is they take really good care of you. I've broken my nail completely in half before and they helped me fix it by using acrylic to keep it in place until it's healed. They do an amazing job with the acrylic, however I prefer to shape my nails in an almond shape when I have acrylic so that it looks more natural. In addition, they always give me tips on how to improve my nail health and what color would look best. As for pedicure, I've only done it twice because my feet are very ticklish, but the two times I've done it barely tickled! It was relaxing and the scrub feels great. For me pedicures are a great "pick-me-up" when I want to treat myself. I've never been disappointed going here and I now forever a regular! I highly recommend coming here. read more

The woman who worked on my nails took careful attention to fix the poor quality work that had been done and then graciously declined payment for the fix. She made my day! This is why I need a iphone with the yelp application. I would have checked to make sure they were up to par before I ever handed over my precious nails to this evilness! I was in a rush, I was meeting my boyfriend's business partner and wife for dinner that night and my nails were in rough shape. I thought huh why not just get them done right now, right here. I could have had the five year old daughter of the business partner do my nails and they would have turned out better. She even wants to be a manicurist, just ask her. I would have been adding to her future at least. So resist the urge, ignore the grow out and keep driving. They did so much damage that I truly should get a whole new set put on. I think of the Juanita Salon is my local barbershop even though the name says otherwise. So, I think of Lynn as my barber. She always does a great job. With prices like $17 for a haircut, it's not really in what I consider to be the "salon" price-range. And the price just recently went up, it had been $16 for years. On the other hand, my wife thinks of the place as the salon. Her prices are similarly reasonable. Lynn cuts and dyes her hair as well, so we have some interesting three-way conversations over the weeks because we're never there at the same time. There are a couple of the haircut/salon chains that are just as close by, but my results from them have been mixed, and I prefer knowing who will be cutting my hair. Not sure what else to say about the place. They accept walk-ins, or you can book and appointment. It's crowded on Saturdays, and I never think ahead, so I always walk in during the week. Lynn's brother cuts hair on Fridays. He also does a good job. read more

So I called the number listed. Spoke with a lady and I asked her if they had time for a full set, she said yes. I then asked how much a full set would be she said $28. I then asked if she had colored acrylic powder and she said yes. I spent time in traffic to drive all the way out here to have them look at me like I was stupid when I said I'd like to do a full set and she told me to pick a color, I asked of I could see the powder color selection and then she said they don't do color acrylic. Really? I just talked to someone a half hour ago when I left who said you did. Okay, so I start to look at colors for shellac instead then she comes up to me and tell me she has an appt at 1 and that she'll start on me, then when the other gal gets here work on her, then when she's done will come back and work on me again... okay so I'm going sit here for an hour with unfinished nails just waiting for you to get done with your other full set client. I just walked out. In retrospect I should have made an appt. But the inconsistency here is insane. This is the 2nd time I've stopped by and walked out because of scheduling / pricing timing is f*cked up. But when someone calls in and they say they have time for a full set and they have plenty of staff, if you come in now? So I came in right away to just walk out. I'm not coming back here. read more

This nail salon is awesome! Not only do they do a good job with the manicures and pedicures, but they are SUPER FRIENDLY. I've been here a few times and have always left satisfied! As a (lazy) college student, I highly recommend getting shellac/gel nails since it last a super long time (2-3 weeks). The price that they offer is super affordable, which is a definite plus. This shop is cute, well done. However, the quality of my nails was very, very poor. I went in a week ago for a gel polish. I picked a color based on the guides they have hanging. The manicurist began to work on my nails, and did not ask me if I wanted to keep the length, or what shape. She did mostly a good job, they were a little shorter than I wanted, but most of them looked alright. There were a couple that I asked to fix because the shape was wonky, or they were different shapes/lengths on different hands. Turns out the color I picked didn't match the actual color of the polish. So I went to pick another one. Same thing. I was looking for a nice pink color. She didn't ask me if I liked the second color, but just went on painting. Alright. So, when she finished, they were fine. The color wasn't what I was looking for, and I had to go back and reshape a few of my nails. The next morning, one of my nails had already chipped. Now, a week later, the gel on one of the nails has snagged...not my nail under it - just the gel. AND - the most annoying part - is that the color has yellowed. It also is not consistently painted, so I can see variances in the polish on some nails. But now they're somewhat a yellow, and pink, and they look terrible. I won't be going back. They look terrible just one week in, for $28 + tip. read more

I don't know the name of the woman who did my pedicure but she was great too. Both times I was greeted warmly and shown to a chair right away and offered water. The service is speedy but I didn't feel rushed. The manicure (both times) lasted a long while with easy maintenance on my part. I painted a clear top coat every other morning. Same review here as for Kingsgate Salon - same stylist/owner: Absolutely love this place... specifically, Lynn - the owner. She does exceptional work with no frills. If you don't need the full salon experience, just want a quick, high quality cut - go see Lynn. She works at this salon a couple of days a week and then at Kingsgate Salon a couple of days. They also can always fit me in at the last minute. Appointments are fine; but really not necessary unless you need to make sure you're in and out fast. I have recommended several family members and friends to her and they have never been disappointed. Unfortunately, I can't say the same for the other two employees. read more
