OK let's start with the fact that the ladies are nice and there is plenty of parking. This is the first time in almost 20+ years I got a manicure again and I ordered a standard French tip. I ended up with something very odd and much more expensive. I had no clue walking out what the hell is on my finger nails... it does kinda look french tip, but it's big, bulky, your nails are completely unusable for standard nail stuff (like opening letters, peel off labels) and it feels like I got an extra 1/4 inch of stuff on it. After asking my friends, turns out that this is not your standard good old French tip, it's a SNS situation that you can't get off anymore. Yikes! I was just about to go and buy a nail polish remover when they told me that you can't use it for those kind of nails. I had to seriously google the whole disaster and also checked their website, instead of the $30 french tip manicure, they quietly upgraded me to the $55 SNS one. They never asked if I even wanted that and with me having absolutely no idea what the hell was going on, I couldn't intervene to tell them that this isn't what I ordered. I remember thinking that the price is way too much and why did I sit for over an hour what should have taken 30min. Lesson learned, I'll never ever do a nail service again. This will take months to grow out unless I'm willing to douse my hands in 100% acetone for 15-20min and try to get this glub back off (had to google this also)... I can't even say that this was a great job, since my friends said it's too thick and not looking good. If you are new to nails, this isn't the right place, they'll do whatever to charge the most expensive service even if you didn't order it. I assume a seasoned pro would have stopped them in their tracks, but now I'm stuck with this, can't use my nails, paid too much and can't get it off without a lot of effort. read more

My daughter and I went for a shellac manicure. I've been here before, and liked the place and service in the past. While my tech was good, the service for my daughter was really bad - 3 of her cuticles got cuts. One bled pretty bad. :( She being a shy kid, didn't tell anyone and told me after we left. I called and spoke to the person at the counter and informed them, but it was kinda late for that. I did get an apology, but the joy of getting nails was totally lost. Anyways - I don't think I'll be going back here. While we do get nicks and cuts, I would expect a place to be more careful with teenagers and young adults. This last time, the technician was 15 minutes late for a pre-scheduled appointment and then rushed through my appointment. My finger was cut with the sharp edge of a thick emery board file, and there was absolutely no attention to cuticles. Applied acrylic too thick and did not file nails to even length. I have found my go-to place in Redmond for my nails! I've tried a few places in the area, including Bellevue, and I've never been 100% satisfied. I liked that there's a person dedicated to taking calls, scheduling appointments, and overseeing everything and managing the place. It makes it easier to schedule appointments, pay when you're finished, and it keeps the place running smoothly. I called hoping to get an appointment on a Saturday, but the receptionist said they were full but it could take me right away. It was nice of them to accommodate me last minute, and they stayed later to make sure time was spent on me to give me the best care and attention. At other salons, I feel that the service is rushed and the service is sloppy. That was not the case at all here. The lady who did my pedicure spent a good amount of time cleaning my cuticles and callouses. She spent time checking to make sure the quality of work was good, and my feet never looked better! I did the spa pedicure, and the extra $15 is worth it for the extra scrubbing and pampering. The foot massage was good, and the nail polish application was perfect. I appreciated that she checked her job afterwards to make sure no polish was left on my skin and nothing like cuticles remained. If you need a pedicure, I highly recommend Nancy! A different lady did my nails. She was so good in listening to me on what I wanted for nail length and shape. She spent time cleaning my cuticles and making sure my nails looked perfect before applying gel polish. When my nails were going through the final dry cycle, the lady gave me an amazing shoulder and upper back massage. She also did a great hand massage with lotion. I wish I got her name, because I would book with her again. Overall, I am very happy with the place. It's easy to find and ample parking. It's so easy to make an appointment or have the receptionist work with you to fit you in. The place is clean, not cluttered, and everything is super sanitized. I love that the employees still wear masks and follow Covid safe protocols. The nail techs are very friendly and pay close attention to detail and take pride in their work. They don't rush you and make sure you are satisfied with their service. The prices are reasonable for the area. My gel manicure was $40, and my spa pedicure was $55. You definitely get your money's worth. I plan on coming here regularly. I'll take the receptionist's advice to book online a week in advance or call to make an appointment. read more

So this place used to be so great. The last 2 times has been terrible. I always pay more for the "spa" experience. Went with my husband and daughter. While we were soaking for pedicures my husbands lady was running behind. So he sat in water that eventually turned pretty cold. The lady came over and rushed his service. He asked her several times to be careful with his heel and she roughed it up a few times. He was wincing in pain. Once the pedicures were done we moved onto manicures. Mine turned out ok overall. My daughters nails were jagged and uneven. My poor husband got the super raw end of the deal. I guess his lady was still trying to make up time as she cut his cuticles and he was bleeding. He was done in no time flat. Before both myself and daughter and he started 10+ minutes after us. Jagged nails as well and uneven. I am sad because I cannot seem to find a nail place on the east side that cares. I am not too picky, but I do want to get what I pay for. I really wanted to love this place, but had a terrible experience. While I was there on Sunday, I asked the women doing my manicure to put a design on my ring finger. She told me that I didn't need one and that it wouldn't look good. I had to speak to the manager/owner to have her do it. Then less than a week after my manicure the paint is already chipping terribly and the black diamond fell off. I was going to write their management but they don't have a website or email to contact the owner directly. Personally, I feel like I should get a refund or my manicure redone, but I doubt their ownership will correct the situation. I've been going to Tips & Toes for a couple of years now - I am extremely happy to have such a fantastic place so close to my house! I met Diane on day one, and wouldn't change a thing! Her attention to detail and the care with which she does my nails is second-to-none. I'm not really sure what I have done to my hands - I think it's shellac polish on top of gel acrylics... (?) But I love that I can go three weeks without chipped and scratched polish... and I rarely break them, which, given how rough I am on my hands, is a miracle. Diane is excellent all-around, plus she's as sweet as can be! I've been going to this salon ever since it opened, the staff is always nice and precise. Walk-ins are always a bit more difficult so it's best to make an appointment! It's so awesome now that they have online booking which is a LIFESAVER for those of us who like to book late at night. My favorite is the herbal spa pedicure....... the best service on the menu. Hour long foot massage with paraffin wax and hot stones ahh . Front desk is so helpful and understanding. I've been here a couple times over the past several years and recently this past Sunday. I am a huge fan of this salon because of the cleanliness. The tools and nail stations are sanitary and they open the clean tools right in front of you. The pedicure bowls have liners as well. My nail tech, Sam, was really sweet and my nails look perfect. She really took her time and did a great job. She kept commenting on how "clean" my nails were! I wanted to laugh every time and I could tell my friend was holding back laughter too. I'm such a germophobe and probably wash my hands 50 times a day (not an exaggeration). My friends laugh at me for my sanitizer and hand washing...all in good fun...but to me- that just shows even more Sam's attention to detail! My husband was just like "what does she usually see?!" ;) The prices are very fair- maybe a little more than some of the smaller places, but my peace of mind that everything was correctly cleaned is enough to make up for it!!! read more

This is a great nail place if you're looking for something on the east side. I've tried lots around bellevue and a few in Redmond and I always end up coming here because they all do an amazing job with my pedicures. You can sign up for appointments and receive texts for reminders. They're quick but they make sure you enjoy your time there. The massage chairs are good.. the only weird setting some of the chairs start on is the bottom butt area so this is just a warning. Finally! A desirable claw-beautification location in close proximity to my life! My nails look freshly-French and fantastic, thanks to Cindy at Tips and Toes! My little piggies are also soft, content, and pretty, thanks to Viviane! The French, shellac, full-set took about an hour. Aside from a bit of glue on my fingertips, the nails looked perfect. I mentioned to Cindy that my nail beds are extremely sensitive, so she took the utmost care in shaping and filing them; no pain. She even said I was allowed to scream, "Ow! You hurt me!" in the crowded salon, if she actually hurt me. Hahaha! Cindy was very meticulous and had a feisty and fun personality! She made me laugh hysterically and wasn't afraid to call me out on my endless attempts to find a decent nail salon on the East side, as well as the fact that I was using a phone brand of a competitor to my employer. Quick-witted, personable, and absolutely adorable! #CindyFan The spa pedicure took about 45 minutes and was sensationally soothing. There are three options for this service and I opted for the regular spa. I didn't anticipate all the extras I received; bottled water, mud mask, sugar scrub, hot stone massage, two hot towel treatments, and another grande-finale-narcoleptic-snore-inducing massage that had me melting into their comfy spa recliners. Viviane has a patient, deliberate, magic touch. Divine. Clean environment, cute and thoughtful decor, advanced spa massage chairs with "the works," friendly, bubbly staff, and plenty of space. The man working reception is an excellent communicator and will ensure your needs are perfectly met and understood - major bonus. Parking is a bit scarce, but you can always park in front of PCC and walk over to the strip mall across the parking lot - get a few extra steps in for your day! It's worth it! read more

I've only done pedicures here but they are just basic. My issue is that they don't communicate with you and ask you the length of your nails that you want. I told her the length I wanted but she really didn't seem to understand. For $40 it would seem like they could make eye contact and make sure that they know what you want and that if you want to turn on the chair that you know how. Each time I go there they basically ignore me while doing the service which is kind of odd. My person hurried so that she could finish with me within the 30 minutes so that she could give a pedicure to someone else who worked there. I read good reviews, maybe there are a few service providers that are good and if you don't get them or you aren't a regular you just get an average service. I think the only way to effectively come here is to commit to coming all of the time and find someone you like to perform the service. It is handy that you can book online but I don't want to put my credit card on file with some third party app. The manager is effective at booking and accepting payment and the place inside looks clean. It's not that I wouldn't come here it's just so underwhelming and I definitely would not come here if you don't know what the service is that should be getting since they don't communicate well. read more
