Original review: The other reviewer is right, a couple of guys have set up shop here and expect money for helping you to sort your recycling. I just tell them I don't need any help and they leave me alone. I hate that and they seem permanent because they've been here the last few times I've gone. Besides that this place is still 5 stars! I always get the highest rate for my stuff, comingled or not. The guy who works there is always very friendly and gets through the line quickly. There hardly is a line on the weekdays though. This continues to be my favorite place for recycling besides the hagglers!

I had a good experience recycling there today. I read some scary reviews about being ripped off -…read morewas not the case for me. I estimate my payout based on quantity of aluminum and glass cans I had and CA CRV fee per each. I had about 30-60 of each; it was measured by weight. The payout matched my estimates. I received an itemized receipt and correct amount of cash. I had under 2 lbs of each type and their containers weigh 8.1 lbs. After they weigh my items in their container, 8.1 is subtracted. Since the payout matches my estimate - I think the weighing process is correct too. I also had a couple of plastic bottles on hand and they just hand counted them and paid me correctly. The employees work quick and the job is dirty so no one chats or smiles (understandably). One worker gave me brief pointers on how to sort my stuff. Others just gestured and silently keept up their quick pace. I plan to comeback. Note: limited parking. I came in on Saturday at opening and found plenty parking. But since it shares the driveway with In-N-Out, I wouldn't come in at lunch or dinner ours to avoid traffic jams.

This place has its own sanitation station, but I highly recommend bringing your own gloves and hand sanitizer. Aluminum and plastic bottles go into the orange net baskets (but should be separated). Large plastic gallons should be placed on top of small/standard water bottles. Glass bottles go into the grey plastic bins. If you come right before they open at 9AM, you'll likely run into 1-2 parties trying to be in and out of there as well. I always run into families here, but the community as a whole is pretty good about not hogging containers/baskets.
