I go here many times…read more Far too many times. Each visit feels like a magical town straight out of a fantasy book. The fresh scent of seafood draws you into the pier, with the soft sounds of the birds above and from the thrashing waves of the sea below. The pier is a nice place to walk around and relax, sometimes a little bit crowded. And if you are lucky, some days might have less people. But regardless, Redondo beach has some of the best buildings. It's a good place to go fishing outside or buying fish. They have a variety of markets selling fish out there. Although I can say I had a good experiance, I will admit that it can be pricey. The shops have very expensive souvenirs unlike the last time I visited long ago. I haven't been to the restaurants yet, well some of them. But I have tried the churros and the Chinese food. The churros tasted good, my favorite item to buy whenever I visit. And for anyone who wants to save, it would be a really good snack to try when visiting. The other foods I tried tasted good, but I feel like the pricing is a bit too much. I will rate this a five because despite the high pricing, me and my family will continue to come to Redondo Beach for a nice walk. Thank you for the experiance.

The city is 6.2 sq miles and its primary attractions are the Municipal Pier and the beach itself. While I love the beach, I rarely go. One, I can't be out in the sun for extended periods. Two, parking is always a hassle. Honestly, I prefer the beach just before sundown so I can see the beautiful sunset. Even though I grew up in Cali, I don't recall ever going to Redondo Beach. I recently met up with a friend at the Municipal Pier for dinner. We sat at a table overlooking the beach. It was nice to see people enjoying their time on the sand and in the water and also watching the seagulls. One guy was digging a hole so deep I thought he was going to bury a body. The beach and pier are nice. There are several places to eat and shop. There is also a large parking garage that is conveniently located next to the pier with easy beach access. The rate is $2 per hour.

You get up close to the raw beauty and it feels like its own private beach (albeit super rocky). This is the place for surfers. Wouldn't recommend for walkers or hikers... not sure how this is on all trails, but still beautiful.

Hermosa Beach reminds me a lot of our Huntington Beach in Orange County. Its a beach with tons of…read moreyoung people that play volleyball, Soccer, and surfing. All ages really come here, but Hermosa is a young beach full of fun and nightlife. Great restaurants, a bars with strict rules too. So do not come out go out a start trouble with strangers, because you will be arrested. Lots of bars out here too, so drink safe and stay safe.

We love coming through here, not for the sand or the water, but for the view, bar and grub hopping. Coming through on an off-season midweek late lunch, we weren't surprised to find no crowds - which we kinda liked. (We've been here many times, mostly during weekend peak times and offff...) We didn't miss that at all. There are tons of cute shops, eateries (many who are very dog friendly), and fantastic ocean views. If you feel like getting steps in, I suggest walking to the end of the pier and back. Parking is hit and miss. A challenge during the weekends, but plenty. Street and structure available. You can pay with cards, coins or through an app. It never gets old coming through. We shall return over and over again.

I paid for three but my charge wanted to leave after 2 hours of swimming and running around cause she said the water was too cold. You have the option to add more time at the kiosk, and you can opt into a text reminder. Reentry is a breeze. On a weekday, for $8 an adult and $7 per kid, I thought Seaside Lagoon was a steal. Particularly since they allowed children starting at 2yo and one of my charges could barely swim and I was weary of having her out in the open ocean. The water in the shallow end goes to about the child's shin. I kept eagle eyes on the kiddos, but there were also lifeguards watching the pool/beach hybrid. There were plenty of sand to play and build things with, and lots of water features made for jumping off of. More importantly there were trees and shade for me. The bathrooms were relatively clean. I don't think the changing area had any doors though. There were tons of kids and adults here on a summer afternoon, ready to camp out with their cooler, shade, chairs. We left relatively quickly. The children complained of sharp things in the sand. Next time I will bring snacks so we can stay for longer.

I had my first visit at Seaside Lagoon last weekend. I went with my cousins, my sister, her…read moreboyfriend and all their kids. I was the cool aunt helping them keep watch. Boy, it was hot! Luckily, we were all able to stay cool in the water. Tip: if the bottom of your feet get easily burned from the hot sand, bring water shoes. Mine came in handy when transitioning from the water onto to the very hot sand and vice versa. My feet could not handle it without them. The water is shallow making it easy for the adults to walk alongside their kid(s). They have a water slide on the deeper end, and several fountains for everyone to play under. It is best to get there early if you want to get a good spot. It does get crowded fast. Between noon and 1pm, there were people claiming spots on the grass because there weren't any left on the beach. I would also like to note that I appreciated the restroom not running out of hand soap or paper towels once. The restroom will get dirty as the day goes on because of high foot traffic. Not sure if they were short-staffed, but we were utterly disappointed with the experience. For the price point, we expected elevated service for a party of 10 with a mandatory 20% gratuity. I'm not going to blame the servers, as I feel like the service is a reflection of management and how they train and execute the experience for customers. Management, please make sure the glasses are full and that when serving dishes, we have the proper utensils. Now the food , I loved my dish, but my husband and sister did not like theirs.

I went on a hike here a few weeks ago and it's so beautiful! The beach is a short walk from the…read moreparking lot, but even from the lot, you get an amazing view of the peninsula. Walking down is a pretty steep decline, so be sure to watch your step. When you get down to the beach, you'll notice how clean and clear the water is and I was amazed by the number of tide pools there were! I was able to see so many crawfish, little baby crabs, and even a starfish! I've never seen so many sea creatures up close and personal so it was definitely a cool experience. It's really easy to spend a few hours here just taking everything in. We came at around 12pm on a Saturday and the trail wasn't too crowded. The trail itself is also very clean and not difficult; the most physically demanding part is walking back up to the parking lot from the beach because it's all incline, however, I think it's doable for most people. There is a parking lot that costs $12 for parking the entire day.

I've enjoyed walking here with friends and I always find myself in awe of the beauty around me. The rocky coastline, ocean views, and peaceful atmosphere make this a great place to take photos, go for a relaxing walk, or simply stop and admire the scenery. It is such a beautiful little spot to enjoy the California coast.
