Overall didn't mind living at Redpoint at all. It's a good option budget wise and you get a nice living space. Kitchen wasn't my absolute favorite, purely because of size and my preference on gas vs. electric stove. The grills are not great but somewhat manageable once you learn them. The shuttle would occasionally go down, but the leasing office would email and help with parking from what I remember. I've seen reviews about the office team not being helpful which has not been my experience. Sam has always been helpful with miscellaneous issues. Curious to see if any random move-out fees pop up at the end according to other reviews, but overall I would recommend for a "budget" option for living. Nice pool, good room/bathroom, good community areas, and staff has been responsive and helpful for me. Main reason for 4/5 stars is the grill situation. read more

Our tour of Redpoint Tempe wasn't entirely negative -- the townhouses themselves didn't look bad, and the girl who showed us around was nice enough. However, after talking to current residents, we heard there's a pretty bad bug problem. The biggest issue for us was the communication. We were very close to signing a lease, and staff members kept changing the offer details. In person, we were told we wouldn't have to pay a deposit, but later over email the same employee said we would. Overall, the inconsistent communication and lack of follow-through made the experience frustrating and left us feeling like they don't fully stand by what they say. read more

DO NOT SIGN A LEASE HERE. EVER. Redpoint Tempe is hands down the worst student housing experience I've ever had. The customer service is beyond poor -- unresponsive, unprofessional, and dismissive unless you threaten legal action. Here's what happened: I left over $1,000 worth of my personal belongings in the living room of my unit. Me and all three of my roommates continued paying rent for the summer. While my roommates handed in their keys because they moved out for the summer, we were still actively paying rent, and one roommate even planned to return for a weekend visit -- because it was still our apartment. Despite this, Redpoint moved other girls into our unit who were also paying rent and claimed this was somehow not "double booking." I never gave permission for anyone to enter my apartment or touch my belongings. My aunt and uncle drove over 12 hours to retrieve my things so I could use them again when I moved into a different place next school year. When they arrived, the apartment had been fully moved into by new residents, and none of my belongings were there. When I demanded answers, Redpoint claimed my belongings were simply "lost." That explanation makes no sense. The property has security cameras that would clearly show items leaving the residence, yet instead of reviewing footage or taking responsibility, they blamed the situation on "the cleaners." No proof, no follow-up, and no accountability. Redpoint admitted they accessed the unit without my consent. Their idea of what was "fair"? Covering my last month of rent -- which doesn't even begin to address missing property, violation of tenant rights, or the stress this caused. They also offered my aunt and uncle a $200 gas gift card, but only after I signed paperwork. I signed it. Months later, when I followed up, they told me they would not be providing it after all. I reached out for months requesting reimbursement for my missing items and was completely ignored until I mentioned legal action. On top of all of that: * The shuttle to campus was unreliable, and when it did run, the AC often didn't work in the Arizona summer heat. * The pest situation was unacceptable -- scorpions were common, and I even found a large cockroach in my closet. This place shows a complete lack of respect for residents, their property, and basic tenant rights. The way this situation was handled was careless, dishonest, and unacceptable. DO. NOT. LIVE. I lived at redpoint from jan 2022 to July 2025 (was at asu from jan 2022 and graduated may 2024). Redpoint in general is a nice gated community, when the gates worked. However, the pool was often closed for repairs. The parking situation is horrible, I struggled to find somewhere to park nearly every night during the semester because I didn't sign up for covered parking. Dont bother hosting friends or family if they have cars because they will likely get towed even if you fill out a permit. During the spring inspection I was charged a $55 cleaning fee - i called for clarification and they said there was staining in my bathtub and carpet. I asked for pictures to see what they were referring to and they said they would reinspect and see about removing the charge. Photos were never sent, inspection never happen so I had to pay the fee or my rent would be late I feel like half the time the front desk people dont really know whats going on which is expected given its a just a part time job but can be frustrating Would appreciate it if they enforced the pet limit per home, half the time the house smelled like animals because there were so many pets in the home The shuttle to and from campus saved me a ton of money in parking fees so that was a highlight, however the shuttle would often break down or have issues with ac making it inconvenient Redpoint served its purpose of being cheap and close to campus but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone unless you have nowhere else to go and youre rooming with friends or people you already know read more

When I moved out they charged me $50 for a downstairs carpet clean and when I called and asked about it they said because the carpet in the living room was damaged. I was told to move in on Saturday and when I got there the office was closed and couldn't get a key to move in until Monday. I had to rent a room until Monday and lost a day of work. Folks, take a notice that there is a response from Redpoint. A robotic, marking like response to mitigate backlash from exposure to issues and policies that cause harm, yet no solution or compensation is or was given. To invite me in writing to move in on a Saturday and respond that it's communication issues and that's it, is a red flag for you all out there. They can care less. And the actions taken by Redpoint scream...Tenants are just dollars to be had. Be warned. Also, the automated response from Redpoint to this feedback, further establishes proof that there is no one there for you. It's a silent and automated fu-k U. I've reluctantly stayed here because of pricing. When I first signed, my lease was $800 a month now I pay over $1200 a month and that is one of the reasons why I'm moving. In the past for inspections, they would send out an email a week ahead, saying that they were going to come into units in groups and given an estimated date for that group of units. But not actually give a specific time they would come into your apartment. They came in didn't knock didn't say maintenance or ring the doorbell. I was asleep, but was awoken by hammering in the room below me and was freaked out because no one was home for the summer. Apartment must give 24 hour notice before entering someone's dwelling. The gates are constantly broken and I've had my bike stolen from outside, even though it was chained up because homeless people can roam around the apartment complex. Yes there are security guards at night, but most of the time they're on their phones or inside the clubhouse. One of the reasons why I move here was the pool however, the pool is constantly closed for maintenance related issues, which I understand but also taking months to take care of it is unacceptable because we pay for these amenities at a premium cost. If you want friends to come over, don't bother if they have cars. I've had several people towed from open parking even though they filled out the visitor parking pass and had to pay $150 to get their cars back even if I'm not using my parking spot and they're in it I can't do anything about it. The packaging room is a mess. You never know where your package is and sometimes you don't even get a code to be able to access your package. It's a disorganized mess and it takes me at least 15 minutes each time I look for my package. The old system where staff used to grab your package from the back worked much better than a room full of packages with a single security camera and anybody can steal your package at anytime. Earlier on of the year, my AC went out and it took them two months for them to fix my AC. They put in a portable fan to cool my room off, but didn't tell me that they were coming in to do it until I got a notification saying that the work order had been completed. Additionally if you have a problem, and need to call staff and you're away from your apartment. You are greeted by an AI chat bot. The only way I was able to talk to anybody with this is if I said emergency and even if I said that, sometimes I would have to say it several times before I got to talk to any staff, this is incredibly irritating and I know that it's to cut cost, but what could have been a five minute phone call turns into a 15 minute phone call going back-and-forth between an AI chat box. I get the appeal for sophomores looking for a place to live but the shuttle ride isn't reliable (frequently breaks down) so getting from campus to the apartment sucks. Don't sign here read more

I lived at Redpoint for one year. During my time at redpoint, there were many issues with my experience. First of all, for the first 4 months, cockroaches flooded the common areas and apartments. You couldn't hang out by the pool or even walk to it without seeing 10 of them. Speaking of the pool, expect it to be closed for about half of the time you live there. And when they close the pool, the close the lounge chairs, fire pits, and grills with it. Apartment was also damaged upon my move in including the carpet, towel rack, not cleaned whatsoever with animal fur and pee all over. When the maintenance team fixed my closet rack, which randomly fell in the middle of the night, they severely damaged the wall in my closet. The gate isn't secure, people can just follow you in or wait for others to get in. Nearby shooting was heard, as the complex is right next to a very sketchy residential neighborhood. It's not walkable to ANYTHING. Upon move out, I was charged $170+ in cleaning fees that were all invalid. They charged me $40 for leaving a soap dispenser by accident. They charged me $100 for carpet cleaning when the carpet was already damaged when i moved in, which was reported. I was charged $50 for "room cleaning" because the night stand had some dust on it. Very malicious scam which is unfortunate because the people living here are college students. read more

I have been living in this shithole for almost two years and have had nothing but problems. If you are looking for a place to live, do not be fooled by the pastel and cute appearance of this place. It looks like a place from the Truman Show, and it is just that: an illusion. Most of the good reviews written here seem to be fake and written by the people that work here as they are desperate to bury the truth. First , when my roommates and I moved in, the apartment was absolutely FILTHY. There was black mold everywhere, including the inside of both the washer and the dryer, all over my bathroom walls, and dust and dust everywhere. No staff made the effort to clean the apartment before we moved in and my family was appalled. Second, the air conditioning completely broke in our apartment for almost two weeks. This happened during AUGUST. It was 90 degrees in our apartment for TWO WEEKS before anyone came to fix it. We put MULTIPLE requests for this. Don't even get me started on the stupid package system they have. My packages NEVER get a code and I'm stuck having to wait on my roommate to get a code to the delivery room or until the front office opens again causing me to wait sometimes days for my package. The trash "valet" they have too? Stupid. We get trash violations everyday because we have "too many trash bags" outside. Do they want us to leave them inside our homes????? Next, while the redpoint shuttle was very convenient during school, I'd rather crawl home. I'm not sure how they screen their drivers upon hire, but the driver I had yelled at me and other passengers in front of the entire bus because we were ONE MINUTE LATE. WE PAY FOR THIS SHUTTLE. Last, the parking. We pay so much money to this joke of an organization and can't do what we want with the parking spots. Unlike other apartments, you can't have family members or friends park in YOUR spot even if you aren't there. They WILL tow you and they WILL make you pay 150$ with no empathy!! This is what happens when you have a team of irresponsible, inexperienced college students running the entire thing who make no effort to appeal to their tenants. Quit trying to "experiment" with new amenities and start listening to the people/prisoners that live here. Don't even know why I renewed my lease. The "low" prices aren't even low! We signed up because of how it was advertised (800$ rent) and by the end of the year, we were paying 1100$. Save yourself the thousands of dollars you will lose to this god awful complex. They need to hire QUALIFIED employees instead of 18 year olds who don't even know they exist. I've lived in a house with no running water in the canals of the Philippines and still have more complaints about this place. I tried to contact someone here because a package of mine was mistakenly routed here. I gave the unit number, apartment number, my name, and exact date the package would arrive (two days from now) and asked if they could please hold the package for me and I could have someone pick it up, or pick it up myself when in town. I was told they could not help me because "they have too many part time employees and get too many packages". No offer to help whatsoever, when it all it would require is a note. This place is a joke with no care for the safety for their residents. They constantly have gate problems, homeless people are often walking in and out of the property, and cops have been on site every day for six days. Redpoint has not addressed it once or informed their residents of what is happening which is unsettling and doesn't make anyone feel safe. They care more about getting people to sign leases than maintaining a clean and safe environment. They won't assist residents whose items have been stolen off their porch or from their car but expect residents to provide footage from personal doorbell cameras when it's for THEIR benefit. Their office workers are disrespectful and pushy about signing with them. The rent prices are atrocious and expect high utility bills, especially if you have inconsiderate roommates who leave lights on all the time. Redpoint is not a terrible place to live. It is also no where near the best. Communication is lacking, front gate is often broken, pool is dirty. I lived there for two years and when I moved out they tried to charge me almost $400 for supposed "move out fees". When I complained, my bill dropped to $100 showing that they were simply trying to take my money. The front office and the way they run their property is the reason for this review. This rating is for a couple of Redpoint employees. Mitchell and Dodge were incredibly helpful for a misunderstanding that we experienced at Redpoint. Dodge was quick to respond with a follow up phone call, just as he said he would. Michell was also very sympathetic to our situation and really came through with what he had promised. He was very kind and was working extremely hard to make our situation better. We even offered him tip money for his strength and helping us move some items which he humbly declined. I have contacted Mitchell 3 times in regard to my final statement. Initially they had listed a full set of keys, carpet for the room and carpet for the stairs. I brought to there attention the keys were turned in and I'm not sure why I'm paying for carpet. He replied and said keys were a mistake and removed that and said I still owe for bedroom and stairs. I then asked about carpet on stairs and bedroom again.. he never replied but the person who subleased as well upstairs with me who moved in TWO weeks BEFORE me got that removed from her final statement. Super unprofessional. ^ I subleased and moved in March of this year and moved out July 21st. His last email claimed I was paying for build up on carpet.. no response and no removal of carpet on stairs. Oh and they didn't clean a thing before I moved in after someone else to take over there lease. I scrubbed the shower, bathroom, cleaned the carpet etc. during covid which is INSANE. Lived here from my sophomore year until my senior year. Staff is very accommodating and has great customer service. Maintenance responds quickly and have always been respectful of your space. The property is clean, and feels homey. You can tell that this place cares about its residents. Would recommend this place to any student living in the tempe area. If I could leave zero stars I would. Redpoint takes advantage of fresh 18 year olds and has them sign leases a year in advance without any proof of income that they can even support the rent they are charging. And then to cut them a "deal" they say you can break the lease by paying 200. I don't know how many victims they have taken advantage of but it is disgusting. My daughter was one of their victims and normally I would make her pay for her own mistakes of signing a lease however before her move in date she was hit by a car sustaining severe injuries. I provided documentation pleading with them about her medical condition and provided documentation and they basically told me to f*** off and pay. I have tried to speak with them of my concerns and they literally show no regard as human beings. They are literally money hungry and it shows. read more

Very disappointed with living at Redpoint. There have been a variety of frustrating circumstances and the unit is falling apart. To name a few, our oven door fell off, the fridge stopped working and all our groceries spoiled, and the stair ramp was not secured to the wall when we moved on which is very dangerous. Also, I am woken up multiple nights a week by parties and people yelling outside. (Don't both requesting security to ask them to quiet down because security will just tell the party who complained and you will wake up with trash outside your unit.) Speaking of trash, there is always trash overflowed throughout the community. The pool area on the weekend is disgusting as there is empty bottles everywhere and the pool turns green. Also, people do not know how to pick up their dogs poop so watch where you step. Most recently, I got a frustrating email that I had to remove my dog from the unit within two days. I was not in any breach of pet addendum and after speaking with an attorney they confirmed this was unacceptable. Redpoint claimed that it was because my roommates never signed the pet agreement and that my roommates had "concerns" with living with an animal, however they never sent over an agreement to begin with and my roommates confirmed they never told management my dog could not be here. This is just one of many examples of unorganized the management, if they sent out the agreement form months ago when I registered my dog this could have all been avoided. Also, when emailing with them I continuously brought up that it was impossible and disappointing they would expect an out of state college student to relocate their pet in such short time, not to mention my attorney said this goes against the amount of notice I would need to have. Sadly, Mitchell disregarded my concerns in all of his responses. This really showed me they do not care about helping and working with their residents. read more

I wish I could give them no stars. DO NOT LEASE HERE ! This should be illegal. Their representative agreed to a special arrangement for a shorter than usual lease, but the lease addendum was written incorrectly. When I attempted to contact her, many times, she would not return my calls. I was told I would need a co-signature to lease but I was not able to get one. So I informed them right away I could not lease. They did not respond or acknowledge my multiple messages. Instead they now claim I owe THOUSANDS of dollars for a lease that was never accurate or intended, without a day of leasing, and have turned me over for collections. I have already disputed this claim, but now must wait up to 60 days with this collection agency hanging over my head threatening to mess up my credit rating. Not only is this place on the lower price range, it's a great place to live. It's so homey and I feel so comfortable here. They have so many amenities. I love laying by the pool and using the study rooms to by advantage. The employees are amazing and so helpful. If something is wrong if the lights in your unit or anything else, maintenance is able to be there almost instantly. They have valet trash pick up which is nice. Mitchell (assist general manager) is lovely. He is always a pleasure to talk to, he is helpful, and can answer any question you have. I love loving here read more

I love redpoint I subleased last year and then this school year I signed my own lease both times have been amazing! The pool is great! The clubhouse is awesome and the in unit laundry is even better. I don't even go to ASU I go to another university, but the value you can't beat that! Especially for me as a student teacher on my own the value is great!
